Deeply Disappointed and Felt Misled. They don't even deserve…read moreone star, but that's the lowest I can give. I visited Smith Motor yesterday evening to test-drive a used car. After the drive, I was still undecided, but the salesperson asked me to sit down and talk. In his office, we discussed the vehicle, price, and financing options. When the monthly payment he offered turned out to be far higher than what I had expected, I was ready to leave -- but he insisted on bringing his manager. The manager seemed reasonable and eventually presented a written offer with a monthly payment that I found fair. He asked me to sign and leave a $1,000 deposit, assuring me that everything was settled. We shook hands, and he asked me to return the next day to complete the paperwork with the finance department since the finance manager was not available that evening. When I came back the next day, I expected a smooth process. Instead, the finance manager told me I needed to pay more money than the agreed amount. I pointed to the paper I had signed the night before, but he said that offer was "no longer valid" and that he couldn't do anything about it. I was shocked and angry. When I demanded to retrieve the documents I had signed, they told me to wait -- then the same manager from the previous night appeared and said he could "apply a discount." Even after that, the new offer was still $50 more per month than what we had agreed on. At that point, my trust was completely broken. I took back the documents I had signed and left. For a dealership that sells luxury vehicles, their behavior and attitude were disappointingly unprofessional and greedy. What disappointed me most was that they asked me to sign and put down a deposit, yet they never signed anything themselves -- treating my signature and deposit as if they had no meaning or value. In the end, I chose to buy from another dealership where I received financing at nearly half the rate offered here. The fact that they overturned even what was written on paper left me with no trust in their integrity. Sadly, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone looking for an honest and professional buying experience.

The paint job was completed efficiently, but visible defect lines remained. The owner repeatedly assured me that the hood would return to factory condition and look as it did before the damage. After two attempts, visible defects were still present, and I was then told it would cost around three times what I had already paid to have it done correctly. Unfortunate experience, especially since I was recommended here. Overall, the biggest frustration was the communication and the difference between what I was assured I would receive and the final result.

Before coming, of course I searched Yelp for Blinn's, and saw the abundance of five star reviews. I had a big dent in my 2011 Honda Accord bumper, and a broken taillight. I bought the taillight online and Blinn's installed it. They also fixed the dent in my bumper. All for a VERY reasonable price. I didn't want to go through my insurance for this repair. In addition, they touched up a bunch of scratches I had in the paint. They did this as a courtesy, at no extra charge. Added Bonus: One of my windshield wipers fell off after last snowstorm. I was honestly considering using duct tape to get it back on! Anyway, I left it in my passenger seat, and sure enough, Blinn's installed it for me, without me asking them to, and without charging me for it either. As someone who knows nothing about windshield wiper installation, I really appreciated this kind gesture! Thank you, Blinn's!! I hope I don't need auto-body work again anytime soon, but if I do I absolutely know where I will be bringing my car. I primarily dealt with the owner's son, who is essentially the owner. He was very friendly, and I didn't feel like he was trying to rip me off by any means. I can't say enough good things about this place. Definitely go there if you need auto body repair!

Prior to one of his visits I had work done to one of my cars and he had no clue after a 25 minute inspection of where the work had been completed. When I have brought my car in for a lease turn in Dave Matthews (son of original owner) always does a quick touch-up as BMW will kill you for the slightest paint chip. The story here goes that a long time ago Matthew's Senior owned a body shop and his son, Dave slowly took over the the point that he is the primary point person on all estimates and repairs. Don't be confused, Dave has one employee and his name is also Dave. They are very good with quotes and have done a great job of fighting with insurance companies to get supplements for unseen damage before tearing off a fender, etc. He also has a state of the art paint booth and as mentioned above, he is amazing at matching highly complicated metallic paint colors and applying an even finish.

First place we took it to gave us a quote that was just not happening, even for our sentimental hearts. We decided to try one more place before we gave up. Jean's Auto's quote was $1,500 less than the previous quote, and when it was finally repaired, it came in even less than that. That never happens! Staff is very warm and open. When he gave me the quote, he wanted to be sure I knew that it wasn't logical to get it repaired, because it would cost more than it was really worth. Only moved forward when he'd reassured himself he wasn't cheating me and that I knew I was being a little silly. Throughout the process I felt I was treated with respect, and that they made a serious effort to keep costs down even when it was more work for them. Car came back looking great, and runs wonderfully. These guys love what they do and they take pride in doing it. It meant so much to me to get my car back. I'm very thankful that I found them.

I was hesitant to buy a car here because of the previous reviews and spoke to the owner about them when we made our deal. I can't believe that none of the many hundreds of satisfied buyers haven't come here and spoken up for him. Even I waited more than a month to this. Even though he put the work into the car to assure that not only was it road worthy, but every component worked.
