However, I was suggested to try this place by a friend. First, the location can be tough to find, but it's worth the effort to find. Use Apple Maps. The selection in the store is quite vast and can be slightly overwhelming. However, the manger is full of information. Straight talker which is greatly appreciated. He is very knowledgeable and honest about what works and what doesn't. The service is stellar and that's why it's worth a visit.

All of the herbs I purchased were far from okay but the worst is the rose petals that are crawling with bugs as you can see from the holes in the picture and if you look close enough you can see the little bugs!! The chamomile flowers are absolutely disgusting as well as you can see by the gross, old, dead color!! I will never order from them again and will tell all my herbalist friends to stay clear!!

Penn Herb Company - Mixed Feelings, Honest Take…read more I was really looking forward to checking out Penn Herb Company, especially thinking it might offer more variety than what I've seen at Reading Terminal. And to be fair, they did have some cool options, a few new brands, and unique finds I hadn't come across before. Definitely a good spot if you're into wellness and herbal products it helped to take some time and read up on a few things. When we first walked in, the vibe seemed friendly and calm. My family and I (just the three of us) were really just browsing, not touching everything, and stayed together. But the energy shifted a bit. Only one older staff member acknowledged us--but she also seemed to be following us. We'd change aisles, and she'd change aisles too. At one point I asked, "Are you following us? If so, can you help me find the chlorophyll?" She did show us, but the experience rubbed me the wrong way. The price wasn't clearly marked as member-only, which I only realized later. Then, after she left, another staff member appeared in the same area--which made me feel profiled. Not a great feeling. At checkout, I gave my number to sign up for the membership, thinking I'd get the discount but I never received it, and no one explained why. Left feeling confused and a bit disappointed. This was just my personal experience, and maybe others have had better luck. But as someone who values both wellness and respectful service, this visit left me feeling a little let down.

Grabbed a Margherita pizza for my granddaughter and a Truffle Mushroom with Caramelized Onion on a gluten free crust for me. First off... the smell... it was everything to not just dive in (and if we didn't need to get home we totally would have lounged in their cute little seating area... so cozy!!!). These pizzas were delicious!! I couldn't taste the Margherita pizza because it wasn't gluten-free, but the three-year old devoured three slices! The truffle mushroom was SOOO good!! I'm a pizza lover and since going gluten-free I've kind of given up on hoping to ever have great pizza again. This pizza delivered!! It was the perfect mix of sweet, savory, and umami... just YUM!!

Five stars! I have…read morevisited the Columbus Farmers Market on Route 206 many times, and it has really expanded over the years. It gets extremely crowded on the weekends and parking can be difficult, so make sure you pack your patience and give yourself plenty of time. This time, we walked to the other end of the market and came across this wonderful herbal store. It was very busy, so we went inside and observed while we waited. A gentleman named Malachi was giving customers detailed information and suggestions about the different herbs they offered. When we finally had an opportunity to speak with him, we found him to be extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. You can tell him what you are looking for, and he takes his time explaining the options. They also had enormous seeded watermelons, which are hard to find these days. Malachi was kind enough to cut ours into chunks for us. He taught me to thump the watermelon and listen for a deep sound to help determine whether it is good. Once he cut it open and I tasted a piece, I knew we had chosen well. It was very sweet and delicious. The store carries herbs that can be steeped as tea, herbs that can be added to food, fresh fruit, soursop, sea moss, elderberry products, health drinks, handmade items, and so much more. They truly seemed to have something for everything. I purchased a one month supply of an herbal cholesterol blend for myself and a diabetes blend for someone else. I especially appreciated that these products came with a money back guarantee. Please understand that this store stays busy because Malachi takes time with each customer. You may have several people ahead of you, but the personal attention and information are worth the wait. George was also very helpful and contributed to our great experience. The herbal store accepts cash and Cash App. There is another store around the corner that carries items such as oils and handmade soaps, and I believe additional payment options may be available there. The store is located inside the Columbus Farmers Market at the far end, away from the entrance most people use. Drive straight down toward the area where the parking lot curves, park near that end, and enter through the first door before making the left. I live in Philadelphia, but I will definitely make the trip back. I prefer purchasing herbs in person from people who can explain what they are selling instead of ordering unfamiliar products online. I plan to return before cold season to explore more of their natural products. I give this business five stars for the knowledge, patience, service, and selection. If you visit, let me know what you think!

Turkey Time? Dipaola…read moreTurkey is a familiar fixture at several NYC greenmarkets I frequent, including NYC Union Square and Forest Hills. Their fresh turkey sausages are always a favorite in my household. So if you're ever near Hamilton, NJ and are in need of fresh turkey, say no more! You can get anything turkey at their home base here in Hamilton, be it whole turkeys, Turkey parts (Legs, Breasts), Turkey Sausage (Italian, hot, sweet, and breakfast), Turkey Pies and Ground Turkey. Everything is super fresh in various sizes to fit your needs. If it's your first time, here are a few things to keep in mind; they don't take credit cards so bring cash, they have weird but set store hours during the week so call before you go and they DO NOT SELL turkey stock. But they will sell you parts to make your own! Also don't be turned away by the unassuming storefront. At first glance it looks like a personal residence but the dirt driveway leads up to turkey goodness. If you come right before the big day every year, be prepared for a bigger crowd but the staff do move quickly. Lastly, I've even seen a patrol car in front to make sure no one makes any illegal left turns into the driveway so be careful!
