He stayed in touch with me and responded immediately to any texts. I was emailed a quote with a drone photograph. The job was completed on time and at the price that I was quoted. I could not have asked for a better experience. I have already highly recommended theses guys.

I hired Starr Fence from Clay Township, MI, to remove a wood privacy fence at my mother's home in…read moreEast China, MI. Justin and his assistant arrived on time with all of the equipment needed to do the job. The fence was about 20 years old and had fallen into the yard due to weather and rotten posts. They worked hard and completed the job efficiently. Justin was friendly, professional, and answered all of my questions. We decided to leave a portion of the fence that was still in good condition for privacy which I appreciated. The price was very fair. The only issue involved a neighbor questioning why "her" fence was being removed. Justin did have to briefly step onto her property while working and he explained that the fence was not actually on her property. For that misunderstanding, I apologize. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work and would recommend Starr Fence to anyone looking for a new fence, repairs, or fence removal services.

We needed a fence (Starr Fencing in Clay Twp.) put in and they did an unexceptable job. Wouldn't…read morefix it for free. Said we'd have to pay them the original estimate AND would have to pay them to fix it. Not how a business should be ran at all. First, the fence is horrible to look at. Many dips and waves to the fence (chain link) and the whole gate that everyone sees, needs the most fixed. Everything is not level and all crooked. They did this on a second home of ours so my husband and I couldn't be there and when it was done, we weren't there to express our concerns. They expected us to pay them without actually seeing the final product and I know why...they knew it looked bad. No way is that proper. They just wanted our money that we were happy to give if they fixed it for free. We ended up paying them (not to fix the fence) because we NEVER want to see them again and to be honest, I really don't think they'd fix it properly. They are the most unprofessional contractor that we've ever worked with. They scream and threaten you instead of talking like an adult. Also, I had neighbors all around us that said when putting up the fence, they were yelling at each other very loudly and used profanity. How embarrassed we were. They also have a very badly prepared contract. They didn't follow the guidelines of the contract at all and when we showed it to a lawyer, they said it was a very weird and a weak contract. Be aware of that. Also, they just are not in any way, reputable. So disappointed and feel sorry for them because if they don't know how to be REAL contractors, they will end up with no clients. Make sure you get signed payment receipts and make sure to have them line item it. The only word I have to describe this, is that they are far from properly handling the issues (a lot of yelling at us without reason). They ruined our fence by making decisions on how to put it in without calling us and explaining. That would have made this go so much better but they won't budge. My message is meant to save anyone from going with them and experiencing what we've gone through. Trust me, you'll be unhappy if you go with Starr Fencing in Clay Township.

I placed the call on a Friday, that following week, as promised, I was contacted by John who came out for an estimate. Where other roofing contractors were trying to sell me a new roof that I don't need, John discovered that nothing on my roof had been caulked or sealed, causing the leak. Within a few days, someone came out, caulked everything, and replaced a few nails. Price was very reasonable and above that, I appreciate and value the integrity and honesty with which this company works. They are on top of my list for any future roofing or construction needs I may have.

First had to take time off to accommodate only to have them call and say they are having scheduling problems and they need to move installation date. Then they insist we take the studs down in the finished part of the basement. But post pictures on their website of previous jobs showing they went around wall studs. Then they send what looks like a bunch of convicts that spent more time on breaks than actually working. Maybe thats the reason for the 3 day job...left a wall with the vapor barrier flapping because they forgot to attach to wall. Used tape to piece the floor system together. Did not install a clean-out, which reputable companies include. Said they needed a 5-6 inch space from walls to dig trench. My floor tiles were 16". They busted up 2 tiles in. Now I have damaged floor. Damaged finished part of basement. And best of all, you can never reach anyone in their office. Take advice from a real customer, do not use this company.
