We were traveling through Alabama when our Chevrolet's transmission began to run hot. We stopped at…read morethis dealership/service department. They told us we needed a new transmission and it would cost us $6,900!! After questioning them, they then said they could change the transmission fluid, filter, and temp valve for $800 and it would take 4-hours. We questioned them even more. All they had done was take the dip stick out and checked it. Needless to say we left after having to pay them $200 FOR NOTHING!! After leaving and stopping at a transmission shop, we got the transmission fluid, filter, and temp valve changed for $360 and it only took ONE (1)-HOUR!!! I guess screwing people is what they do best!! If you are okay with this, then by all means, do your thing, but screwing people over or trying to screw the ripple over is not okay, I don't care what kind of business you run.

After going down there twice it was never fixed and then the car turned out to be a lemon. It needed over 2,000 worth of work done to it, because it not only was a rebuilt title but wasn't rebuilt correctly or taken care of after the fact. I was denied a Carfax by Lee and had to purchase one on my own. I wasn't given tag information at the time of the sale and had to call numerous times and message Lee on fb. I got it in the mail one day before my tag was due. I felt that I was misled, lied to, and taken advantage of and will never do business with them again. I suggest the same with you. They get their junk yard cars from the auction and they are that junk yard cars and come with MAJOR issues like broken motor mounts, major oil leaks, faulty wiring that could cause fire of the vehicle. It was also sold with tires with wire showing on one of them, and they sell tires. That should be an embarrassment on their part. And don't think you are going to get ahold of Lee the owner on the phone. He never is at the shop and answers the phone, nor returns phone calls, and if you drive down there you will be waiting for a while because Gary pretty much is the only one that is ever there. He will have to call Lee at his house and tell him a customer is there and he will take his time coming to the shop. I have seen people walking around the car lot wanting to buy cars and he loses a lot of business because he obviously doesn't know how to run a business. You have to be present to run a business. Not just put crappy cars on the lot and hope for the best. Don't waste your time with these fools. Take your business elsewhere.

The condescending manager tells me "you didn't buy the road hazard" I explained again that I was just putting air in the tire. Again she said I would have to have the road hazard. Undoubtedly Midas can take down negative reviews because this is not the first time I have had problems with them, never really expected them to do the right thing, just thought I would check and see if they may have leaned how to keep a customer. They haven't and I guess the owner doesn't care. That's fine I will never darken their door again. Please stay away from these people you will not be happy with any aspect of your visit. Clanton Tire and Automotive gave us the best price over the phone and the work was done quickly and efficiently. According to their owner, Saturdays are mostly reserved for oil changes, and tires. Big repairs have to be scheduled Monday - Friday. Their owner is Jay and the manager is Chris. Both of these guys will treat you right by being helpful and honest. This week we replaced our brakes and replaced a blown fuse - both big and small items. They will get you what you need in a timely fashion. The shop is older with a small waiting area and they have free wi-fi.

Derrick showed up with his big-rig tow truck on time and worked through the many complexities of preparing our rig for towing. He removed the drive shaft, filled the air bag suspension system with air from his tow truck, and was very careful to tow our rig without damage to the fiberglass front cap and the spare tire carrier extending out from the rear towing receiver. Derrick was courteous, patient, and accommodating to me and my wife as we prepared the coach for the tow. We heartily recommend Mims for towing needs of any motor home of any size.

The service was excellent and accurate, the price charged was too low, and the communication as well as options provided as well as being willing to come to the literal middle of nowhere...we're never contacting anyone else ever again. A microwave died in the process due to my stupidity but we feel safe to live in this unit again and upgrade the microwave from 2012. Mamma is happy and feels safe.
