John offered a fair price, and we scheduled the work for the following day. He arrived on time, with the proper tools, and quickly completed the work as requested. I mentioned to him that I had another piece of furniture, which had arrived from the dealer damaged. Unable to provide a replacement due to supply side shortages, the dealer had given us a full refund, without requiring us to ship the damaged unit back. John looked at the unit, and in about 5 minutes, he was able to address the issue. He did not charge us more for this work, so we really ended up in great shape. It should go without saying that should we need more help with furniture assembly in the future, my FIRST call will be to John at A1. He deserves 10 stars!

Since purchasing our home nine years ago, my wife and I have been blessed to be in a position to…read moremake upgrades. Our home is 32 years old; therefore, we are often watching home renovation shows to obtain ideas on how we can modernize things. One repair that we needed to make was to fix two window screens that had holes and needed to be rescreened. Considering that one of the screens was for a large window in our bedroom, we figured this would be a great way to finally be able to open our window and let fresh air into our room. The other items on our list were focused on upgrading lighting in a few areas in our home. After doing some research on handymen in Elk Grove, JL Handyservices with it's perfect reviews populated at the top of my Yelp search results. I immediately called Jason Le (owner) and scheduled an appointment for him to visit my home and provide me with a quote. A few days later Jason promptly arrived to do an inspection, shortly after the inspection he sent me a text with the quote. For the installation of two recessed lighting cans - one in a bathroom and another in a walk-in closet- , a motion sensitive lightbar in the garage, and two window screen replacements came to a total just over $600. The day of the appointment Jason arrived on time and ready to take care of the tasks. After asking a few questions pertaining to the temperature (brightness) of the recessed lighting, he began the installation process. Since my wife and I were working from home, he was very considerate in communicating that he would need to briefly turn off our power. Although this was a slight inconvenience, it was very short lived due to Jason's efficiency. Roughly three hours later, Jason was summoning me to check out the final product(s). Installation was very neat and Jason did a great job of cleaning any trash that was left behind. As my wife and I continue to identify areas of our home that need to be upgraded, I will be reaching out to Jason for future services. If you're looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and communicative handyman that's efficient as your nearby In-N-Out Burger...I highly recommend reaching out to Jason!

This rate also includes the truck, blankets / plastic wrapping to protect floors & furniture. Definitely best deal I could find! They don't have additional charges for gas, travel time, or protective wrapping like many of the other moving services I messaged with. On moving day they arrived slightly earlier than their estimated arrival and were very efficient, moving everything I had ready for them in just over 2 hours. They had no problem rearranging some of my furniture items which I was super grateful for. Also, I have an electric bed frame and they were able to disassemble and reassemble it with no issues. My only complaint is that they were very insistent on me leaving a review which I was planning to do and recognize that they are in need of more reviews!
