A wonderful hotel off the I-40/1-44 corridor in Sullivan, MO. During our trip back to the Midwest, we needed a place to stay outside of St Louis. The large indoor pool was well maintained and a welcome respite after such a long drive. The room is not large but it was clean, well appointed, with a refrigerator and coffee pot. Breakfast is provided in the morning with a large selection of offerings. It's clear that the owners take pride in their hotel, and it seems like it's a family affair who really care about bringing high standards to this little corner of Missouri. read more

Yuck! Walk in the room and the first thing I see is a bullet hole in the window. TV did not have remote, requested one and after 45 minutes went down to the desk to get it myself. TV still did not work. Lots of dirt/dust under bed. Coffee maker did not work nor did the desk lamp. Definitely not worth &100+ read more

We stayed here because it was a good stopping point on our trip. It's not a great hotel. The bed was so hard that my hips were sore in the morning. The bathroom was clean but I have bigger closets in my house. There was noise from a machine we could hear off & on all night. The free breakfast was a disappointment- flavorless eggs, mushy hash browns and the sausage was tasteless yet greasy. I ended up eating a bagel. Coffee was ok but tepid. That's all I got. read more

This is a 3 star motel that just does all well and made a 2 day trip quite nice. Reservations was easy. Staff was helpful and friendly. Check in easy. Place was clean and holiday decorations made it very smile worthy. Parking was just enough and the lot was clean and felt safe. Plenty of baggage carts to make it easy to move the tonnage of cargo in for a month (or so it felt like). One of two key cards worked, but only needed the one. The elevator was well maintained and didn't have any quirky motions or odd noises. The room was very clean, well maintained, smelled nice and all worked. Towels were fairly new and the linen was very clean and felt new. The heater worked, but wasn't needed as the adjoining rooms were obviously cranking up the heat. The breakfast was significantly better than most. Plenty of decent tasting meat (sausage patties), fluffy scrambled eggs, multiple cereals, instant juice, breads and a little bit of fruit. Remember, this is not a restaurant, but pretty good for motel. A lot of long communal tables with plenty of seats. Check out was a breeze. read more

I wish i could add pictures to validate my verbiage. I expected more than I found. What I did find eas a clean room but very tired and broken neglected items. The microwave stand top was fractured with a chunk missing, the ceiling was separated for a nearly 3 foot section, the footstool rollers on one side were broken and listing, and the toilet ran all night. read more

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! very comfortable bed and pillows. Appreciated the bigger than cubicle refrigerator. Carpet didn't smell the best but the room was super clean. Left too early to eat breakfast but would definitely stay here again. read more

I cant even believe I'm rating this a one star it should q be lower. First off, when we walked in from the back door it was wide open even though it's supposed to be locked for all hours of the day. Second off, when I first walked into my room it had this weird odor, it smelled moldy. There was stains all over every towel, and when I asked for new ones there was stains on those. There was hairs on the hair dryer that weren't mine and what seemed to be a blood stain on the sheet. Then when i woke up in the morning there was a bed bug on my pillow, I didn't even get my money back instead he said that he would look into it. read more

Stayed here on our way to Nashville. This place was actually recommended by a hotel up the street who didn't have any availability. Other than the fact that there was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor everything else seemed in good order. Breakfast was pretty good. Hot waffles, yogurt, fruit, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, hash browns. Pretty much covered all the basics plus coffee and juice and cereal as well. Stayed here one night. We had a 3rd floor room with a king bed. The room was large, clean, and everything worked. The downside was the hottub. It was filthy. The foam on top was brown tinged. There was a thick brown, greasy scum ring all the way around. The pool was clean, but the water was too cold to even get in, and this was in June. read more

Stopped here because we were too tired to drive further and were pleasantly surprised. Clean place, nothing fancy, but suited our need to recharge. Staff friendly and helpful and free breakfast a bit above average. If you have to stay in Sullivan, this is a good place to do it! read more

New and reasonably priced. Wonderful breakfast. Social hour(s) each night with complimentary snacks, beer and wine. I was told that when COVID has passed they will be grilling burgers as well during social hour. Being a newer hotel everything was nice and clean. Next to the breakfast area is a room with a few tables and a couch that we used to watch the NBA playoff with a few beers. The pool of kind of a let down. It is indoors in an extremely hot room, stifling hot. The pool itself is very small. It was just to hot in there to sit and enjoy pool time with our youngsters. The property is in a perfect upscale area just a few blocks from my son's place. I had a group of 6 and needed a place close by. after reading reviews about how this hotel could have been better i should have listened. after a LONG day of driving i picked this hotel to get the use of the hot tub and pool? Wendt to the exercise room no a/c but one treadmill worked okay. went to the pool hot tub area hot tub yellow cautioned taped off it obviously has not worked in a LONG time pool although it had a glass cover over it was too cold. the hotel was reasonably clean although elevator floor dirty and the cold style breakfast the next morning was lack luster at best. Nothing but cold stuff no waffle maker sausage , eggs, and the kitchen area was dirty with NO one in attendance the bed was okay though will i stay there again NO i will drive another hour or so and find a better hotel read more

I stayed at the Baymont in Sullivan over Christmas and had to share my experience. I was given a room on the third floor initially and was quite surprised with how nice my room was- clean and quite large. The second night I needed to keep my puppy with me because there were too many dogs staying at my family's house. When I arrived, I was told that I needed to be moved to a "dog" room and it went downhill from there. When I got into my new room, I noticed that the pillows were just thrown on the bed which was odd but I didn't really think much of it. Then I decided to take a shower- and that's when the fun really began. The shower had small black hair all over the sides and the bottom of the tub. When I looked over to the toilet I saw large pee stains sitting on the base. I was extremely disgusted and it was obvious that the maids did not even touch the restroom. They merely threw some towels and soap out and called it a day. The lady at the front desk was extremely sweet and apologetic- I wish I remembered her name, and she moved me to another room. I moved all of my bags and puppy dog, and when I went into the restroom... the SAME issue! Pee all over the toilet and hair in the tub! I was so tired and exhausted from dealing with a puppy and moving all of my belongings that I was almost ready to just leave and find another hotel for the night. I went and complained again to the front desk, and was moved to yet another room. The room was better, but after having seen TWO rooms that were filthy, I did not sleep well that night- worried that I was sleeping in someone's filth. This hotel needs to get rid of their cleaning staff ASAP. I spent $280 for three nights. For the money I spent, I expected at least a clean room. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone I know and suggest anyone who stays here to bring a bag of LYSOL! read more

I was hesitant to book this hotel at first because there were a few negative reviews on another site. Don't think twice. This hotel is great. We had two queen beds and a couch. Our room was a great size for the 5 of us. The hotel staff is friendly and quick to help out when you have a problem. The pool and hot tub are well kept and fun. Their breakfast is way more than Continental, and it was really good. They have lines of awards of excellence in the​ lobby... and they are totally deserved. For the price, you'd be hard pressed to find better. It is conveniently located and was a great stop after a day of Meramec Caves and Zip lining​... We stayed at the Baymont in on October 8, 2017 and were horrified at the filthy condition of our room. There were many hairs on the bathroom floor; the toilet hadn't been cleaned. This discovery was made just prior to leaving for a wedding. When we returned from the wedding and turned down the bed there were pubic hairs between the sheets. It was obvious the bed had not been changed after the previous guest. Needless to say, I won't return to this hotel. read more

I like this place overall, it has great service and management. However there wasn't much of a selection for breakfast and when swimming in the pool there was an overload of chlorine. Besides that the cleaning service and the management staff were very nice! I liked my room, third floor. And even with the short amount of breakfast there were good options! I recommend this place! Edit: my third night in and the cleaning crew has failed to come by my room. Garbage is piling up and they claim to have cleaned it. Not sure if this is as great as I thought it was! 2nd time staying here, and I am still satisfied. The customer service is 5 star! Everyone is so friendly (Theresa is awesome! As well as the other girl who was working with her at the front desk) and helpful. Clean rooms, decent price and breakfast in the morning. Everything you can expect and more from a hotel for a few nights. They also have a pool, which is nice if you have time for that. Handicapped friendly which is awesome because my Mom is in a wheelchair. Not totally modern, but if you ain't picky you will be very happy!!! read more

we had a coupon from one of those hotel coupon books you get from the visitor/rest areas. We saved $20 from normal cost. they had a nice pool and hot tub. Morning breakfast they handled great even though there was a softball team staying there and were getting ready for a tournament and they were prepared and kept it all moving along smoothly. The night shift desk person was great, she recommended a little mexican restaurant that was awesome for dinner. read more

The rooms were very clean and the pool was very large. I didn't like the breakfast so much, not a wide variety of choices. The bathrooms were very small. When I put my room key in my phone case one day, it stopped working. When I went to get the key reactivated, the lady working at the front desk wasn't the friendliest person you'd meet. read more

I stopped after a long day of driving. I am disabled and in a wheelchair. I checked in, then asked if it was a handicap accessible room. She said no, they only have one bed in the handicap room. I needed 2. I needed my inhaler within an hour. My daughter checked the room and found mold on the vent slats on the air conditioner. So, I went to the desk, requested to get my money back, I explained why. The clerk said it could take up to 48 hours. I didn't have another 120.00 for another hotel plus gas for 350 miles. So she switched us rooms. I fell asleep and woke up around 3am. I needed to use the restroom but quickly found out my wheelchair did not fit in the bathroom door. I went to the front desk after searching for a restroom. I spoke with the man who was working, I wanted to know how to get my money back since I didn't find this out until 3am. He gave me an 800 number to call. I have stayed in a few hotels since becoming an amputee and have never run into this issue. Please if you're disabled, don't stay here. I should of been told about the handicap room before I paid and notified that they could not accommodate me because their restroom in the room would not fit my chair. I'm waiting to find out what Wyndham is going to do. 119.00 for a room and I had to track down a bathroom that I could use. I'm shocked Wyndham even has their name on this motel. read more

Score!!! The front desk staff was very pleasant and gave us a discount that we were unaware that we qualified for. The rooms were updated, spacious and CLEAN...which goes a long way in my book. This used to be a good place to stay overnight on our cross country trips from east to west coast. However, they have raised rates over 30% in the past three years, have done no updates...still very 80ish with dark dreary colors, carpet, etc. The last time we stayed there in May, the front desk woman was quite rude, surly and certainly did nothing to make us feel welcome.
