Thanks Carrie and Maggie - what first class people you are to of called another person to discuss me rather than tell me when my sons braces / services were over so that I could determine how much I had over-paid for his services. I was told that I needed 2 crowns and a filling. I underwent the initial crown on my tooth about 3 years ago and it did fine for a year, but then it started causing severe pain. I returned to the office for evaluation, but they could not figure out why it was hurting, and so I lived with the pain and not being able to chew on one side of my mouth for over a year. Finally, one day the crown just fell off. It was obviously loose which is why it was hurting for a year. In the interim, I had the second crown and the filling performed about 2 years ago. The second crown color did not match my teeth. I was surprised the the dentist who performed it, either did not catch it at the time, or just decided not to fix it at the time. When I looked in the mirror at the office and clearly noticed the poor matching of the color, the dentist said that to fix it, I could whiten the other teeth so it would match better. However, instead of offering to perform an in-office professional whiting to correct the mistake, she gave me an over the counter product, and then charged me an additional $60 for it. I was dismayed to be paying additional money to correct her mistake. Unfortunately, the filling that was performed at the same time, was sensitive from the day it was performed. I returned that very day to let her know that it did not feel right and was told the sensitivity should resolve with time. I even returned and a different dentist there who also tried to fix it, but the sensitivity never went away. I also had difficulty flossing at that tooth and so I continued to mention it at subsequent cleanings and visits over the course of a year. Dr. Ryan finally performed a revision filling, but it was worse and more sensitive afterwards. No one ever called or checked to see if the symptoms had improved, and by that point, I was not returning to that practice. I then went to another dentistry practice. They revised both the crown that fell off and the filling that was chronically sensitive. I am finally pain free without sensitivy for the first time in almost 2 years. I probably wouldn't have written this except that recently I was sent a bill from Kari Ryan Dentistry. The bill was texted to me of a general nature without specifying what it was for. I texted back that my recent visit for the filling was a revision and Dr. Ryan said that I would not be billed or charged for it. I continued to get the bill and so I called and told them the same. I expected it would be taken care of. However, I continued to get texts and bills without any specific information of what it was for, and now it was overdue. I called again and spoke with the manager and asked what it was for and why I kept getting it. She said that it was a bill from my initial crown that they performed 3 YEARS ago and that they had just forgotten to bill it at the time. This made no sense, but I paid it just to get rid of it. That was the final straw.

And when we left with the incorrect information about this retainer not fitting her correctly my daughter even said all on her own that he basically called both my daughter and I liars ! This was the second time we were there about this retainer and how it wasn't fitting correctly !!! Which now she'll have to get additional orthodontic work on her lower teeth. Believe you me, I am not through with this practice I wish the father and son that we first went to years ago were still there ! They knew what they were doing. My decision to see Dr Warner remains one of the worst of my life. I recently relocated to…read moreCharleston and searched for a dentist. I had one tooth that was bothering me on the top and I really felt like I needed an implant. Warner disagreed telling me that I should never get just one implant. My options were either a complete set of implants for around $30K or a set of dentures for around $7-$8K. I opted for the dentures bc of the expense and I could always get the implants later. I had to return to Dr Warner repeatedly to have the dentures adjusted. He finally told me that I would need a brand new 'hard liner'( whatever that is ) and I'd have to pay more $$$$ !!!! I immediately found a doctor that I have complete confidence in. I hope that mine was an isolated case and that his other patients have better luck.
