I wish more than anything that I didn't have to write this review, because that would mean I was happy with the only photos I'll ever have from my wedding. Sadly, I'm not. Leading up to the wedding, communication with Crissy was great. She was responsive, confident, and seemed to understand exactly what I wanted. I truly thought I was in good hands. The day started off fine, but that didn't last long. While taking bridesmaid photos, Crissy repeatedly referred to the group as "girls," even though one of my bridesmaids is a man. Each time she caught herself, she made a dramatic show of "correcting" it, turning what could've been a nonissue into an awkward moment several times. That tone set the stage for the rest of the day: unnecessary comments, poor professionalism, and a general lack of awareness. Family photos were a mess. Despite having a full list of shots, Crissy made no effort to organize them, leaving me, the bride, to track down and call out my own family members. Later, either she or her assistant (neither would own up to it) decided it was appropriate to tell one of my bridesmaids that she "made a funny face" during the ceremony. Completely uncalled for. During cocktail hour, my maid of honor had to come remind me to take more photos because Crissy apparently couldn't approach me herself and told my maid of honor something along the lines of not wanting to talk to me, maybe because organizing family photos left me in a bad mood. And when she decided she was done for the night? She just left. No goodbye, no check-in, nothing. Apparently she could not find me. Then came the "sneak peeks," which were anything but the exiting reminder of our big day that they should have been. My flowers, jewelry (yup that's supposed to be a pearl necklace believe it or not), and tattoos were warped beyond recognition from excessive blurring, and my face had been edited to the point that I didn't even look like myself. The details I spent months planning, gone. When I brought this up, Crissy immediately got defensive instead of acknowledging the obvious issues. That reaction pretty much sums up every interaction I've had with her since: defensive, dismissive, and never accountable. When I calmly told her I wanted to find a solution that worked for both of us, she accused me of threatening her. Let that sink in, a paying client expressing dissatisfaction was somehow a "threat." The immaturity and unprofessionalism she's shown in every post-wedding conversation have been astonishing. And if all that's not enough to make you reconsider, here's more: - Most photos were unevenly framed or crooked. - Basic editing errors everywhere, overexposure, blotchy grass left unedited, poor color grading. - Important moments were completely missed (thankfully our videographer was on the ball the whole night). The "photo booth" included in our package wasn't set up until 15 minutes before she left, resulting in zero usable photos of guests and fewer than 30 photos from the last hour of the night. So in conclusion, I absolutely wish I'd spent the extra $1,000 on a professional who knew what they were doing. Between the poor quality, the lack of professionalism, and the astonishingly childish behavior, hiring Crissy was my biggest wedding-day regrets. I'll cherish the memories, just not the photos. read more

She had fantastic communication throughout the whole process. She delivered early for us on all of her deadlines which was a huge plus for an impatient person like myself! On wedding day, I really felt like Crissy and her second shooter were my security team. They protected me from nosey guests and country club members and made sure to get every shot I asked for. Deeply disappointed - think twice before you hire Crissy to capture your wedding day. Sadly, Crissy produced very low quality wedding pictures and we are devastated. She will not admit that she failed to capture special moments and that the pictures she did take were of poor quality. We tried to work with her but her denial of her inability to edit the photos was even more disappointing. We eventually asked to be reimbursed 50% and she told us to contact her lawyer. She was highly unmotivated the day of the wedding and we had to constantly tell her what to do. She did not come prepared with the right equipment for the weather and then blamed us for wanting pictures outside in the light rain and for ruining her camera. A professional photographer should be prepared especially since rain was in the forecast. She hired a second photographer with no experience. At times, she was no where to be found. She didn't get me walking into the church from outside. So many disappointments from Bayless Photography on the most important day of our lives as a couple. Pictures are shaky and blurry, color/lighting is off and she had excuses instead of solutions for everything. I don't want another couple to have this experience. Please know that we provided her with many opportunities to make this right but she was not interested. Unfortunately she has been paid in full as required by contract before the event. We used Crissy and her partner for our backyard wedding and it was fantastic! Due to the pandemic we had to reschedule 3x and Crissy was nothing but supportive and responsive throughout the entire process. We will be using her again next year for the "big wedding" and we can't wait to work together one more time. The photos came out beautiful. We hired Crissy to take our wedding photos without much thought. Her prices are really fantastic, and that was our main concern. We were happily surprised to see that value doesn't mean we gave up quality! We did the engagement session included in our wedding package, and those photos turned out pretty good. We had a few that we really loved. Well, the photos from our wedding really knocked it out of the park! Crissy and Jay were on time, professional, and kept smiling even when the entire wedding party was struggling through the 2 hour-long formal photo session. We got some great candids too, and they took us around to all of the tables at our reception to get photos of us with all our guests. This was a great idea. Crissy also showed me how to properly cut the cake! We are just in love with our photos - I can't stop looking at them! They are very precious reminders of a perfect day that went by way too fast. I was really impressed with Crissy of Bayless Photography. She is very professional and took the most adorable pictures of my baby boy. She was very good with him and kept him entertained throughout the entire photo shoot. She put him in different poses and had a variety of props. She also took some photos outside and she quickly transitioned us all outside. After the photo session, she emailed us a link to the pictures. It was very easy to order the pictures we wanted online. Crissy was a fantastic photographer! We got married on October 1st, right in the heart of wedding season, but Crissy never made us feel rushed or like we didn't have her full attention. She was also incredibly sweet and fun to work with on our wedding day. She gave us a sheet to fill out several weeks before the wedding, and she used that on the day of to guide the formal pictures that we wanted, which made it so easy to get them done! She and her partner also got wonderful candid shots, which were so much fun to see! I had a few shots of some family heirlooms that I wanted taken, and those turned out beautifully as well. What impressed me the most was that she had not photographed at our venue before, and she actually took a trip to the venue on her own time and met with the in-house coordinator and took a tour, so she a sense of the layout and what would and wouldn't work for the pictures.
