You can pay from your return or up front (through many different methods). I've done my taxes from 1700 miles away, and they make it work. Bottom line, taxes suck. If I could have given ZERO stars I would have. I have used this company for 9 years.... I got…read moremarried last year and asked Hillary the best way to file for us. She told me she ran 9 scenarios. Come to find out, the option she "suggested" was not only INCORRECT, it could have been considered illegal. I let her know our concerns and she completed the "Amended" return, however the company took their "fees" already based on the original return amount.... I then received notice from the IRS that not only was the return COMPLETELY incorrect, due to 2 typo's in the SSN's for my kids it will take AT LEAST another 16 WEEKS to review, before any refund can be issued...... And I had to correct those errors on my own. The IRS RECOMMENDED that I no longer deal with them. When I notified Hillary of the trouble and asked for a refund based on the incorrect filing, advice, and my husband now OWEING $500, I was told she is only an "ADVISOR" and she suggested reread our paperwork. For me, if I pay you fora Service you are a "Tax Professional". You'd think that after 9 years of loyal service, I would have gotten better customer service..... THEY MAY CLAM TO GET YOU THE MOST MONEY, BUT LORD HELP YOU IF THERE IS AN ISSUE, OR THEY MAKE AN ERROR. You'll be on your own. I filed a grievance with the IRS, based on THEIR recommendation, and also with the BBB. BEWARE!!!!!!!
