Got rid of a box full of old phone chargers and cords. No questions. Took about 5 minutes at the store

Batteries Plus Pine Island Rd.12-6-24 Buyer Beware. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had buying a Motorcycle Battery. I hadn't ridden my Motorcycle in 3 months but the last time I rode it everything was fine with the bike. When I went to start it a couple days ago, the lights and radio worked, but the starter just clicked. This has happened before, and I knew it needed a new battery as it was way over 6 years old. I checked around and decided to buy a new Battery from Battery's Plus. I stopped down and they sold me a new battery for 161 dollars with a 12 Month replacement warranty. Once home I started to open the box and I heard a rattle coming from inside the box. As I opened the box all the hardware as in bolts and nuts were out of the bag floating around inside the box. The hardware bag was not broken and as I took count of the hardware one nut was missing. This nut is a special size, so I made one in my shop to fit. I Installed the Battery and turned the bike ignition switch on and low and behold no lights, no radio. I immediately checked the Battery connections and Battery voltage. It was less than 3 volts. I uninstalled the Battery put it back in the box and stopped back at Battery's Plus with my receipt. I told them what happened, and they checked the voltage with their meter and came up with the same reading. I said I wanted to exchange the bad with another good battery. They said NO WAY. I asked why not and what about the 12-month warranty? They stated your battery is under 10 volts so and we don't know what you did with it so NO EXCHANGE AND NO MONEY BACK, STORE POLICY. I asked to speak a manager they said no manager was there. I said so I paid 161 dollars for nothing does that seem fair. They said that's the way it is. I called my credit card company, and they credited me back the 161 and they will dispute the charges. I WILL NEVER BY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. Made an appointment to have an iPhone SE screen replaced. Dropped it off and when I returned to pick it up the screen was still cracked and now the camera was out of it. The rep claims it fell out when he removed the screen? The camera was working before I dropped it off. Do not bring in your phones to be repaired here. read more

Went in for a single battery for a fan remote because home depot and Lowe's didn't stock it, was happy batteries plus did so bought it, got it home replaced the old with the new and 5 days later remote didn't work, frustrated i took it back, the guy tested it and said its a dead battery, he said sometimes if a battery sits on the shelf to long ut will die like this, and they can't do a return because i didn't keep the package that 1 battery came in? I asked who expects a battery to die in less than a week. Bad customer service, bad old batteries sold. I will never shop them again and warn others as well. And yes i ask for store manager and he was unfazed and unwilling to help. In reading other reviews seems this isn't first time and doesn't seem to be they care about it or do anything to correct the situation. I took my battery from my battery backup in to see if there was any charge left, the guy put his meter on it and proceeded to tell me the battery was dead. I told him I bought the more expensive battery 1 year ago because of the 3 year warranty and he told me that there is only a 1 year warranty and he didn't know why someone at their store would tell me that telling me that the guy that sold it to me didn't work there anymore so what he told me was wrong. The manager came out and said I was right about the 3 years but questioned why the battery was dead and said he wouldn't honor the warranty. This is a classic case of bait and switch to get you to buy the more expensive battery. Stay away from this store, go to Ft Myers! read more

This is a follow up to my previous review dated 6/4/2022. This week I went on Amazon Prime and searched for AG10 batteries. I found a 7 battery pack for $5.21. I received the order the next day and immediately tried the batteries. THEY WORKED PERFECTLY. Frank, I suggest that if your employees are requested to find a battery that isn't in stock, they simply tell the customer that the store doesn't cardry that product. Pretty basic retail produres. With regard to my $14.00 charge for the worthless batteries your store sold me, consider it a donation for your upcoming unemployment compensation. read more

I bought a battery for my jet ski last year. Took it to store because it was charging but over the days would loose all the charged. They have the battery for over three days and still haven't determined if the battery is good or not. I'm a mechanic and I know that it doesn't take that long to determined if a battery is good or not! It would be the last place I would recommend people to buy a battery from. The staff knows so much about batteries that they drowned on their on knowledge. So pathetic. read more

Check the expiration dates on any battery you buy from this place. I was sold a battery that was a montb aesy from its expiration date. Staff wasn't very helpful; great at upselling though. read more

I took my RV battery in on April 15, 2019 to be tested. I wanted to make sure the battery was bad and not just low on charge. The store clerk told me the battery was bad and needed replacement. The cost was $140. I didn't trust the clerk and took it to an auto part store. They tested the battery and stated it was low on charge. The battery was not bad. Beware of this store. This didn't seem very honest. read more

This is a very good place to buy batteries for about anything. Very knowledgeable staff to assist you. I bought a battery for my motorcycle a year and a half ago. When it went bad under warranty I expected to get the usual prorated value but to my surprise their batteries have a free replacement warranty. read more

Went into the Cape Coral location on Pine Island Road on a Sunday. No other customers in store, 2 guys behind the counter. Sorry to have disturbed your time to actually stand up for a customer. Geesh. I was coming in there to replace a rechargeable digital camera battery klic-5001 (sells for $15.00 @ Wal-Mart) and there price $45.00. SERIOUSLY. Never NEVER again. Paid 20% more than online and got some BS excuse about weight when I returned my core...was not going to even start to argue....Keep the 5 dollars...it will be the MOST expensive 5 you ever stole from a customer.
