I was selling my parent's home in New York while I was living in Texas. I hired Bruce from Bauer Well Drilling October, 2021, to install new required well caps to be up to code. He managed to do this job even through the scheduled house person didn't show up. Bruce did the job with without electric breakers being off. Since I live in Texas, he then sent me photographs of his work. I didn't even ask for the photos. What a nice thoughtful man.
After our water failed Health inspection. I had Culligan do water test . Culligan told me there is too much iron in the water for a UV system to work. I didn't believe Culligan because I know there are no iron stains in our sinks. But I was concerned UV system may not work. Bruce made a trip to the house, tested our water and reassured me the UV will work. Wonderful!
I hired Bruce December, 2021 to put in a UV system. He did a limited time chlorine flush to the pipes located after UV light. After chorine is washed away, the UV system disinfects all water entering from well without water getting re-infected by pipes after UV light. This saved me a lot of money. I did not need to pay $350 per well, for a full well, house disinfection treatment in addition to UV system cost. Our well water passed inspection. I am very pleased and lucky to have hired him. We had a good working relationship even though I am miles away, never met him and I'm female knowing little about wells. He explained everything to me very well. I found him professional, fair pricing and trusted him.
TIP: Erie County New York Health requires only certified registered well drillers for jobs. Any registered well driller in New York is excepted. I found listings for all registered well drillers in NY listed by county, online. Bruce is certified and registered in Wyoming County, located in Gainsville NY, which happened to be closer to our property then ones listed in Erie County. ;) read more
