Service is friendly and professional... the very best restaurant personnel knows what you need and gets it to you... that's the vibe here. Moving on to the food... having worked as a server AND a chef, nothing feels better than to serve food that you can be proud of. In an Italian restaurant, we all know that it's about the sauce, and this is The Stuff. The marinara is bright and intensely flavorful. Sweet tomatoes, and garlic and basil all come through in a silky sauce. We ordered the "Sausage, Pepper, and Onion Stromboli", and as a 63-year old retired chef (half-Italian!), I'm happy to say that this is THE BEST stromboli I have ever had. Fat and cheesy with a crispy crust, served with a side of the delicious marinara... YUM. We shared a Caesar salad to go with the stromboli, and it was crisp and light and delicious. The kids tried items from elsewhere on the menu... "Fried Shrimp" and one of the specials and a sandwich. We all took some home and ate it for lunch the next day. Healthy portions! Food was delicious. We hosted a funeral repast here and Chef Anthony was super welcoming and made a great menu for us that included offerings for our vegetarian and vegan guests. Service team was attentive and kind without being obtrusive. There was ample room to move around in the space and lots of parking. The restaurant is all on one level so our guests with mobility issues didn't have to deal with stairs. Great spot for events and dinner. read more

Pizza is really good, good flavor in the sauce. Thin and crunchy but very small for the price. Italian sandwich was good but gave us white vinegar instead of red wine. Ceasar salad was good. Pricey for off the island, but better than the other all season off island Italian/ pizza places. read more

Our server was excellent. The wait for everything was ridiculous especially since it was only no more than six tables sat. The special was tortellini in vodka sauce. It was horrible for $28. Tortellini in tomato soup is what it should have been advertised as. There is a sign that says be nice or leave at the entrance. Went with a family of 4 about 2 weeks ago and had a nice dinner. We got chicken wing app, chicken balsamic pizza and a plain pizza with half bacon. I truly thought everything was pretty good. We went mid week around 6-630 and the place was almost empty. Hoping this nice place can spruce up the inside a little more modern and bring in the camping crowds. I have never in all my time returned a whole order anywhere. There was no quality control. I never would have let this order leave my kitchen. Then when I returned with our whole order and asked quietly for a manager there was no mention of a remake. All she said was what's the problem I explained the issue and that was all. Never said I will remake your order properly .I would have had no problem waiting for a good meal that I had paid for. Manager was not who I would have in front she is losing you business. Ordered take out from here a few weeks ago and got the manicotti dinner, chicken parm dinner, and a burger. The manicotti was amazing, you could really tell it was homemade. Even the chicken parm was great! A real fried chicken cutlet is hard to come by when ordering italian take out. My only complaint for the food was that the spaghetti had barely any sauce on it. and could tell it had been sitting longer than the chicken because it was all stuck together. Otherwise that dinner would have been perfect. The burger was pretty good as well. The reason I'm giving 3 stars and not more is because we were told it would be a 30 minute wait which I had no problem with, but when I got there I was told it would be 8 more minutes. No problem, I wasn't in a rush. In reality, I ended up waiting an extra half hour so I was definitely irritated, however I just kept my mouth closed. I was not the only person in this situation, and the girl at the front counter kept getting a lot of complaints about how long people were waiting for the take out so I didn't want to add any extra negativity. I wouldn't have minded if they just told me an hour to begin with. It was a busy weekend, however I think sugar coating wait times for people only makes them have more of a negative experience. Every person in front of me was told 5 more minutes when they also ended up waiting just as long as I did. Also, the poor girl at the front counter was doing everything. Running back and forth to the kitchen, bagging up orders, trying to seat people, and answering the phone. That's not fair. There were about two waitresses standing off to the side not doing a thing while this girl was getting ripped by customers. Food was great. Steamed clams casino were wonderful, no sand, great flavor and not over steamed into rubber. I had a NY strip steak that was perfectly cocked, steamed garlic broccoli was not overdone. Eggplant parm, homemade pasta, soup, salads all great. We've driven past this place about 200 times, looks like nothing outside, but the food is wonderful, and Kevin the nice young waiter was exactly what a waiter should be. He deserves a raise. My family had the worst expierence st Bayshore this evening. My son who has celiac disease and need gluten free which they advertise. His order was mishandled from the outset. Our party waited over an hr for regular food . His came out different than he ordered and had 2 meatballs on the pasta. Fortunately we asked about them and they were not gluten free, which could have been a huge problem. Another 15 min and his order came out and the pasta was horribly undercooked, oh and if you want bread its an additional $6.00. The food is normally good but tonight they have lost our business. We heard they were under new management so thought we would try them out again. Totally regret it, placed order for pick up at 6:30 went to pick it up at 7:00 and it wasn't ready until 9:00. We ordered 1 large pizza and a roast beef club with fries(which comes with sandwich) waiting 2 hours for pickup was totally ridiculous, but the roast beef club was horrible, gave us about 10 French fried that were so dry, the lettuce on sandwich was so brown and disgusting the roast beef was so tough you almost choked on it. Stopped going there 7 years ago and I will never go back again. I think the local campgrounds only go there for the convenience. read more

Wow this is a good little gem. We went for dinner on a Friday night and had a great meal. Started with muscles diablo which had a great flavor and just the right amount of heat. For dinner we had fish and chips, steak bruschetta wrap, and a calzone. Everything was cooked just right and had a great flavor. The pasta salad that was served as a side was great!! First, let me say that we've gotten takeout from here; pizza, cheesesteaks etc... and it's always been yummy. We thought we'd give the restaurant a try for dining in. The AC wasn't working properly so it was about 85 degrees in there:(. Their hostess was very sweet and accommodating but the service was mediocre at best and the food was the same. I had chicken parmigiana which was chewy and a bit overdone. My husband and boys had cheesesteaks and burgers that they seemed to enjoy. All in all, it was disappointing. Went to Bayshores a couple of Sundays ago for their prime rib special. I have tried all of the so called popular restaurants in the area and all fell short in comparison. It is a fixed price three course meal for $25. Start off with a wedge salad that had the coldest and crispiest lettuce you will ever get with bacon bits and crumbled blue cheese. Combine the salad with a crispy seeded loaf of Italian bread along with the house dipping sauce. The prime rib was a king cut cooked and seasoned to perfection. It comes with a baked potato with all the fixings and the vegetable of the day. That night it was baby carrots and they were crisp and sweet as could be. Save some room for dessert as they have a caramel chocolate bread pudding that came the closest to my grandmothers recipe of all places I have tried it. This is not your mass produced casino pudding. My dining partner had the eggplant Parmesan with a side of homemade pasta. There were 6 or 7 pieces and enough pasta that the next day's lunch plans were solved. I also took home a piece of tiramisu and it was excellent. Our server was friendly and on point throughout the meal. My family and I usually order pizza from here as we are camping and it always turns out very delicious. Recently, we wanted to experience dining in here at Bayshore and it was not the best experience. The dining room is very nice, but the restaurant's music playlist must change --- it almost made my family fall asleep. The waitresses were nice, but took very long to bring out a TEASPOON of butter to our table. The food also took very long to come out and did not taste that great either. We definitely won't be eating in here anymore, but will still order the pizza. read more

Would definitely not recommend going to this place at all, overpriced for crappy food. I ordered the bacon cheese fries and it was less than half of the container. Ordered a cheesesteak hoagie it was dry as anything I asked for mayo and there was maybe a teaspoon of mayo on it. Now note that we ordered a whole cheesesteak hoagie that was 20 inches, half of the roll didn't have meat on it. We stopped at Bayshore Restaurant to order take-out pizza. The restaurant was clean and well kept. The server was friendly, polite and helpful. We ordered the Veggi Pizza - white with garlic and oil. The other veggi pizza option was red with sauce but we have found that white pizza at the shore is usually very good. The server volunteered that our pizza would be ready in about 20 minutes. It was actually ready in just under 15 minutes, a good sign. The pizza included six different fresh vegetables and was on a very tasty crust. For the price, we would have liked to have seen a lot more of the vegetables, had them more evenly dispersed, and had them spread closer to the edge. The primary reason that we ordered the white Veggi Pizza was that we were hoping for a strong garlic taste. While there was plenty of oil, we did not find that there was nearly enough garlic taste to satisfy us. The restaurant has a large menu of Italian specialties and we may consider a return if we are in the area and are looking for Italian food but probably will not return for another pizza. read more
