Unless you absolutely HAVE to use a carwash like this because of sensitive spots on your car, don't waste your time or money. Go to one of the newer in-line carwashes and get a wash for $3. You won't be disappointed.
You know that feeling when you put your ONLY quarters in the vending machine and it tells you it's out of your selection and in fact, most of the drinks it offers and then it doesn't even give you your money back, so you go inside the store to complain, but then you get told it's not their problem because it's not their vending machine, so you not only don't get a drink, but you can't get your money back so you can go to another vending machine?
Yeah... That's what this place is like now.
Except that vending machine actually HAS a phone number on it somewhere and they will most likely eventually refund you your money. THIS place..... has a sign that requests that you leave them a note about malfunctioning equipment and does NOT have a phone number to call ANYWHERE...meanwhile, you're forced to go about your day all pissed off because you couldn't actually wash your car after you wasted all your quarters because they're out of soap, or the water pressure is crap, and on top of that, the whole time, they're getting MORE AND MORE suckers in there throughout the day wasting their money!
Yeah. No. This place USED to be pretty good. I don't know what happened. Maybe the manager just stopped giving a shit about customer service and hopes that he can sucker as many people as he can to give him their money with his broken down carwash as possible. In fact, I started coming to this one BECAUSE it was better than the one on Guase. At least if you go to the one on Guase during regular business hours, you can go to the store in the back and complain if something is messed up and they'll refund you.
"LEAVE A NOTE"?!?!?!? REALLY?! What year is this? 1882 when Slidell was first founded? Where are we? In the Wild West or some shit?! I gotta send you a note with the pony express to get someone out there days later to fix whatever is wrong with your carwash?! How are you going to refund my money? Tie up a few silver quarters in a bull scrotum and nail it to the door with my name on it or something?!
Do yourself a favor. Put the 5 quarters it requires to start the cycle in there FIRST, and then cycle through all the selections you want and visibly make sure they're working before you put even a single additional quarter in there.
9 times out of 10, either the pressure washer won't have soap, the foam brush won't work or the tri-color wax comes out like the soap from an empty bottle of cleaner that you're just trying your hardest to pump out but you can only get a few suds at a time, but you absolutely HAVE to clean that stove-top, man, so you just keep at it and keep hoping.
This past weekend, NONE of the foam brushes worked in any of the bays. People wasting their money left and right. Another recent weekend, I spent about 10 minutes waiting for the wax to come out and no matter which bay you choose, prepare to get a shower because those fittings on those high pressure hoses are ALWAYS going bad or getting loose and spraying water all over the place.
Go somewhere else. Please re-read the first sentence in this review. You know why I gave this place 2 stars instead of just 1? Because of what it USED TO BE. Because of the memory of this place being a really good and well kept car wash.
Now, it's usually trashed up and out of SOMETHING. read more
