This apparently a second review of Batteries Plus. The software getting to Batteries Plus on Channing Way in Idaho Falls is not straight forward as it should be. This is not the fault of the management of this facility, but it would be a plus to make it easier to comment on the high quality of this business. I went in on Wednesday, October 3, 2023 to pick a product and took a careful look again at this business. Quite a while before I had gotten a new wrist watch and had no clue how to program it. The old watch seemed to have a battery problem and was "dead" for use. Well, much to my surprise the staff there put my new watch into working condition and amazingly resurrected my old watch. What a group of experts! Well, on this visit I put on my professional auditors hat and wanted to see if I had missed anything in the past. My professional opinion the staff keeps their business extremely clean, neat, well kept, i.e. "crisp". The staff working there matches the appearance of the store. The employee assisting me, Mark, was exceedingly helpful. I watched how other customers were treated and it was consistent...perfect. I can't imagine anyone would accuse the staff of being rude or not helpful. In my professional opinion five stars is an underestimate of the staff and store. My true opinion is 5 stars and at least 3 +++ rating. I've rated a couple of businesses over the years that were shut down. Given the standards of the facility and the staff excellence of Batteries Plus the aforementioned businesses would still be in operation and thriving. On a trip to Arizona from North Idaho, our RV batteries failed to hold a charge through the night. It was a rough night in 15 degree temps with no heater. We pulled into Batteries Plus the next morning where Mark was able to exchange the two batteries because they were still under warranty and failed a charge test. Mark was kind, courteous and efficient and Batteries Plus is lucky to have an employee of his caliber. He even removed the bad batteries and installed the new ones. Since corresponding with the owner of Batteries Plus, Mrs. Laura L, I've learned that the store is willing to price match on merchandise. This is great to know and something I wish the employee had mentioned when I had gone in, was shocked by the price difference, stated to the sales associate that the price for a phone battery was pretty steep, and instead of telling me they priced matched he told me to upgrade my phone. I understand older electronics having hard to find batteries set at higher price, since they are no longer being mass produced in high quantities or not at all. Which is why I will state again how amazed I was at the great selection of batteries and charging accessories Batteries Plus keeps on stock. Armed with the fact that the owner, manager and sales associates are willing to work with customers, it does add an incentive to visit Batteries Plus again. With this new knowledge, I hope that my second visit to Batteries Plus will result in obtaining the product I need at a competitive price. read more

They folks always bail me out of disasters! They know their stuff from computers to car keys they have saved my bacon.

Went to have a cracked screen repaired. In the process they damaged the phone. Screen wasn't replaced. They offered to replace the device with a refurbished one, but held it hostage until I paid ransom of the screen repair. Screen was never replaced! They also demand I return the damaged phone to them so they can reuse parts. Shop elsewhere! read more

This is a great store. They have a huge selection of batteries and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and their service is top notch. We have set up a business account with this store and get great pricing. They are willing to price match and always seem to have whatever we need in stock and ready to go. They are locally owned; it's nice being able to do business with a locally owned business instead of one of those big-box store. read more

I've had great experiences at other BPB locations I've been to, but this one was so frustrating that we left and went elsewhere. From the time we walked into this busy shop, the guy we can only assume was the manager was loudly belittling his employee in front of a room full of customers. Each time he would loudly declare the employee's name (Kevin, by the way) and then continue to loudly berate him when he had done nothing worthy of it. When we finally made it up to the counter, Kevin was the one waiting on us (the manager was on the phone in the back room most of the time we had been there). He was very cordial and helpful and did nothing at all worthy of being lambasted by his manager the way he was, yet he was. When Kevin's computer started acting up, the manager yelled at him a few times before trying it himself only to find that there WAS an issue with it, and then yelled at Kevin to use the other computer ... which he did. We followed him there and he asked my wife a question, but before she'd had a chance to reply, the obnoxious manager fellow yelled at him again: "KEVIN! She doesn't know you're addressing her!" Actually my wife DID know he was addressing her but she couldn't get a reply in before the boss interrupted her. We had already grown frustrated at the over-the-top rude handling of this employee, entirely unwarranted, but this remark was all we could take. I proudly looked on as my wife remarked: "That's it. We're going somewhere else!" The manager poured on the syrup now and kissed her ass with a "I'm so sorry ma'am" type of remark, but my wife stopped him when he started to blame her frustration on Kevin. "This has nothing to do with Kevin!" she shouted. "It's because of YOU! We would never do business with someone who treats their employees the way you do!" I backed her remark up with one of my own that probably doesn't need to be repeated here and we left. I wish I could have left zero stars instead of one! We don't normally use Yelp when we have a crappy experience but we were so worried that Kevin was going to take the rap for our choice to take our business elsewhere and be reprimanded and we wanted the truth to be told. If he was fired after we left, we would gladly give our account of the event to this manager's superiors! read more

Good service ok prices and they have everything you need . Was in a jam with a bad battery in my ATV and they got me hooked up quick. Have higher end batteries for 20 bucks more that require no water or maintenance with 1 year warranty. read more

Used to be good service now when you go in they eye roll you. Recently called in to check how old the battery was just to verify if it was under warranty or not they couldn't find any of my information and told me I must've bought it from Walmart or somewhere. Got home got all the information off the battery turns out they did sell me the battery still don't know what happened to my information in the computer which was a big positive to have all your information on file. And just said it's out of warranty and sighed like I'm putting him out. This with the recent phone fixed improperly just verified its time to move on. read more

Had a great experience this morning. My iPhone 4s died, and I thought I was going to buy a new one. I took it in to the Idaho Falls location, and they ran a few tests, and let me know it could be fixed.... for only $50! They did the repair in less than an hour - even during the busy Christmas season - and the phone is as good as new. THANKS!!! read more

I dropped off some batteries to be rebuilt. I was told that parts were in stock. I have called 3 days after the promised delivery date, only to find out that the parts have yet to be ordered. They have had them since 5/20/16 and told me the parts will be delivered next thursday. It is quite apparent that their promise means very little. read more
