April took extra care to make sure I was comfortable and answered all of my questions. I haven't been the best about seeing the dentist, and it had been a while but the team at Bridge dental did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and assessing my situation. I would rather my teeth rot then ever go back to this place. First, they were wiping every piece of equipment with a Clorox wipe then directly putting it in my mouth. Cool. Bleach is great. There was no bedside manner whatsoever. I had a ridiculously sore throat after leaving there from how rough they were. Then, they sent me a bill with nothing on it except how much I owed. Cool? Because even McDonald's gives me an itemized receipt. Then I asked for an itemized bill and was charged $10 for the bill. Tried to call but the office manager hung up on. My last dentist let me just pay on my next visit. Never harassed me. The only reason I left was insurance. This is for a cleaning too, which I would assume was covered by insurance. So yeah. If you want a money hungry dentist office who could careless about you, then stop right in. read more

Avoid at all costs.. this place feels like a total scam. I was told 3 different things by 3 different people, quoted 3 different prices and ultimately left with nothing but a broken piece of equipment I paid 100$ for out of pocket. They just make up prices as they go along, it feels like there's some fraudulent stuff going on. All of the staff is extremely rude, they talk to you with condescension like your child. We have been going there for about five years now and they are able to see adults and children. Our kids first started going there when they were three years old and the dentist and the staff were very patient with their fear of coming to the dentist. They also give the kids a little prize after each visit and I know my kids always look forward to that and a balloon. They have given our family Cleaning's, filled cavities, And a crown. I have had many issues with dental practices over the years and even settled out of court with one not long ago. I took a chance and Dr. Adams is excellent, he took the time to review everything with me, he even assured me, after multiple root canals and crowns, that a tooth I had an issue with. He said it did not need a root canal only a crown. And he guaranteed if I needed a root canal he would replace the crown at no charge. Who does that? The staff has always been polite and caring and I have a lot of issues with my teeth and they get me seen right away if needed. Just having moved to the area I had no idea where to go with my dental issues. I need a teeth cleaning plus I knew I possibly needed a new crown as my current one was slightly cracked according to my last dentist. I wasn't sure I believed how badly I needed this fixed. First of all I had the best experience with the front desk- Nina. She told me everything I needed from my insurance company and each time I sent her an email with my x-rays from my dentist in California she would immediately write me right back. She was on point ever single communication. My first impression was sealed. Then I arrive on the day of my apt. It's a really nice comfortable waiting area (clean!) and a nice area for procedures, cleanings, etc. I was lucky enough to get Brenda on this day. Wow. She was very thorough and also let me know we new customers get fitted for whitening trays on our first visit for FREE! What!? It's like Christmas. Do you know how expensive those things are?! I hope to get Brenda every time. She was also very gentle and just in general cool to talk to. Then it was my time with Dr. Adams. What a great experience. He was VERY thorough and took ample time with me and listened to all my fears from my previous doctors visits. He let me know if I was "his sister" then this is what he would recommend to her... I was/am sold. He is totally knowledgable and I knew he was being straight with me and not trying to up-sell me. Upon leaving I went ahead and made my next 6 month cleaning visit and also went ahead and scheduled that new crown. My former dentist made me feel like I needed to hurry and get this done but here I learned I could wait but not too long- I felt like I trusted this office enough that I wanted it done there and why wait? Also a shout out to the nice lady, I didn't catch her name, when I left. She checked me out and was ready for me with the paperwork I needed and walked me through everything. Are you kidding me? EVERY SINGLE PERSON I CAME INTO CONTACT WITH WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD HAVE HOPED FOR! I will continue to come here and make this my home dentist. I 100% recommend this office if you are new to town. While my dental work was fine, I unfortunately still have to leave a poor review due to the awful customer service by the office manager. Due to a change in my employers dental insurance carrier, there was an issue with my bill. I have insurance and no problem paying the bill but the office manager treated me like a thief over the phone and claimed to have contacted many more times than they had. Mistakes happen and I should have known my insurance changed, but the level of complete disrespect and terrible attitude towards a customer is beyond reprehensible. This was made worse by her inability to take accountability for the way she spoke to me and even more shockingly, continued to tell me how great her customer service actually was. My husband has had bad experiences with dentists in NY and Seattle, so I did my homework trying to find a great dentist here--and we did! We've been going to Bridge Dental for 2 years with no issue! I even had to have a molar tooth pulled because it was coming down on my bottom gums..they never pressured me to have it removed (had been told for the past 10 years eventually I'd have to have it removed)...but when I went in for my cleaning, dentist asked if I was getting headaches (I was) and said it was because of the tooth moving down! So I made an appointment and they pulled it--I felt NOTHING! I didn't even have to have the 'laughing gas'! I recommend this dentist to EVERYONE!!! read more

I NEVER thought I would share that I love my dentist, however I LOVE Dr. Adams and the entire staff at Bridge Dental. After a few bad experiences and being told I needed a root canal, I decided to listen to a friend (Jennifer Gesch) and got a 3rd opinion from Dr. Adams. I decided to stop by and ask a few questions, albeit discouraged from previous experiences. Ms. Penny was soooooooo caring, understanding, and knowledgeable regarding the tooth that was giving me problems. She went above and beyond what was required to help me understand all the possibilies regarding the tooth. I left feeling a sense of comfort and knew I was in the right place for all my dental needs. Not only did I find out I didn't need a root canal - Dr. Adams drilled down the filling and BOOM, no more pain. : ) He's soooooo thorough and explains every step of a procedure. My hygienist was beyond AMAZING!!!!! Ms. Brenda was wonderful...and did I say wonderful. I left with squeaky clean teeth that were actually cleaned and polished. I love my hygienist. I could not thank Jenni enough for this referral. Bridge Dental is now my dentist for life. I love everything about this place, from the office atmosphere, the amazing staff, and the BEST dentist in Charleston. Bridge Dental is 5 stars all the way. I will start by saying that the doctor (sorry forgot his name) is excellent at what he does, and is very kind. Unfortunately he has employed an office manager that has ruined our experience there. Due to an emergency in our family, an appointment needed to be cancelled. This emergency happened over the weekend, and the appointment was for a the upcoming Tuesday. A call was made on Monday morning to cancel the appointment, we were told the appointment was cancelled. Later that week we received a notification in the mail saying that a $120 no show fee was due immediately. After extensive conversations with the office manager regarding the cancelation policy and fees, she is insisting that the $120 fee be charged. The manager did not keep any record of our cancellation phone call, and had the guts to doubt that we ever called at all, even though we have proof of the call in our call history and billing statement. Completely rude. Unfortunately death does not give you a 48 hour notice. Go somewhere where the office is adequately managed. read more

I had just moved to Charleston and needed a dentist. My company recommended dr Adams. I can't give enough stars to this office. I get free whitening. If he's filling a cavity and sees a tiny one somewhere else he fills it for free. Dr Adams has been available after hours for emergencies. The front staff are very nice as are the hygienists. A wonderful dentist and great staff. I have had a LOT of dental work over the years and lived all around the country and this office is one of the best I have ever been to. We had just moved to the area and I was experiencing terrible tooth pain. I asked a friend and she highly recommended Dr. Adams. I called the office and told them I was in pain and they got me in the same day. Unfortunately, I needed a root canal and Dr. Adams office called the specialist and I was in there the same day. Next step was a bridge and with two crowns because the existing teeth already had a bridge. Dr. Adams did an amazing job, no pain and the bridge and crows are working out great. Dr. Adams made me feel very comfortable even with my fear of dentists and the extensive procedure. He is not aggressive or pushy in his treatment and he even offered to come in over a holiday weekend if I had experienced pain with my bridge. I've never had a dentist do that. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. They definitely made the experience less stressful. And Dr. Adams doesn't charge exorbitant prices with unnecessary dental work and offered a discount because we don't have great dental coverage. We have been to the office several times, my husband and I, and they do an excellent teeth cleaning as well. I would give a 10 star review if they would allow it. If you could say that going to the dentist could be a good and happy experience, this would be it. read more

On the road for vacation, when my husband developed bad tooth pain. Called Bridge Dental and told them our problem and said we were headed to Charleston. They asked what time we were getting into town and an hour after our estimated arrival time my husband had an appointment. We arrived a little early and he was actually seen sooner then his appointed time. They could not have been more helpful or pleasant thru the whole experience. But then I was still waiting and expecting a huge bill for an out of town emergency visit, but to our surprise the bill was much more reasonable then we could have hoped. I was 100% pleased and these reviews were on point. The staff were all extremely friendly and accomodating. Despite my nerves, they made me feel very comfortable and put my interests and needs first. My husband and I both visited Dr. Adams for a second opinion on some extensive dental work we had been quoted. They agreed to see us for free, which was amazing in itself. The receptionist, Penny, was incredibly helpful and friendly. She was so informative about all the procedures we needed and especially with the insurance coverage. It's very rare to find a doctor's office so upfront about insurance and detailed costs. Dr. Adams was very honest and only told us what we needed done ($4000 less work/cost than what out previous dentist quoted!). He recommended truly helpful procedures and treatment actions for both of us. With very efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable staff, the entire experience there was beyond great. Bridge dental called me 24 hours before an appointment to confirm it. An appointment that they scheduled at my last appointment 6 months ago. And said I could not go due to a work conflict and have been working a lot lately, and they said that was a $60 cancelation since I didn't cancel at least 48 hours in advance. NO ONE had told me about this little policy. I would really have liked a phone call at least 48 hours in advance or a week in advance. The earliest patients can be scheduled is three to four weeks out per the receptionist and not good for someone in urgent need. After requesting any records from my previous visit be provided, so I could seek another dentist for an earlier appointment, the response was "you wouldn't understand those things anyways." Unfortunately, I had already paid for an additional service I was no longer having completed and the receptionist said the procedure wasn't completed, so why would they have charged me. It sounded as if after looking at their records and seeing I had already been charged, the receptionist was irritated and it was clear the doctor losing me as a customer did not affect her. After requesting a call from the dentist to discuss my last procedure and replying with thanks, the conversation ended with a yep and click. I guess don't call around lunch time if you can wait a month to be seen? read more
