I have been terrified of the dentist for some time. Kind of like the car dealership, you have a go-between who talks billing and insurance with you away from the nurse and dentist. It's discrete and comfortable without pressure. My nurse (dental hygienist) was Susan? Or Sandy? God she was an angel. She was so kind to me breaking down and upset and in pain. She made me feel so comfortable talking about stuff and offering anything I might need. My dentist was Dr Taylor who was incredibly knowledgeable and proficient. I got out what needed to come out and I even scheduled an appointment for regular maintenance later this month. I was made comfortable to be there, whether I needed nitrous or a valium, either are available. And they make sure you are physically comfortable with numbing. Mentally comfortable is hard, but true kindness shines through in the folks who work there. I got a kids "reward" (shark plushie) to hold while I had my procedure. When I left I got a "goodie bag" with full instructions on what I had done, extra gauze, and an emergency card. It's a little hinky getting in with the road construction on witchduck road. But soon as your turn on Grayson, by the church, it's there. There's an employee entrance on the witchduck side and another saying Ste 200 on the side, even though the dentist is Ste 100, this is the door you go in.

The Girl who called me Christina was INCREDIBLY RUDE and professional. I was going to reschedule when I get a new dental insurance but I will not be returning. She continued to tell me how she sent information to my phone but I never received it. and she continued to repeat her self with the worst attitude. I guess I will be finding another dentist office for my teeth cleaning. Apparently if you don't…read morerespond via text message by 3pm TWO DAYS before your scheduled appointment, they cancel your appointment. I am very familiar with text/ email reminders, or confirmations of medical appointments, but I have never experienced a policy like this one that literally cancels your appointment two days before. What if people are working or traveling and don't get the message until after 3pm? Also, maybe this was in the fine print, but I was never informed of such a ridiculous policy. I also don't appreciate the limited hours of operation. Maybe it works for a stay at home house wife, but for anyone running a business, or working long hours it's just not convenient, or practical. Another issue is that they require you to pay up front for services, and then you have to wait for your insurance to reimburse you. Another inconvenience. Finally, they have made a lot of investments in new technologies, such as the sonic cleaner and they require/ prefer for you to use the uncomfortable devices, even when you request hand scaling. At my last cleaning I asked the hygienist if she could just do hand scaling because the sonic device is uncomfortable and causes more TMJ pain. Her response was, "why don't we compromise and do half and half." It made me feel pressured to concede, and likely she is being pressured/ encouraged to use this device on patients. I'm sure Coastal Cosmetic Dentistry has plenty of business, and lots of 5 star reviews, but it's hard to imagine that I'm the only patient that's been put out by the items mentioned above. You might want to at least give your patients a heads up that you require a response two days before your scheduled appointment to keep the appointment.

After anxiety caused me to cancel several appointments, Dr. Limberis, personally reached out to reassure me. When I finally arrived, she made a point of finding me, welcomed me with a warm hug, and treated me with remarkable patience and compassion. Kennedy, the dental assistant, was equally outstanding. She took the time to answer every question thoughtfully and ensured that I felt informed, comfortable, and at ease throughout my visit. Her professionalism, communication skills, and extensive knowledge of the practice were truly impressive. Chanel and the front-office team provided impeccable service from beginning to end. Every detail, including my paperwork and next steps, was explained with clarity and care. They made certain that I fully understood everything before leaving. Every dental assistant is well-educated, well-spoken, personable and caring. Cappy seems truly invested in your whole body healthcare (because as we all know, you dental health affects all of your organs!). Cappy goes the extra mile to get to know all of his patients, so that when you walk in the door, you feel as though you're among friends. He is always friendly, knowledgeable, up-to-date on the state of your dental well-being, well educated on current and cutting edge dental technology, and wants to ensure your physical and mental comfort. From the office managers to the dental hygienists, I feel that I'm in good hands. Cappy believes in whole-body health, so he grows organic vegetables behind his practice, that he gives to his clients, always has snacks, coffee, tea and bottled water in the wait area, has comfortable dental chairs with massager built-in, provides all of his patients with sunglasses to protect their eyes from the bright lights and miniature chapstick so the sides of your mouth won't crack from dryness when he's working on you. One of my favorite things is his willingness to address multiple services in one or two visits so you aren't having to make numerous appointments for every little thing (like my previous dentist who would only block out one hour of time to devote to each patient. For example, I had to make 6 appointments for a root canal and crown!). He definitely respects his patients' time...a rare thing in the medical world. My wife had her first cleaning done by Michelle and she sent her home with organic tea, a coffee mug and a can of organic soup. It's those small gestures that make you feel like he and his staff really care about you. When my wife was diagnosed with a serious disease, Cappy and every single member of his staff sent her a get well card with a heartfelt message from each individual! This practice is a rare gem in today's medical field! I feel blessed to have discovered Cappy and his talented staff.

She started going here…read moreand was shocked at how amazing their customer service was, as well as how thorough Dr. Santos is. I used to love coming to the dentist (we all have our quirks, people!), until I had a bad experience at our prior dentist. I decided to give Smile By Design a go, and I love it (although I can't say I LOVE getting dental work done- I'm now a normal person that dreads the dentist). I've had filling removal & re-fills done, and I expressed my fear & anxiety to Dr. Santos, and she was so calm and patient with me during the entire procedure. That first experience I had with her made me feel totally comfortable and I trust her completely with my teeth. I think they do offer a lot of options, and some people are put off by that, but I'm gonna tell you- I bought that expensive Bluetooth toothbrush they offered me, and while the Bluetooth part is whatever (IMHO), my teeth have never felt better and my hygienist notices a difference in my teeth (which I totally believe!). My teeth feel like I just got a cleaning every single time I brush with it (which is nightly). Dr. Santos also suggested I get a soft night guard, and while my insurance doesn't cover that, I saved my pennies and got fitted for it. In summary, I do feel as though this dentistry has my teeth in their best interest, and I would recommend anyone going here! If you've had bad experiences at the dentist, be honest with them about it and I think they'll baby you like they baby me. We need it!
