This is a beautiful course, well maintained and very well organized. All three of us are in our late seventies and play the senior tees. We paid almost $50.00 for a week day round senior fee. Now, as I said the course is very nice, well maintained and well managed and all employees we met were courteous and helpful. Having said all that, I do not expect any of us will ever return. The number one reason we play golf is enjoyment of the game and one another's company. We have always been good golfers with single digit handicap's more often than not. The course layout is very penalizing for senior golfers, expecting carrying distance on a majority of the holes for anyone over age 50 to accomplish with reasonable effort. That scenario eventually causes one to no longer enjoy the round, as it is a very difficult situation that makes you miserable and unhappy. The par three holes are way too long for senior golf and add time to the round as a result. We, like the majority of the world's golfers play golf for fun and exercise, not pain and suffering. This course, while a beautiful property, isn't laid out for enjoyment by anyone playing golf at the senior level. We know we aren't playing for a living, but we are wanting to enjoy ourselves and would prefer the opportunity to score a decent round if we hit a ball well. The distance should be determined by layout of terrain giving thought to senior capabilities that are realistic. As an example, a 190 yard par three uphill over a hazard is not realistic for 99% of senior players. While it was a beautiful course we all separately agreed we would rather play elsewhere at a golf course we feel is a fair test of our skill and age combined. Therefore it's my recommendation no one under the age of 50 bother to try playing Timber Creek golf course in Friendswood, Texas; should they want to feel they had a fair test of their golfing skill.

I recently found out that my membership had been terminated without any notice, phone call, or email. As a long-standing member, I expected at the very least clear communication regarding any changes affecting my membership. When I spoke with management, I was told that because I joined prior to the new pricing structure, I would not be grandfathered in. While I understand businesses adjust pricing, the complete lack of communication and professionalism in handling this change is unacceptable. Members deserve transparency and respect -- especially those who have supported the course for years. This experience reflects very poor management and customer care. Unfortunately, due to how this was handled, I will no longer be returning or recommending this golf course.

Maybe because we haven't been to Augusta National, Oak Mont or Pebble Beach... because we actually thought this was a really nice course (at least the front 9, that we saw). Upon arrival, I liked the look of the club house. Looked regal. We normally walk courses but due to a recent calf injury, we got a cart. Cart fee seemed high at $32. Is that normal? Carts are electric and were nice. Staff and members were really nice. I've been places where members were kind of pompous jerks. The old guys we saw here were nice. The one negative was that we didn't like that the driving range was on the other side of the road. We didn't have a ton of time practice prior to our tee time. Had it been easier to get to, perhaps my son could have hit some. The course itself was pretty nice too. Fairways and greens were well kept. The main negative was that there were TONS, I mean TONS OF RED FIRE ANT HILLS EVERYWHERE. One of the dads in our group stood in one and got bit. Ick. It has been really wet lately but I don't recall seeing any of the last few course we have been to. There were a few challenging holes for the kids. More water hazards that we have seen in other courses. #9 was a doozy. Overall, I thought it was a nice course.

The owners have been working on and improving them and each time I have the pleasure to return. They have completely reworked and done a lovely job. The staff is really the important part of the experience. From the gentleman and ladies who work in the pro shop to the pros themselves I can't imagine a more wonderful staff assembled under a single roof. This is one of the best golfing experiences you can have in and around Houston.

Most places he plays at the charge $10-$15 for a spectator rental cart. This place charged $32.00. I understand you have to make money but in my opinion is taking advantage. I absolutely love living in La Porte. It truly has that small-town feel that's hard to find these…read moredays. It's the kind of place where everyone seems to know each other, and you'll run into familiar faces just about everywhere you go. There's a real sense of community here, you feel it at local events, schools, and even just driving through town. People are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help out, which makes it such a great place to raise a family. At the same time, you're still close enough to bigger cities to have access to everything you need, but without all the chaos. It's the perfect balance. If you're looking for a place where neighbors actually feel like neighbors and not strangers, La Porte is definitely it.

Guess what, they increased their green fees for this crab grass piece of manure they call a golf course. Oh yea, be sure to step over the fire ant beds and good luck finding your ball in the 3" cracks in the fairway because they don't water. Today we went at noon to celebrate my sisters bday. It was a hot day and I had my 2 month old baby…read morewith me so I was going in and out of the building to make sure my baby stayed cool. The staff were so nice and helpful. They told me where the family restrooms were located and even said I could go into one of the party room since it was quiet and a little darker so baby could nap comfortably. Sometimes going out with littles is very hard but Top Golf staff made sure baby and I were comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you!

Top Golf has a indoor bar and tables as well. The Service always is amazing and they are very cheerful and helpful too! I have tried the cheese curds, the warm apple cider which was seasonal and I recently had the Frie Tower and sliders. The sliders where not so good but that tower and the tots where pretty tasty. Prices are reasonable for sharables and they have a variety of drinks. Once you try top Golf you will want to return, it's the view and ambience for me!
