If I could give this party venue a zero - I would.
If their…read moreprices seem reasonable it's because they make promises when they are courting your commitment to host your event with them, and once you've paid... very little is delivered - and get ready for no responsiveness the day of your event.
We worked with Rosario - the manager ... there were numerous red flags along the way with no timely responses to our questions from the designer - Mariel.
But, we proceeded, hoping the event would be a success. The first issue was that they wanted to force us to buy their appetizers - (extra from the food price) - but we wanted to do our own and the manager finally had to agree because we were given misinformation by our designer and the forced apps are not in their contract. (Yes - read it carefully... they will try to confuse you and force you to get items through them even tho' it's not contractually-specified).
It was my daughter's first baby shower - so we were very excited and yes, wanted answers to our event prep questions... these people were extremely UNPROFESSIONAL, gave us mixed info and ultimately it was clear that they possess no business ethics
- they are outright liars and will shortchange you on the day of your event, so you can't do anything until it's over!!!! Unfortunately, u realize this after the event is taking place and your hands are tied.
The day of the event ( it was about 93 degrees) we showed up an hour before (like we were advised we could) and had to wait to get let into the venue to do our special touches. My mom is elderly, and despite reaching out to the manager, that she could not sit in the heat (as we waited to enter) - the manager - Rosario, never acknowledged my calls or texts - we had to wait close to 30 minutes - all of this after we were told from day one that we could arrive for our special set-up - an hour before start time. Not true on the day of. Be ready for that!!!! We were told to take our special wine the Wednesday before the Saturday event... all this under the pretext of refrigerating the wine and Prosecco - but on the day of the event NOTHING was chilled... all the wine cases were in a storage room - they have no refrigeration, yet we were asked to drop off wines to chill them???? Why?
We paid for a bartender - and there were three waitresses / No one among them was a bartender. I doubt they even knew how to mix drinks???
The seating was awful - 9 people squashed in a square table ( we should have payed closer attention to the dimensions of the table - but we trusted them!!!!)
The guests never got water, nor a Caesar salad, not bread and butter which was payed for and on the agreed upon menu... the glassware on the table was NEVER used. Instead they served warm water in plastic cups to not dirty the glassware. I was shocked - but sadly, I shouldn't have been!!! I was really upset that they thought we were that stupid!!!!
The worst part was that they served the food on plastic plates - when we were told everything was going to be white porcelain. I guess they confused porcelain for plastic - do we need a lesson in plastic vs porcelain and place settings?
Ah, the moment of truth - plastic is disposable, no need to pay man-hours to clean porcelain dishes... no need for running water, detergent... I get it ... they think they're slick and I just rolled off the turnip truck. Well sorry to disappoint...
We were told we'd have real silverware with cloth napkins and instead had cheap paper napkins with disposable plastic utensils... the REALLY cheap kind... I was fuming some more... what else would they do to cut costs????
So - avoid Iparty Revolution at ALL costs.
All empty promises, no professionalism, no ethics, and the manager is MIA the day of the event - and will not help with any issues.
Never again, you live and you learn and they reminded me that this IS the Banana Republic where anybody can have a business and steal your money. No ethics, no integrity and unfortunately, I probably won't be the last to get hit with their unscrupulous shenanigans!!!
Rosario is the owner - and a professional swindler in my book; how she handled my daughter's event had all the makings of " Catch me if you Can"... see the movie!
We had a great time despite their poor business ethics and made the best out of the venue and service provided ... don't chance any events with these unprofessional people.
They have several locations - avoid, avoid, avoid.
I hope the owner / manager, Rosario realizes that people here work hard for their money.... Swindlers shouldn't run businesses... but they obviously do & are thriving in this Doral party venue.
I won't expend more energy on this dreadful excuse of a business, but I DO hope it serves to keep hard-working people who still believe that people Do What's Right - remember that some businesses are ethical!!!
IParty Revolution (or whatever they decide to call themselves next) is not a Do-Righter!!!
