I would give them -5 star if I could. The staff is rude and the have unscrupulous business practices. They stole a tank of gas from our house. We actually owned the tank and had prepaid for the gas in it. We planned to switch companies because we no longer wanted to pay the "tank rental" fees for a tank we owned and they never once replaced (which is what the fee was supposed to be for). Horrible business practices and no customer service. I have the same complaint of others: these guys hit you with a "buy the tank outright for ludicrous money, or pay the yearly lease price EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, or we take the tank." I told them that we can terminate our relationship when the tank's contents are empty. After all, I own the propane. Seems reasonable, right? That's what we all agreed upon on the phone, at least, so I thought the matter was concluded. Well, today they just hit me with a bill close to a thousand dollars to buy their 12 year old rusty tank. So, today, I filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau and our local Legislator's office. Does this sound like a company you want servicing your residence? I had a 12 year relationship with these guys. The reality is that that means nothing - they turn on you, corner you with backdated terms and bills and then claim that they never agreed to things, and they display just such horrible customer service that's it's a shock they're still in business. Stay far away from these guys. They are bad news and will be out of business soon enough if they continue down the same path. I love going here for gas for my BBQ and fire pit! I use to go to home depo but there tanks never last as long and I was told they don't fill them all the way. So I tried bay gas and from the moment I walked in the office I felt so welcomed. Such professional and pleasant people working there. New service charges to my account and to close the account they are trying to charge a 151 dollar pick up fee. They never disclosed any of the new charges and it is not legal to implement a new charge without disclosing the new charges. This company should be closed down for not compiling with the laws. The customer service people never call back about a refund on unused fuel returned to them. They are just a sorry company to deal with. Petro is a better company to work with. Bay Gas Service are just the best if you need gas delivery for your pool heater. First, they are not overcharging you like most people in the East end of Long Island. Secondly, they deliver quickly when you need them and Thirdly, their driver is very conscious in not wreaking your driveway and landscaping and he never forget to close my deer fence! Very upset to the changes they made and making it harder for my mom to get her gas for cooking my mom dosent have a bank card or checks now you have to pay before they deliver, she used to pay the guys when they go there the day of. Very upset been with Bay for a few years and now we have to change and find a new place, the ladys are rude and dont care. read more

I moved into a rental house and Bay Gas has harassed me since I moved in a year ago for an account from the previous tenants. I called and told them the situation and told them to pick up their tank but they never contacted me to pick it up and still continue to harass us. They even jumped the fence to our backyard and took the regulator which I have on video which is illegal. read more

I would never use them again. I have used Amerigas for years and had great service but changed due to cost. They were very nice on the phone but when I received the delivery at a higher price than promised the basically said to bad. Do not deal with this company. read more

What a nightmare!!! I had Bay Gas install a gas tank and set up automatic delivery. All was going along fine, I had several deliveries and then came home one day to a note saying they could not deliver because I did not have a proper walk way to the back of the house. I called and explained that had the driver waked to the right of the house he would find a gate that opened. They Bay Gas said that they would make a note and have them come back out which they did and he left the same note. I then called Bat Gas again and explained that the gate opens, that they put the gas tank on my property, that they have been delivering gas all along. Then they had Keith call me. What a nightmare he tells me I have to pay $500 for him to come out and deliver gas because it would be considered an Emergency visit. Then I called Fow Jack O,O'loughlin the owner but he was not available and the answering service had no way of reaching him. I would NOT recommend Bay Gas to anyone wanting to stay warm this winter. read more

The staff is rude.... And they do steal from you. I had a tank for over 16 years and then they said I didn't own it. I told her to send the paperwork showing it was a lease and instead they broke into my yard which is locked at all times and took the tank. Worst service ever! Called them for a propane delivery on 11/25/2015 and was assured that it would be here that day. Here it is 11/27/2015 and I'm still waiting. Had to cancel my Thanksgiving dinner. Ironically, the delivery man is the owner. read more
