After meeting her the first time I knew she was a perfect match for me. Lynn has a very hands on approach, but is gentle and does not push you to pain. Lynn also explains everything she is doing and why she is doing it. She makes you feel very comfortable. She also offers great hours 6am-6pm, and even then if that doesn't work she will find something that does! Lynn sees her patients individually versus some PT's who have to see multiple patients at a time. Lynn spends quality time with you for close to an hour. Lynn provides a variety of stretches and will find you one that is comfortable for your current level. While I am glad I was discharged, I will certainly miss seeing Lynn! If you are in need of a physical therapist, I HIGHLY recommend Lynn!

After years of being an athlete with all the sprains and strains that it entails, I feel very…read moreblessed to have gotten a helping hand at Pappas Physical Therapy. Their location is near the highway and highly accessible from many different roads. They are located in a fairly new, clean location that is well maintained and offers ample parking. Their office is on the second floor and easy to reach, unlike some hospitals or medical buildings that seem like a labyrinth. While the therapists at Pappas deserve high praise, what makes this office unique is their availability. Every time I was injured or needing care, I was always greeted by courteous staff that got me in at the very longest within 24 hours, and often, upon my doctors' recommendation, on the same day. The staff is highly knowledgeable, athletic and above all fit appearing; nothing against those who are overweight but I don't want to hear about how to take care of my body from someone who obviously does not. Their advice is spot on, their excercise recommendations are commensurate with a person's physical conditioning and symptoms. The location offers various other treatment modalities, one of which was some kind of infra red treatment. They also have a gym where the therapists double up as personal trainers, catering to a less physically fit crowd that wishes to get back into shape. Another issue that I found very reassuring about the ethics of Pappas' staff is that as soon as I start to improve, since I am athletic and know my way around the workouts, they often recommend just continuing the excercises at home and don't make me keep coming back so I don't pay a ton of copayments. I have been to various therapists through the years as recommended by different doctors in my stages of life and levels of athleticism. I even was under the care of some therapists through a varsity college team. By far, Pappas has done it the best for me and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I don't have any other orthopedic doctor to compare Dr. Michael Belanger to, but in comparison to…read moremany other doctors that I've been to throughout my life, he certainly was one of the best. My accident was on a early Saturday morning in April of 2010. I was walking to my car via the back walk way/driveway and it had rained the night before causing water to pool up in the bottom of the drive where I park my car. As I took a step off of the walk and into the drive, my right foot slipped out in front of me and my left foot stayed in its place, however; the tibia bone (inside ankle bone) went towards the ground. I heard and felt a snap and I knew instantly that I had broken my ankle. My friend drove me to the Fatima hospital emergency room where I was seen quickly and upon a thorough examination and x-rays; it was determined that I had broken both the tibia and fibula bones and there was a good chance I would need surgery. The emergency room doctor referred me to Dr. Belanger at The Center for orthopedics and they were able to schedule an appointment for me on Monday. Going to see Dr. Belanger I knew nothing about him. My roommate at the time drove me to my appointment (since I broke my left ankle and own a 5 speed auto, I couldn't drive for 3 months.) I checked in with the receptionist, was taken in for more x-rays and then finally met with Dr. Belanger shortly thereafter. He was very kind and funny - unusual for a doctor. He's a younger man, which is probably the reason I thought he was so dang cool, and cute! He explained that yes, I would indeed need surgery and advised me to wait about a week to do so in order to let the swelling go down. He was very patient with my questions and explained everything in detail. The surgery was done at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket, my mother came with me and Dr. Belanger came out prior to me going in under the knife and explained everything to me and my mother again. Dr. Belanger did a fantastic job with the surgery, leaving minimal scarring (considering I have a plate and 11 screws in my left ankle.) All of my follow up visits at The Center for Orthopedics were pleasant and without complication. This place was always busy, packed to the brim with people, but they are efficient in seeing everyone in a timely manner. Even Dr. Belangers secretary was very great to work with. I wish I hadn't had to have gone through this horrendous accident, but hey... it happened. The only good outcome of the whole ordeal is that I was thankfully matched up with Dr. Belanger and The Center for Orthopedics and working with them made the experience much easier to deal with.

Dr. Belanger is articulate and has great bedside manner and explained exactly what caused my injury and how to prevent it in the future, along with prescribing physicial therapy. Cons are the staff, they are very cold and condescending. I arrived at 8am for an 8:15 appointment and they were upset j was there that early. I'm not sure why. The office also doesn't like it when you ask questions about billing. Besides that, everything was groovy.
