I wouldn't trust these guys. I tried to order a battery from them for a 2014 Prius V, and had…read moreenough red flags I cancelled the order the day after I made it. First of all, every time I call, nobody answers, they always have to call back. Second of all, none of the locations have a phone number you can call or even visit without a prior appointment by phone, you have to call the main number and be transferred.
After ordering the battery on a Sunday, which I was told was in stock, I was told that I would have to wait for the Charlotte location to contact me so I could pick it up, I couldn't just show up and get it. I tried calling them around 10AM Monday morning so I could schedule a time, which is when I found out they had no direct number. After placing several calls back to the main number, I was finally transferred to the shop.
The guy I talked to was shady as hell. First he tells me they don't have any batteries in stock for my car. The battery for the Prius/Prius V, 3rd gen, is the same for all the model year cars in that gen. There are more of that Prius on the road than ants in a hill, and he's out of them, contrary to what the sales guy, who supposedly tracks inventory, said.
Then he tells me they have to build the battery when they get an order, and he says it normally takes a few days. However, they are going to be in my area tomorrow, and they can build one and drop it off. WTF? You cannot just throw these together, they require cell balancing and testing, and you can't do that in a business day, starting at 10AM, and leaving at 5PM, and then throwing that on a truck for delivery the next day. When I point that out, he starts acting like he doesn't understand what I am talking about and tells me they test them by putting them in the car. WTF?? If that REALLY is what they are doing, you don't want ANYTHING to do with these guys.
I'm guessing this guy at the shop just didn't want to deal with a walk up buyer today and they have these batteries ready to go. I never asked for, nor wanted them to deliver anything. Whatever was going on, both their sales people and service people are not what I would want to have to deal with post-sale. I cancelled my order and will spend my $2300 with somebody else. I can buy the factory battery for that price anyway.
