Jason took me under his wing as my bartending teacher and wow, everything was so informational and helpful! I had no prior knowledge and this class helped ease me into the world of mixology & bartending altogether. I feel much more confident to apply myself. I highly suggest to take the class regardless if you're experienced or not, there's so much detail that can be overlooked. Jason is a class act, super funny- overall down to earth guy who is always willing to help and answer questions thoroughly. 5/5! read more

We hired Bay Area Bartenders for our annual client holiday party and were very pleased with Jason, the bartender! Jason was personable, happy to assist me with any help I needed and the guests raved about him! We will be using your services again at our next big party! read more

We booked Bay Area Bartenders for my husband's 40th birthday party. David was very responsive to my inquiries and answered all the questions. In addition, he offered many options and useful advice to keep my guests happy/satisfied but still stayed within my budget. David and team showed up on time and was a great addition to the big 4-0 birthday celebration. Booking the bartending service offered me the extra time to mingle/socialize with guests and left me with an assured mind that guests ' alcohol needs are covered. I highly recommend the service and would definitely book it again for future parties. read more

Hired BAB for a wedding I planned and they did not disappoint! The bartenders were fast & efficient and guests were raving about how which they were. They came prepared with the right bar tools, ice and set up and cleaned up within the allocated time frame. Definitely will use them again for future events. read more

Bay Area Bartenders catered for our event in San Jose last weekend. They were very professional and responsive when we first inquired about their services. Additionally, I heard a lot of our guests praise the bartenders for not being stingy with the amount of alcohol in the drinks. Would definitely hire them again for another event! read more

The Team and Jason was amazing with service and professionalism. They came early and came with a great attitude. Super funny and engaging with everyone. They had all of the drinks ready and tons of ice for the event. Thank you for being on top of it! read more

My cousin hosted a birthday party serviced by Bay Area Bartenders. I really liked the variety of drinks they offered but most importantly their customer service was top notch. My friends who attended also had great things to say about the menu/drinks that day. Overall great compared to consider if you need bartender service. read more

Super long overdue review. Hired Bay Area Bartenders for my birthday party last year. Their staff was responsive throughout the whole booking process. They were AMAZING day of event. The drinks they made were absolutely fantastic. Great service as well! Will def. hire them for my next event. read more

I don't understand how this business received 5 stars. We booked them for a 1,000-person corporate event and it was the most terrible experience. 1) UNPROFESSIONAL | The correspondence leading up to the event was messy, unprofessional, and very confusing. They didn't keep their word to what they promised to provide. It also seemed like they were trying to overcharge us. 2) POOR EXPERIENCE | Our employees had to wait in very long lines to get their alcohol -- the bar was closed 15 minutes before our event officially ended and one of the bartenders was very rude about it to employees that were still patiently waiting in line. 3) DRINKS | Their beer selection wasn't great - lots of Modelo. The bar set up itself looked like a mess. We asked for nonalcoholic beverages and those were NOT provided. Overall, this vendor stressed out my team so much. We paid a hefty nonrefundable deposit so by the time we realized they were difficult to work with, it was too late. read more

They bartended our event for ~200 people. They were friendly, nice, and set up was easy. They had good pours as well. We chose our own prices for the night. They kept the long line moving quickly and made fun drinks when people asked for a surprise drink. They were easy to communicate with when we were choosing which bartender to go with and actually picked up their phone :) read more

They worked my event and it was great! Heavy pours, great drinks, fantastic staff. 10/10 would recommend.

have been using Bay Area Bartenders for the past few years and they are professional and the easiest to work with. As a wedding planner, I always recommend my clients the All Inclusive package since the company provides everything and the client does not have to worry about the bartending side. They have been in business for over 10 years so their experience speaks for itself. read more

A friend referred me Bay Area Bartenders for my birthday and I'm so glad they did. Their service was phenomenal from beginning to end: they communicated clearly what they offered, arrived early to set up, the drinks were absolutely delicious and the bartender was super friendly as well. They bartended for a company quarter-end social event and did a good job. The setup was very professional and the bartenders were very pleasant. They were early to set everything up and made sure that there were signs printed with what was being served for our event, so that people know what to expect when they walked up to order. Will use them again for a future event! read more

Bartenders were wonderful and worked the crowd, drinks were wonderful. Would hire again for my next party.

Friendly staff, generous portions on drinks, which were tasty. It's so important to have a professional set of bartending staff on an event day and they truly delivered great service. Thank you! read more

Bay Area Bartenders worked my organization's event last Friday, and I couldn't recommend them more! The staff were extremely professional and friendly, and when I asked for them to surprise me with their choice of a mixed drink, what they made was so delicious! We had a packed house that evening, and the staff did a great job at keeping the line moving very efficiently. Would definitely keep BAB in mind for our next event. read more

I partnered with the Bay Area Bartenders for a non-profit event I hosted and from the jump, Dave was communicative, efficient and friendly. The pre-event communication with all team members was great, and we easily bounced ideas back and fourth. We ended up asking them to be in our VIP pouring area, which they gladly agreed to. A crew showed up, dressed nicely, all very friendly and served up delicious cocktails. I would definitely recommend Bay Area Bartenders for your party needs! read more

Wow! An amazing group of people. They helped our huge corporate event and they made the whole process easy for us. The day kf the event they knew exactly what to do and we did not need to bother them. Dominic was very patient from the start. Do not hesistate to book them since they get booked up a month in advanced. read more

Bay Area Bartenders was a vendor at the Vietnamese Bar Association of Northern CA Scholarship Dinner. They had orange slices as chasers, but no limes. Overall, the minimum was high for the type of event we were hosting, but service was quick. read more

I booked Bay Area Bartenders after interacting with them on thumbtack.com. I host a monthly event for 150 women as part of my volunteer work with the Junior League of San Jose. Bay Area Bartenders provided a no-host bar for us for our most recent event. They brought all of the glassware, all of the beer/wine/soft drinks, processed credit card transactions ($20 minimum) all for a minimum tab (versus a flat fee). Thanks Bay Area Bartenders for arriving early, staying late, being friendly and doing exactly what you were contracted to do. Simple things like honesty and integrity are huge when it comes to contracting with vendors - especially ones you meet through the internet. 5-Stars for being above and beyond the competition. read more

Working with Bay Area Bartenders was extremely convenient. HELPFUL We had a large outdoor party for 100 people and I had never hired bartenders before. Bay Area Bartenders talked be through the process and recommended two bartenders (which was perfect). They even emailed me a detailed grocery list when I asked them for recommendations on how much alcohol and ice to purchase for a group this size. TIMELY The two bartenders arrived extra early to set up, tap the kegs and make sure everything was ready before guests arrived. That was fun because they made us a couple pre-party drinks to sample. ;) PROFESSIONAL They dressed appropriately - in a white long-sleeved dress shirt, black vest and black tie w/ black pants. The were friendly, made converstaion with guests at the bar and, most importantly, served a lot of drinks! At the end of the night, they were made sure all the rented glasses were collected and put away and left the bar area tidy and clean. A SUCCESS I will definitely use them again for future parties. read more

We recently hired Bay Area Bartenders for my wife's birthday party and their service was outstanding. Having top quality cocktails available for your guests really takes the stress out of throwing a party. Having selected the cocktails we wanted available, we got a shopping list of things we'd need and that was it. The team arrived at the venue right on time, got things set up, and cleared up completely after the event. Highly recommended. read more

Beyond my expectations. I was very straight-forward with this bartender and had very specific demands. When you have a poor bartender, everyone at the wedding knows, so I made sure I got a professional and reliable one. I probably wasn't the easiest client to work with either. In terms of professionalism, David met with me several times in person prior to the wedding to make sure the items he provided and that alcohol I provided were spelled out all in the contract. He also made it easy to pay him via PayPal or a BofA account and didn't expect full payment until the day of service. A week before I threw him a curve ball and asked if he could serve lemonade at a completely separate location then the venue itself. He gladly obliged and worked the service into the contract we had. Perfect! The service was great. Everyone seemed happy with the lemonade stand while we were taking group photos together. The line at the bar wasn't ever too too long during the duration, which is the major killjoy. And David's pretty and professional staff made sure that they didn't serve anyone that looked like they had way too much for the night. Great service, great communication, and reliable! That's as good as it gets. read more

Hello hello! Cheers to Bay Area Bartenders! We used Bay Area Bartenders for our company event that I hosted and I highly recommend it. Athena was a wonderful coordinator. She responded in a timely manner and answered all my numerous questions. The process itself was seamless (which I appreciated so much). Dee was our bartender, and let me tell you - he was great. He was so kind and accommodating and arrived early to help set up. He even stayed behind to help us clean. Overall, I had a great experience with them and I will most definitely use them again. :) read more

I found BAB through all these great reviews, sent out an email and they were really responsive. I booked with them for my wedding last weekend seven months ago. Since I booked them a long time, we had some misunderstandings before the wedding but BAB was great at correcting those misunderstandings. The bartenders showed up early and stayed late, they also cleaned up after the area before they left. Overall, I would do business with them again but make sure you go through what you are needed to provide for them at the event so there won't be any misunderstanding. read more

These guys are amazing. They meet ahead of time and make sure they plan everything exactly how you want it. They come with a great group of staff to the event and are all professional. Dave was very easy to work with and made you feel like you were a priority and went beyond my husband and my expectations. I highly recommend Bay Area Bartenders for any event you are throwing. I recently used them for a large event at my work and they were great! We had two bars and they came and set them up for us with minimal direction, they were well dressed and presented themselves very professionally. The crew at Bay Area Bartenders were very professional and flexible. For my recent Star Wars themed NYE party they provided the perfect bartender. Overall the cost of the bar service combined with the flexibility of the staff and the great customer service made working with this group great fun! read more

Athena was a great help and was very responsive. I initially reached out for a quote for my wedding, but ended up not having to use their services because I moved my event to a park. If anyone has tried to plan a wedding before you know that getting quotes and responses from vendors is a huge pain. But Athena was friendly and helpful, even after I thanked her and told her I wouldn't be needed their services she responded professionally and was still so nice in her emails! If in the future I need to hire a bartender I will definitely be coming back. read more

When our caterer informed us a month and a half before our wedding that they wouldn't provide some services we thought they would (e.g. bussing tables, filling water glasses, etc.) we had to quickly scramble to find a bartending company who would. Bay Area Bartenders were not only available at such short notice, but they did a fantastic job! Their staff was friendly and professional. They joked around with us and our guests and made sure everyone was having a good time. One bartender in particular would dance and sing along to our music whenever he would enter the reception room. When I mentioned it to him he said, "It's like you put my iPod on shuffle!" Thumbs up to not only a great company, but a bartender with great taste in music :o) read more

Had a small wedding & reception in backyard for approx. 30 people. Booked Bay Area Bartenders fairly last minute and they were AWESOME. Showed up early, did a great job with set-up and even helped with setting up other areas of the event. At the end of the event, they cleaned up and helped store the extra booze. Drinks tasted great and bartenders had a wonderful personality and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Well worth the cost to make any event extra special. read more

Dave and his team are very professional and accommodating. We worked with BAB for a conference reception (100+ people, we supplied our own alcohol) and they had a fast response time and competitive rates. I hope to work with them again and would certainly recommend them to others. BAB should be on your short list if you need licensed and insured bartenders in the Bay Area. read more

Bay Area Bartenders did a great job helping us out for a last minute work event. I had to throw an impromptu happy hour for a company celebration and they were able to accommodate us and our bartender David was SO incredibly helpful. Really went above and beyond when I was stressed to pull off the event. He helped set up food, set up super quietly because we had a meeting going on before the happy hour and worked quickly. We were so thankful! Great job David! And amazing customer service, fast response and super helpful. read more

We used Bay Area Bartenders for our 300 guest count wedding. We could not have been more happy with the outcome! The bartenders were extremely professional and friendly to our guests, not to consider, also very efficient with the time it took to complete the drink orders. Everyone enjoyed the drink selections that were offered and had nothing but great comments for us. When you plan a wedding, it is very stressful. However, David and his staff made the planning process such a breeze. We let them know what our alcohol preferences were and they made recommendations for our shopping list and where to get our needed supplies from. Things could not have been easier! We were also able to create a specialty drink! The lychee martini is to die for!! People still tell us how good they thought it was!! On the day of the wedding, Bay Area Bartenders (Thao and Jeffrey) showed up on time and set up accordingly. The set up looked great and they kept it that way the whole night. I can honestly say, we kept them quite busy all night! People were always flocking to the bar but there was never a long wait. We were extremely happy to have found such nice, energetic, and professional people to accommodate our venue. Moving forward, I would definitely recommend this group and also use them again for any future parties we want to throw! read more
