I sold my 2014 Honda Civic through CarMax and had zero issues…read more First, I added my vehicle information online for a quote then submitted an in-person appointment for my car to be evaluated. Once I arrived, staff members walked me through the process and had my car inspected. Afterwards Lamees helped me with the paperwork -- it went smoothy and she was very informative and professional. I'm very satisfied with her work. The entire process took 1 hour. Walked out with a check!

We had the unfortunate…read moreexperience of having to visit this location not once, not twice, but three separate times because of repeated errors and negligence by the staff. On our first visit, we dealt with Juan, who is apparently a manager at this location--which, based on our experience, doesn't seem to mean much here. Juan told us that we only needed one legal document signed and provided no clear instructions on how the paperwork needed to be completed or signed. When we returned for the second time, we learned that Juan was actually supposed to provide us with an entire packet of documents and instructions necessary to complete the sale. Because we had not been given the correct information the first time, we were denied the ability to sell the vehicle yet again. Not only did this waste a significant amount of our time, but the delay also caused our original vehicle appraisal/offer to expire. That led to a third trip to this location, where we then had to spend another two hours having the vehicle reappraised and going through the entire selling process all over again--all because the process was mishandled from the beginning. The lack of communication, attention to detail, and accountability at this location was incredibly frustrating. You would expect significantly more competence from someone in a management position, but unfortunately that was not our experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding this particular CarMax if possible. Based on our experience, I would choose virtually any other CarMax location over this one.

From trading in my previous car to purchasing my new one, Steven made the whole process quick and convenient. He gave me a great value for my trade-in, which I originally purchased from him, and he also helped me get one of the best rates compared with all the other dealers I shopped around with. Steven is honest, straightforward, and very easy to work with. He doesn't pressure you or waste your time. One of the biggest advantages is that he can even deliver the car directly to your home, which saves so much time compared with spending hours sitting at a dealership. After buying three cars from Steven, I can confidently say that his service, pricing, and overall experience are better than any other dealer I've worked with. Highly recommend Steven to anyone looking for a smooth, honest, and hassle-free car-buying experience!

The entire process was also incredibly quick and efficient. From signing the contract to picking up the car, everything took less than 30 minutes. Unlike traditional dealerships where you can spend hours negotiating and dealing with paperwork, Steven made everything smooth, simple, and hassle-free. He also does window tint and PPF at his company, and all of this was completed before I picked up the car. He's honest, professional, and very easy to work with. Next time we buy or lease another car--no matter the brand--I'll definitely go back to Steven. Highly recommended!

Headline: 35+ car purchases later, I've finally found the perfect experience…read more "I am incredibly impressed with Capitol Hyundai's 'No Brainer Hassle-Free' process. In the last six months, I've purchased both a 2026 Tucson Hybrid Limited and a 2026 Ioniq 5 Limited here. Stephen Fitch was an exceptional sales consultant. As a 74-year-old who has purchased over 35 vehicles, I've seen every dealership trick in the book. Stephen was a breath of fresh air--patient, knowledgeable, and zero-pressure. I especially appreciated that there were no 'required' add-ons like paint sealant or fabric protection marked up over the MSRP. I was able to negotiate fairly, utilize dealer incentives, and secure Hyundai rebates that saved me significant money. Danielle Torres made the paperwork a breeze. She presented warranty and service options informatively, but remained professional and pleasant when I declined. A huge plus: she scanned everything and sent it as a PDF rather than handing me a heavy stack of paper--perfect for my electronic filing system. Before I drove off, Stephen took the time to ensure I was comfortable with the high-tech features of my new EVs. The dealership is spotless, well-managed, and the detailing team did a superb job. If you want transparency and a higher standard of service, look no further than Capitol Hyundai and the DGDG group."

Just a couple of weeks after having my 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe serviced here, my car started having serious electrical problems out of nowhere. First, all of the warning chimes stopped working. Not long after that, the car completely died and left me stranded more than once. This is my only vehicle and the one I rely on every day to get to work, so this wasn't just an inconvenience, it completely disrupted my life. What frustrated me even more was trying to get help. For three straight days, I called the dealership over 15 times. I called the main service number and even tried calling several service advisors directly. I couldn't get through to a single service advisor. Every time I spoke with the front desk, I was told my information would be passed along and that someone would call me back. That never happened. After getting nowhere, I finally had to take time out of my own day and drive to the dealership just to talk to someone face-to-face. That's when I met Devin. I do appreciate him taking the time to speak with me and getting my vehicle scheduled. During our conversation, Devin explained that their phone system had been having issues. I understand that technical problems happen, but as a customer, that's hard to accept. If the phone system isn't working, there should be another way to make sure customers are taken care of. A dealership shouldn't have customers calling for days, leaving messages, and never getting a callback, especially when their vehicle has left them stranded. This also isn't the first issue I've had after getting my vehicle serviced here. My service history shows I've had multiple concerns over time, and it's gotten to the point where it's difficult to trust the service department. To make things even more frustrating, I was told that if my vehicle needs to stay for diagnosis, I'd have to pay out of pocket for a rental until Hyundai decides whether the repair is covered under warranty. I understand that's their policy, but when your only car suddenly dies without warning, it's hard not to feel like you're being left to deal with everything on your own. I'm not upset because cars break. Things happen. What I'm disappointed in is the lack of communication and customer service. I shouldn't have to make more than 15 phone calls over three days, never receive a callback, and then physically drive to the dealership just to get someone to help me. I genuinely hope Capitol Hyundai improves the way they communicate with customers because no one should have to go through an experience like this. A service department isn't just there to repair cars, it's there to support customers when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.

It has been sometime since I updated my review of this fantastic company…read more Hengehold is basically a place to rent or buy commercial vehicles and pickups. In my case, I needed a pickup truck to haul pressure treated wood from an old deck to the landfill for disposal. They are excellent customer service, the trucks are in good working order, and the prices are good. This has remained consistent in all the years I have used them

We've rented from Hengehold twice for Burning Man, 2024 (15' box truck) and 2025 (24' box truck)…read more We've had bad experiences with other rental companies in the past (U-Haul, Enterprise, you name it) so we wanted to go with a local company that seemed to invest a lot in a great customer experience. The first time had no issues. The second time, the truck failed on us Friday night [more details are below], and we had to get a last-minute rental from Enterprise, while also locating a parking lot where we could leave the faulty truck. Hengehold was not reachable because they are not open on the weekends. Then, we had to spend time/energy unloading and reloading a new truck, and a friend had to stick around on Monday to eventually get that truck towed. Hengehold refunded us the full amount. Knowing the Burning Man general schedule (which is the same every year), and as a business that must draw in a ton of revenue from the event, I'm surprised that they are not open on that Saturday/Sunday to help with these issues and provide replacements. I'm leaving 2 stars here (instead of 1) because their customer service (when they're open) has been easy to talk to and work with (including the refund part), and because we still had a positive experience the first time. We will still consider renting with them in the future. ================== More details on the second time --- We drove the truck from Palo Alto to San Francisco on Friday, and spent the day loading in our supplies. We drove the truck out that night from SF headed towards Reno, and within 1 mile it started malfunctioning. The dash said there was an SCR malfunction (see picture) & the truck started beeping. We called a technician (not affiliated with Hengehold, since it was out of hours) who spent an hour with us running tests and said there was a clogged DEF catalytic converter. He hypothesized that possibly 1) just over time they wear down or 2) bad DEF in there that caused it to happen faster than normal timeline. He said there would be large overhaul of the system needed and that it was not fixable over night. "It's absolutely not getting to Reno". When we started driving again it wouldn't go more than 2 mph.
