Sure enough, we got a flat. Damn New Jersey and its lack of road work! It just so happens that ADX was right there as we were contemplating on what to do next. We pulled in. A service member came and took a look and told us that we would need a new tire. He recommended a used tire. The price was super reasonable. His service was fantastic. He took our car into the shop right away. We were on our way 15mins later. End result: great service and great price.

They greeted me before I even opened the door which was nice, I hate that I didn't take one name. I'm sorry guys. Once I got there they immediately took the car to work on it, while I lounged in their waiting area and very comfortable chairs. Anyways they were extremely attentive and customer Oriented. I asked so many question in regards to cars and I'm sure they were over it but they were so enthusiastic about it. They have a fridge that holds complementary waters and also a coffee/tea station if you like. I thought it was going to be super loud in there, being it's on a major highway in a large city plus it's a mechanic shop with heavy machinery that normally makes a lot of noise I was mistaken. I could hear the guys behind the counter talking about their pets and families, that's how quiet and sound proof that shop is. The bathroom is the one that takes the cake, anywhere I go if the bathroom looks like trash I bet you the service and everything else is too. Their bathroom is pristine, very clean bathroom especially for a male dominated shop I was shocked but at the same time I was so impressed. They had a table that holds magazines and newspapers for the readers out, just be prepared to read anything from sports, car and local menu's. Time of service...well depending on what you are getting it will determine how long you will be there. I was getting tints, I wasn't in there too long and I also did notice some customers coming in and leaving before me. Mainly because they were getting something else that took less time. Trust me those guys they work on efficiency, so don't worry you won't be there long if anything you can leave and they will call you when your car is ready. If you asked me if I'll be back? He asked when I needed the car back, and when I asked how long it would take, he told me it would be ready by 1:30 PM. We exchanged information, and I left the car there. Around 1:30 PM, I called to check if the car was ready, and he told me to give him another 20 minutes. I said okay and left my house shortly after to pick it up. When I arrived, he told me everything was good, I paid cash, and went home. The very next day, while driving to work on I-78, I noticed the car did not feel right. Over the next several days, it continued driving poorly. On Wednesday, May 13th, I took my car to Hudson Nissan for another wheel alignment because they use alignment sensors during inspection. I explained the recent work that had been done. During their inspection, they discovered that the front driver-side tie rod had been overheated to the point that the metal became brittle and damaged. At no point did Herbie Auto contact me to explain they were having difficulty performing the alignment or that additional repairs might be needed. After leaving Nissan, I went to my regular mechanic, who confirmed that the tie rods now need to be replaced before another alignment can even be performed. I understand that issues can happen during repairs, but the lack of communication and the damage caused to my vehicle is unacceptable. I trusted them with my car and now have to pay significantly more money to repair the damage and redo the alignment properly.

I thought the pricing was fair, so I agreed to the service. After waiting over 2.5 hours, I was shocked when my final bill came to $269. When I questioned the total, Herbie claimed the balancing charge was actually $30 per wheel, not the $10 per wheel he originally quoted me. When I pointed out the discrepancy, he became argumentative and insisted he never gave me the lower price. Only after I threatened to dispute the charge with my credit card company did he agree to refund the extra amount. This experience was extremely unprofessional and left me feeling like I was being taken advantage of. I strongly recommend that anyone doing business here get all quotes and pricing in writing before agreeing to any work.

When I brought my vehicle in on Thursday I was told it would not be ready until Monday the next day I received a phone call from Javier stating it will be ready the following day and I found this sketchy so I went on to pick up my vehicle and paid for their services thinking everything was fine only to find out that my vehicle later on that night continued to make the same noise that I brought it in for so I waited to see if it would stop and it did not then as night fell I went to turn on my lights and they did not work after I just installed new bulbs a week prior to bringing my vehicle to this nightmare of a place and when my father went to check the lights only to find out my bulbs were taken and replaced with non functional ones without my authority and I still had the package box of the ones my father had installed to prove this and when I called to question Javier he was very rude and hung up the phone on me .
