This is definitely one of the best kids park in Westchase. My kids love coming here and it's always busy. The best part about this park is it's covered so even through the hot days the kids can enjoy it without being burned by the sun. There are usually a lot of birthday parties on the weekend so parking can be a headache sometimes. But overall a very nice park .

This is a nice hidden park. I always pass it on my way to school but had no idea how to get there until recently. There's always parking even on weekends and plenty of shaded areas. There is even a separate area with workout equipment across from the children's playground.

Enclosed park, lots of shade, seating, picnic shelters, clean bathrooms and plenty of playground to satisfy the energy of any kid. This park is located in Westchase community, It's one of many in the area. But probably one of the best. On my most recent visit. I saw a massive inflatable obstacle course for kids of all ages. What a great space to allow for an amazing birthday party idea. I love that the floor is soft so when my clumsy little one falls, She doesn't hurt herself. I also appreciate all the shaded playground area. Summers are rough but nothing hurts more than a slide sitting uncovered. Not to mention my desire to leave very shortly after arriving when there isn't shade to shelter in.

This is my son's favorite park, therefore, my favorite park for kids in the Westchase area. It is a safe park, you will always find really nice parents spending time with their kids. Most importantly, this place is always clean and well maintained. I find amazing the fact that the little kids park is under a canopy because it can get really hot sometimes. This park has bathrooms, a water fountain for you to drink, picnic tables for you to eat and many garbage cans for you to keep it clean. The best part of this park is that is next to a huge grass field where your kid can run, play soccer or host a bday party with a bouncy house. If you are searching for a park to take your little one so they can burn some of that energy, look no more, just come here and you will be very pleased!

Great park! So glad I found this gem on Yelp! It's enclosed so you don't have to worry about your kiddos running off or getting in the street with cars. The ground is a rubber material which is really helpful for when they fall they don't get hurt. I love the two different playground areas they had for big kids and the smaller ones. My boys are ages 2 and 1, they had a blast! Lots of benches and seating for parents to watch. I'm not from this area but if I were I'd definitely become a regular! Only thing I recommend is maybe putting a sign that's clear from the street to know where the park is. The entrance was a bit confusing but my gps took me to to the right place! Woo!

Luckily, Westchase shares my love of coverings because every park I've been to since living here has them.

The nature center has a bathroom and a bit of information, but all the displays were empty, including the outdoor one that allegedly used to have a tortoise. There are canoes to rent if you're into that. Overall, it was a nice, uncrowded park to spend some time outdoors.

The center is currently closed due to Covid but the bathrooms are open. From what I could tell, on our mad dash to the bathroom and distance viewing, the displays are informative and well done. I'd love to return when it is safe to and take a look. The park has three trails that are part of the spree. We hiked the Bobcat Trail since it includes the boardwalk. The trail travels for about a half mile through trees and over dusty shells. Then it connects to the boardwalk. This was by far the best part. We walked along the beautiful, tree lined water, getting up close and personal with a bunch of small black crabs. We scanned the water for manatees but were not lucky to find any. The trail ends back at the nature center. We climbed the back steps to the top level and caught a great view of the river and the distant city. After the hike we hit up the playground for a few minutes. This is always my kids' favorite part. We also stopped off at the butterfly garden which was pretty active on this day. The park was in great shape, the bathrooms were clean, there were lots of people around doing various park things. Canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature hunting and playing on the playground are just some of the things available at your fingertips here. So glad we visited! Can't wait to return to check out the other trails.

There are plenty of shade trees, and there are a few areas to picnic as well as different playground areas if you feel one is too crowded for your little one. We went to the larger playground area with my grandson, and he loved it. There are swingsets for all ages and abilities, which is very nice for all. The pirate ship has a great musical area as most kids like to bang on things that they can control the sounds. There are plenty of open areas to play ball or just run from tree to tree like the squirrels. My only complaint is that the park could be a little better maintained for trash. There was random garbage that people should have thrown away, but they didn't, so it made the park look a little unkempt. Parking is plentiful but not in abundance in any one area, so be prepared to park and walk to the playground on a busy weekend or after school.

We rented a "small" shelter that had 24 person capacity. An all day rental was about $27, a bargain. The park is pretty big with multiple areas where you can park, so make sure you look at a park map to get an idea of where you should park to be closest to where you want to go. The playground looked like a lot of fun, but our shelter was closer to the tennis courts, and the kids ended up just running up and down the hill, which was fine with me! The area looked well-maintained, and the shelters were in better shape than the picnic shelters in most of the South Tampa parks.
