It's a beautiful path and sign. However, downtown Clearwater is a surreal wasteland. Many businesses are fake and most of the huge buildings are totally empty. This is the headquarters of Scientology and the religion owns most of the property. You occasionally see well dressed young people walking from place to place taking on a Scientology task of some sort. They never say hello or smile. It's like a bizarre science fiction movie. Perhaps someday, downtown Clearwater will be revitalized but, unfortunately, it has a very long way to go. Life isn't very good in downtown Clearwater.

It's quiet, spooky, surreal and full of huge mostly empty buildings. Even some of the large multistory residential buildings appear to be empty. The Scientologists made downtown Clearwater their home base and bought a significant percentage of the real estate over the years. Some of the businesses on N Fort Harrison street are affiliated with Scientology and are not actual independent local businesses. When I go downtown for a public outdoor yoga class in a parlk or a pop up market or some other very rare reason, Scientology folks are walking busily from place to place but won't typically look at you. It feels like a freaky science fiction movie when you experience it. Life is different in Clearwater.

The park is beautifully maintained with plenty of green space to relax, walk around, or just take in the scenery. There is a really special and respectful atmosphere here with the memorial elements that make it more than just a regular park. It is a great spot to slow down and appreciate the surroundings while still being a nice place to bring family or just enjoy some quiet time. Everything felt clean and well cared for and the layout makes it easy to walk through and explore. It is not overly crowded which makes it even better if you are looking to get away from the busier spots nearby. Definitely a 5 star park and a great place to visit if you are in the Dunedin area.

I wasn't sure how it would go especially with my 4 year-old who can't seem to sit still for more than five minutes, but it turned out great. My grandmother loved it too! We toured the Gulf Coast beaches and ended up stopping at Shell Island to walk the beach looking for shells. We even saw some dolphins. It was the perfect day and Captain Jacq was more than gracious.

A beautiful park that was recently renovated, in the heart of downtown Tampa. They have started…read morehosting many events lately and one of the most recent ones has been the "momma duck" art exhibit and her kid "Timmy". The park itself is very clean and nicely laid out with a cool splash pad for children to play in as well as a nice little park with stuff to climb and slide down and around on. I like that the park had some really clean bathrooms and the stalls didn't have any gaps when I closed the door. Being able to walk around this park and see some beautiful views of the water was something that was very cool because it is right off the water! No matter where I was walking there was something to see and enjoy. There was also a ton of seating around the park so I didn't have to sit on the floor or sit in the way of anyone. I also love that there are both stairs and ramps so that everyone is able to enjoy this park!

Also, during this event they had the bathrooms of the music venue open, which was really nice. I liked being able to walk up the hill between the music venue ans the library to see what it would be like to be sitting on the lawn for a concert and to also see the seating area for concerts. At the top of the hill, near where some construction is now taking place, are the murals. I love murals! They bring joy to the park. Parking isn't great. I parked far away on the street for free. The lot I parked next to is not free during concerts but was also free duringbthis daytime festival. I definitely will attend more events here.
