Five stars!
I have visited the Columbus Farmers Market on Route 206 many times, and it has really expanded over the years. It gets extremely crowded on the weekends and parking can be difficult, so make sure you pack your patience and give yourself plenty of time.
This time, we walked to the other end of the market and came across this wonderful herbal store. It was very busy, so we went inside and observed while we waited. A gentleman named Malachi was giving customers detailed information and suggestions about the different herbs they offered. When we finally had an opportunity to speak with him, we found him to be extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. You can tell him what you are looking for, and he takes his time explaining the options.
They also had enormous seeded watermelons, which are hard to find these days. Malachi was kind enough to cut ours into chunks for us. He taught me to thump the watermelon and listen for a deep sound to help determine whether it is good. Once he cut it open and I tasted a piece, I knew we had chosen well. It was very sweet and delicious.
The store carries herbs that can be steeped as tea, herbs that can be added to food, fresh fruit, soursop, sea moss, elderberry products, health drinks, handmade items, and so much more. They truly seemed to have something for everything. I purchased a one month supply of an herbal cholesterol blend for myself and a diabetes blend for someone else. I especially appreciated that these products came with a money back guarantee.
Please understand that this store stays busy because Malachi takes time with each customer. You may have several people ahead of you, but the personal attention and information are worth the wait. George was also very helpful and contributed to our great experience.
The herbal store accepts cash and Cash App. There is another store around the corner that carries items such as oils and handmade soaps, and I believe additional payment options may be available there.
The store is located inside the Columbus Farmers Market at the far end, away from the entrance most people use. Drive straight down toward the area where the parking lot curves, park near that end, and enter through the first door before making the left.
I live in Philadelphia, but I will definitely make the trip back. I prefer purchasing herbs in person from people who can explain what they are selling instead of ordering unfamiliar products online. I plan to return before cold season to explore more of their natural products.
I give this business five stars for the knowledge, patience, service, and selection. If you visit, let me know what you think! read more
