They have the little open top kayaks you just sit on and paddle around, light and super easy. Plus, when you fall in (which one of us did) it's easy to get right back in the boat! We started out looking for Manatees around the Marina and then went exploring through tiny waterways through the mangrove forest. It was awesome! We'd be paddling along in these open areas and then duck through tiny gaps in the mangroves and pop out into our own private lakes and ponds, all connected by the water through little gaps in the forest. And there was no one else around, a great nature experience right out of the Everglades City Marina, and super easy too. Our guide, Wendell, was hilarious, a constant source of knowledge and jokes, he was super knowledgeable but not stuffy at all. I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't just want to sit on the beach all day, it was easy, fun, and really different from the other activities available.
