Chicken parm and baked ziti had a great red sauce and the lemon chicken was also tender and tasted great. The dinner rolls practically melted in my mouth! My group had about 150 people in attendance and everyone fit in the room well and we weren't stacked on top of each other! For the first time ever I golfed at Bensalem and found the numerous trees to be annoying there. Makefield has zero trees. Lots of sand traps however. Many of the sand traps have small amounts of sand...makes it easier to get the ball out. In fact I use an iron or even rescue club to get out of the bunkers. A few of the ponds have gotten my balls...it happens. Staff is always friendly and accomodating. After golf we enjoy the club house with indoor and outdoor deck seating. However, they raised their prices of alcohol and food...rediculous! $15 for small vodka martini. Totally outrageous for what is served. Bummer. Reservations are a must as it is a popular local course. I had my best game ever today!

We enjoyed the trips back to the buffet lines to have seconds. There was just lots of food. I ate more than I have in a long time. The restaurant in the pro shop has good food. Golf course has construction areas so it's not perfect. People there treat you very nice.

Caven explained everything to us and was super helpful, and the bartender was wonderful. He helped me figure out exactly what to order based on what I was looking for and nailed it. The entire place is immaculate, super clean, really nice, and such a fun atmosphere. Perfect place to hit some balls, eat some seriously good food, have some drinks, and hang out with friends. Perfect for families, young children, and beginners…read more Wife and I were looking for a place that allowed our 2.5 year old to ride along with us. This place was not only perfect, it's almost made for families. First, the staff that I met there were maybe the NICEST golf course attendees that I've ever met. Went out of his way to explain every little detail of the course. Made us feel comfortable with bringing our child - it didn't feel like an inconvenience for them, more like they WELCOMED it. This meant so much to us. Second, it's a perfect place for families and beginners. No tee times needed, 12 holes (shorter round) with 10 of them being par 3s. Most people walked. We didn't for obvious reasons and was thankful that they had carts. Definitely something we'll come back to as the children get older!

We also had a sweetheart table with our personal bartender, bride AND groom suite for both of us to get ready, and an accomodating staff. The only hiccup was that they forgot our cake topper but after contacting the baker (which is an outside bakery Bucks Club uses) they IMMEDIATELY sent a person to bring the cake topper well in time before we cut the cake. I would STRONGLY recommend using this site for any special occasions and be sure to ask for Joseph.

Before I get to the review, the pro shop and start were very gracious and professional. The only bright spot in this review. I am not one to provide reviews, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but yesterday (Labor Day) was so bad, that we need to convey the message. To pay $178.00 for 2 people and get the conditions that The Bucks Club is currently in, is bad. 90% of the bunkers were mud, and unplayable. I get it, we have had plenty of rain the last 2 weeks, but the last time it rained was last Wednesday night (5 days ago), and yet the bunkers were not groomed. The tee boxes for the most part had very little grass, with the exception of the first hole. We got paired up with two young guys who thought that they were on a driving range, hitting multiple balls, but more importantly had no golf etiquette. They would hit their drives and speed off before we hit. We mentioned it to them on the second hole but that didn't matter. Throughout the course of the round, the ranger would just sit and watch, never saying anything to the young guys. I don't think it is our place to police this behavior, but it is the job of the ranger to engage them. With all of the above, we waited to hit every shot on every hole for 18 holes. Not sure what the holdup was, but it was extremely slow ( a 5-hour round). We won't be coming back to The Bucks Club any time soon!
