Texted Carlie and she was super patient as I tried to understand the mobile groomer process. When Carlie arrived, she was super gentle and took the time to have my fur baby smell her hand and be comfortable before she brings him into the grooming trailer. I asked that he may be snippy and might want to use a muzzle...she replied let's see how it goes cause the muzzle usually stressing the doggies out. Based I her response, I can tell she is all about making the doggies comfortable instead of just churning thru the process to move onto another dog. After the deshedding, he looked like he lost 20 lbs. Slim and trim! Chante was amazing. Leica was a little rambunctious while Mom was around, but the second she left, Chante worked her magic and got him settled down like a pro. He lets us touch his paws and nails but as soon as the nail clippers come out he runs and won't let anything hold him down. They stopped attempting and his nails looked like talons. He started not wanting to be dropped off there at all, so I knew we had to find a new groomer. I saw Patty advertising working with anxious pets and reached out. The very first grooming Patty did was difficult when we attempted to do nails. She offered to attempt again on her own time and came with new ideas to help him through the process, which shows much she cares about the pets she's working with and getting the job done. She was able to get the worst nails cut, but we ended up deciding he should be sedated at the vet for the rest since they had gotten so bad. Patty showed nothing but compassion for Domo and knew he just needs more time with her. We've had a few groomings now and this past one, she was able to grind some nails down. This is a big improvement for him. I can tell that eventually he will feel comfortable enough to do all of them at once. I appreciate that Patty does as much as she can within his comfort and her soothing approach to Domo. She is always on time or early, and being a mobile service is super convenient.
