I opted to put Bo up in the fancy state room, and paid and extra $5.00 for an extra 15 min. of play time for each day, equaling extra $15.00, but worth it. -Pictures! I could check my customer portal on my cell, and saw pics of Bo getting used to his surroundings and playtime. He mainly sniffed around, lol. When I picked him up, his bedding was washed, I did opt out for the discharge shampooing that comes with the fancy state room reservation. Bo will be going there again, I am very happy with the staff and the accommodations.

I brought my dog to Adam for a 4-week boot camp type training to help with some behavioral issues,…read moreprimarily what I perceived as aggression towards other dogs. Adam trained my dog to really focus on us and to come whenever we call him no matter what might be distracting him. He also taught him how to properly walk on the leash. In addition to this, and in order to directly address our concerns, Adam had our dog interact with all of the dogs he had at his home, and took him to the dog park so he could socialize and be taught when his behavior was appropriate vs. when it wasn't. The training my dog got was great, but I think even more importantly than that is what my husband and I got out of this. We learned what our dogs behavior means and how to address it. We learned to look for certain warning signs when he's around other dogs that may indicate we we should avoid interaction, etc. We're now much more comfortable taking our dog to the park and allowing him to interact with other dogs. Because of that, he will get much more socialization and naturally continue improving on his training as he begins to trust dogs and people. Adam has continued to make himself available for any of my questions and additional training sessions. He has also followed up a couples time to check in on my dog and see if I had any questions. I definitely recommend Obedient Paws for anyone who needs some training for their pups.

They had a fight in the morning and a second one in the evening. The dogs were left unattended, together during day play. The "handlers" apparently blew the airhorns to get the other dog to stop attacking my dog, that didn't work so then ran to get Adam. What if he wasn't there? My dog would probably not be here today. My dog and the other dog were put back together later the same day, which does not make any sense to anyone with a functioning brain. I didn't know the extent of my dogs injuries due to the attack. Adam tried to negotiate with me to pay the vet bill from his vet even before me being able to see my dog. MY DOG GOT ATTACKED DUE TO YOUR NEGLIGENCE. He offered to give me a free week if I paid $500-600 for the vet bill. Just goes to show you how absolutely money hungry he is and what he's willing to put at risk ( YOUR DOG). I took my dog to our regular vet that Thursday and he had to have 2 drains surgically put into his leg to let it drain and keep swelling down. Not once did Adam apologize for what happened. Not once did he express any compassion or sympathy. That's when I realized it's all just money for him. You and your dog are just another dollar sign to him. This is just a warning for those of you thinking of coming here. He hires people off the street who have 0 dog training or experience with handling dogs to work for him. He is an extremely rough handler, i've watched him myself. The things that are done to your dog when no one is watching makes my blood boil. Please think twice about what may happen to your pup while in their care. My dog paid the price, don't let yours also. We've had a long 3 years of recovery for my dog to be able to trust other people and dogs again. He will never be the dog that he was before because of Adam and Obedient Paws. A strong word of warning about Dr. Ashley Powell and Animal Medical Center:…read more We took our dog in for an emergent but common procedure. He was diagnosed quickly and surgery was recommended (to be performed by Dr. Koegel). Hours go by with no updates so I called to find out what was going on. Dr. Ashley Powell (the co-owner of the practice) got on the phone to tell me our dog died during surgery and Dr. Koegel was upset so she sent her home. Dr. Powell gave an - we don't really know what happened the procedure itself went great he just didn't do well - explanation of what happened. We went in to say goodbye and during our second post-surgical interaction she said the same thing - no clear explanation of what happened. My husband and I are both in medicine and knew something was off here. On our THIRD conversation after demanding to know what transpired during the procedure step by step (and demanding to speak to the lead surgeon Dr. Koegel) we learned that Dr Koegel mistakenly cut into our dogs diaphragm and called Dr. Powell into the room to help stabilize him while Dr. Koegel attempted to suture the laceration. This unforced surgical error was what killed our dog (admitted by all parties in our 4th conversation). What is more disturbing to me than a mistake happening during a procedure is the lack of professionalism, transparency and ethics by Dr. Koegel and Dr. Powell at every step. Dr. Powell runs the practice and found it reasonable to send Dr Koegel home instead of doing the ethical thing of facing the family and explaining what happened and taking that responsibility. Most importantly, Dr. Powell was not honest during the first two conversations about what happened during the procedure even though she was in the room. Medical professionals have a solemn obligation to conduct themselves with integrity even in the tough moments and Drs. Powell & Koegel lack that fidelity. We can't accept the idea of something like this happening to another family so please reconsider your vet care - Dr. Powell also co-owns Ally Urgent Medical Care off North Great Neck Rd in addition to co-owning Animal Medical Center. Dr. Koegel has since left AMC.

We have trusted Fur'st Choice both for daycare and for overnight boarding. All services have been wonderful, and we feel very comfortable with Frankie in their care. We usually elect for the exit bath prior to pick-up. Our dog is always clean, happy, and bright-eyed upon our arrival to take him home. We highly recommend Fur'st Choice to others in need of daycare or boarding for their canine family members.

I was made aware of their strict policy of dogs acting out: One strike and you're out. It was also his first day there and I can only imagine that my dog was feeling anxious on his first day as some children or normal people would be at their first day at anything. I'm also disappointed in hearing how they handled my dog. He's been going to doggy daycare since he was a puppy, has worked this multiple dog trainers throughout the years, and not once have I heard professionals grab dogs by their collar in the middle of a fight. We were taught by our trainers and past doggy daycare centers not to do that. This is extremely unfortunate because our dog's vet is right next door and now we'll have to explore a further option for us. I only recommend this place if you're interested in spending weeks to fulfill their requirements, pay for additional shots, fight every week to be that "special caller" that'll be granted daycare (you can only reserve a week in advance - if you're lucky), and cross your fingers that your dog doesn't get hit with the "one strike and you're out" policy. Oh, and also be fine with workers that resort to pulling a dog's collar in the middle of a fight. Just a tip, one of our dog's last daycare places used bitter apple spray before resorting to touching the dogs.

I love watching them play while looking at their cameras in the lobby! By the time they are picked up when I get off of work, they are out in the back seat! The rest of the evening they are asleep on the couch from playing all day! We have also boarded both a few times and have had no complaints! I…read moresaw one young man hit a brindle dog today in the face and then yell at him to not bite him afterwards. It just always feels like an unfair bite report waiting to happen. I have seen a dog have a very loose bowel movement and while the person in the yard saw it and took their time to clean it up, another dog ate it. What if the dog with the loose stool had Giardia or something else that was highly contagious? I know sometimes this is probably unavoidable but the gentleman saw the dog squat, and then slowly walked towards the dog, and when the other dog ate it, the gentleman was standing over the scene of the crime. He could have picked it up in time. I have a video of one of the previous workers screaming at a dog for standing on his hind legs while looking over the fence at the other dogs, and then grabbing it by the collar and violently ripping it off of the fence and down to the ground where she lost control of him and almost fell herself due to the force with which she ripped him down. What if that dog had bitten her? It would have been treated as if it was the dog's fault and not the clear abuse of the animals that goes on there. The turnover rate is SO high. I don't think I've ever seen an employee there more than a few weeks. Everyone I work with agrees that they would also never take their babies there, which is unfortunate because it would be so convenient. I think their staff to dogs ratio is very off, which probably makes the employees very overwhelmed. Again, I urge you to find anywhere else. It's heartbreaking that people trust them with their pets and they are treated terribly while they're there. I would be so upset if a dog bit someone and the owners not be informed that it wasn't their dog's fault, but the treatment they received causing them to fight back.

The waiting room and examination rooms are very clean. Harley has seen Dr. Manning for almost every appointment. He is fantastic. He explains everything clearly, presents all options to you, and truly cares about his patients and their owners. We have always had fantastic interactions. Lastly, Bostic has fantastic hours. I find most vets close at 5pm, but Bostic understands that Pet Parents are busy and most employers won't let you go early for vet appointments. Bostic is open until 8pm on Monday's and Thursdays, which allows more flexibility in getting your pet in. I highly recommend Bostic for your fur babies!

I don't even know where to begin…read more I found Bostic when I wanted to do a breeding of my Chow bitch, and due to an injury to my back, Richmond was too much of a drive for me to handle. So I started doing research and making calls. BVH did everything I needed to have done. *Everything*, from blood work, to AI to delivering the pups, and even giving me a heads up about the health of one puppy being dodgy. As it turned out, we lost him, but his brother is now a happy, healthy nine-month-old. In a piece of bad luck, and bad temper causing my hippopotamus mouth to overload my hummingbird behind, I managed to get us discharged from our former vet. I have never been happier about such an event in my life. I had been considering leaving that office for a number of reasons, the biggest being lack of available appointments, parking issues, and a distinct shift in the attitudes of the staff. I just hadn't had that 'time to pull the trigger on this one' event. I do not do change well. But, having it done for me... What I found at BVH was what I had known at the previous office. Caring people, concise care for my dogs, great follow-up, great parking, just... great. I had a chat with Dr. Szabo, asking her if we could change vets, explaining to her what had gone down. Of course. I was so nervous about it, and I shouldn't have been. I screwed up, and she was willing to give me another chance not to do it again. As I said, these folks are just wonderful, and are helping me get some skin issues under control without obsessing over something or pushing products and whatnot. Whatever they recommend, they do so with an explanation as to the reason for that specific product. We've been seeing them now for a little over a year, and I couldn't be happier.
