Everyone was very nice and friendly, every time the nurse asked a question she would say "thank you we appreciate you" little do they know those words will make anyone's day it sure made mine.

Even the lab techs are helpful as well as funny. The cafeteria as a few nice selections of food but could use more seasoning. As long as you are a patient going to your appointment and going home, you will be ok. Then there is the emergency room. In the emergency, it is as if there isn't enough techs because the lobby is always full. A lot of the nurses do not have bedside manners. A few of them do. I have had bruises, loss blood and even been assaulted nasally after they were told I did not want the care that they were trying to administer. They do not listen to the wishes of the patient or the family because they think they know everything. The people in charge will let the workers talk to the patients and families any kind of way, but they have a violence policy where the patients or family members cannot retaliate or use profanity. But when it comes to the speak up policy that is supposed to be enforced, the patients are rarely heard. I'm a heart transplant patient so I'm usually on the fourth floor. Now there are a few good nurses that actually do their jobs, have bedside manners, make the situations personable, and even make friends. Some even become like family. Then there are those who come to work with a chip on their shoulders and try to take it out on the patients. Now when it comes to Patient Relations, Douglas Stephens is probably the only one that actually cares and wants to help the patients. He actually takes the time to listen and come up with solutions. All in all Scott and White is a business. There are always some good people and some bad people. They need to read the signs provided for them as well as the patients. Treat people how you want to be treated. You have to give respect to get it. That's all I'm saying. The place itself is a wonderful place. You will find the right doctor for you.

I have to preface this by saying the medical care I receive at this clinic from physicians and…read morestaff is great. However, since changing to Little River Health Care, the billing department has gone from bad to horrible. If you have an overpayment, they don't send a statement telling you (you have to find out accidentally like they don't want you to know about it) and they refuse to refund it. I've been trying for 9 months to have my overpayment refunded and they keep finding excuses to not return it. Then I am told it will take a minimum of 12 weeks to process the refund after they agree to it. Also, it is now taking months for insurance payments to be credited to your account (I'm still waiting on a December payment to be credited and it's May). Unfortunately, because of the billing frustration, I can't return to this clinic. There are too many other options for medical care to have to deal with this billing department. More... I had a well-woman visit (my last at this clinic) where lab work was done. After a month, I called to find out why I had not received the results (in the past, a copy has come in the mail). I was told they could tell me over the phone if I was in normal ranges but if I wanted a copy, I would have to fill out paperwork and pay $25 to receive my results. So it's my blood, I paid to have it tested and if I want to see the results, have to pay an additional $26. I said it is a ridiculous policy and was told "That's how Little River Healthcare is structured." Another reason to go elsewhere.

She even bashed glp-1's. She eventually agreed that if I didn't feel better by day 7 then she would write me a prescription. I called two days later at 1pm on day 7, Saturday, and was told she was busy and would call me back. Never got a call so I called at 5:10 and nobody would answer. I called just now at 8am Sunday and was told that a note was put in my chart that she spoke to me and told me to take OTC drugs until Monday. I never spoke to her by phone, so that's a lie, and why would I wait till Monday when she said day 7? That would be day 8. I explained this to the girl on the phone and she said, "Well that's what it says on your chart." I asked to speak with the nurse practitioner that was there now and she said she was busy with patients and wouldn't prescribe me anything without seeing me. I said "I'm a patient." And she said "sir, you need to either come in and be seen again, or wait until Monday." So I spent $150 for nothing, and now they want another $150 to get what I should have been prescribed already. I've been coming to this clinic for years, even back when it was doctor's express, but this experience has been awful and I'll never use this urgent care again. I'm a self pay person because I don't have insurance, and so I only come to the urgent care if I'm really sick. I always try and stick it out to save money, so when I do come it's because I genuinely feel awful and need help, and these people have treated me like a drug addict looking for an antibiotic fix. I feel like they got my money already so now I'm just a nobody. I'll never come back here.

The visit was available online through online scheduling. He arrived early as directed online in the online scheduling portal. All paperwork was completed prior to him walking in. At walk-in he was told they would not see him because they had two other visits and wouldn't be taking any more patient. He had an appointment made through their portal. If they were not taking any more patients the appropriate thing to do is to close out your visits. Poor patient experience. They didn't even check him to make sure he was ok before turning him away. He's a student at UMHB. We are not there with him and would expect hours listed on the website and appointments made to be honored.
