I definitely would not recommend going to this veterinary service anymore I used to recommend it to everyone I knew. not only once but twice did we need care and advice and I can't even return a phone call. definitely will not go back and would not recommend at all. best to go to a full veterinary Care service, I would rather drive a distance than to use them again read more

I had appointment with Baystate services on Friday,October 8th. Henry, my dog, had a skin condition that in the past had been treated at Baystate and I was satisfied with the results. I cannot say this for my Friday appointment. The Vet Tech came out and I explained what the problem was and he was then taken into the office. A short time later Henry was brought back out and I was told that Dr. Selavka was not in and I should call later so I could pick up the remaining medication. I was told at the time that they gave Henry a shot for his skin condition. I called later - twice - and was told they had not heard from the Doctor. I stopped at the office to check the box where medication is left and there was nothing for Henry - only Bodie. I called again on Monday and left a message. I called again today and again left a message. In all I have called 4 times since Friday and I have not received a return call . I had paid for the entire bill with my credit card - which included medication I did not receive. I also noticed on invoice they gave me it still showed the balance I just paid. I intend to contact my credit card provider and explain the situation. Henry is still itchy and his skin condition is worse. Up until this point I was satisfied with the services received. I used Bay State's services today. Excellent service! They were here right on time and did a great job finding out what was wrong with my cat. Very knowledgeable, compasionate, excellent customer service. The price was much lower than i expected, considering the shots and meds they had to give him. I can't say enough about these ladies. I am an owner of a GSP that is aging and loosing the use of her hind end. If you have ever experienced this you know the treatment is not consistent with every dog. It takes experience and knowledge to prescribe medication(s) to address the pain and inflammation. The pain and discomfort changes frequently and it takes time to get the correct medication and dosage to provide for your pet's needs. It can get expensive, especially for door to door service, it is not the case here. They have worked with my girl many times and at short notice and are so kind and loving. I like that I get honest answers to very hard and sensitive issues about her life span and projected outcome. We all need that compassion and honesty in our lives. You need a vet, this is the vet for you. read more

I have three special dogs that can be very difficult to take to the vet. I found the vet and her staff were very caring and kind to my babies! They came to the house, did all our annual needs, and everyone enjoyed the experience. I am so glad I found them. They are so reasonably priced and take the challenge out of the experience. They found treats for each pup that they liked while they were being examined. The vet even got down on their level versus picking up a 80 pound dog, and making them nervous on a table. They will be my first call from now on when it comes to my dogs! read more

Dr. Selavka and her assistant Tanya are the BEST! Switching to a mobile vet is the best thing I ever did. My fear aggressive dog no longer needed a muzzle to be treated by these kind, compassionate, animal-savvy ladies. They are available on call for questions and concerns but will carve time out of their jam packed schedule to get to the house quickly when that is necessary. They can perform any procedures in their van that would be necessary. When one of my beloved dogs had to ultimately be euthanized due to an aggressive oral tumor it was a peaceful process undertaken here at home where he was happiest and most comfortable. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Selavka's care, consult, and genuine compassion. read more
