One star is too much! When I called for their service 4 years ago they were great. Now that my tub is need of repair they are not interested. Forget about lifetime warranty I spoke with someone February 3 and he didn't seem too interested and said he would come take a look and we never heard from this person again after leaving messages. Try to get somebody to come out and fix their errors will coast @ least $75.00 to loosen a shower head after waiting for over 2 months .I have a new shower head ,,Talk about a rip off,, Especially to elderly people unable to do things. read more

Update: Due to a miscommunication on both our parts I am updating my post. Bathfitters's contacted me and replaced the cracked floor! The installer was punctual, courteous and did a fabulous job. We had Bath Fitter remodel our bath tub about four years ago and have been happy with it. A couple of weeks ago we noticed that the floor of the tub was lifting up and we could hear water sloshing between the liner and the tub. I called Bath fitter and told them of the problem. They set up an appointment for the next week. During that time I watched many videos on u-tube about the same problem.Most if not all were horror show stories about bad service and expensive projects to correct the problem. The tech, Chris, showed up on time and fixed the situation in less than two hours. We could not be happier with the folks at bath fitter. Very professional attitude and a job well done. This is a follow up, since after my first 1* interaction with the reception woman I was reached out to privately here by Bath Fitter to ask what was wrong & for my info. I responded with all the details and, guess what- never heard back!! I called the office when they were open again to make a Jan appt (which I did, for next week), but today the woman calls me - pretends to be nice "how are you? We have an opening tomorrow?" But when I tell her there's Covid here this week, she says she'll be back in touch for next week's schedule. I said the Covid started this past weekend, so it will be done & clear by this weekend & next week's appointment will be fine. She just says "I'll call back." I said "to confirm?" She said yes. I said "I'm confirming right now. No one's going to be sick and you can come to my designated appointment." She just said, in a solemn voice, "I'll call back". Whoever this woman is that Bath Fitter has speaking to all the clients is not only inept, but has zero sense of customer service. Total loser. I can't wait to see who she sends out- her brother?!? Let's hope the tech does a better job than this woman does ON THE PHONE (which, let's face it, isn't a hard skill, but this woman makes it seem painstakingly difficult!!) I will continue to leave 1* reviews if she continues to act this way during each interaction. It's sad Bath Fitter doesn't care enough to reach out/respond either.. again on a $5k tub!!! Extremely poor customer service for an over $7000 job. After only 20 days of being installed my shower was unable to be shut off. Eagerly reaching out to Bath Fitters in search of answers the women who answers the phone for the office swiftly instructed me that she herself was not a plumber - uninterested in listening to my concerns that this needed to be rectified ASAP they sent someone out the following day. Upon arrival they were quick to instruct me that this was not their fault even though the knob on the shower never seemed quite right. While. chatting with the men I quickly looked down at the paper work and saw that it said my name and noted next to it "very pissed off !!!! with a mad face" talk about unprofessional ! They then instructed me that the spinal inside was cracked and needed to be replaced even though when the sales man for the consultation came he instructed me everything would be looked at and changed if needed. less than a month later the spindle was cracked and they were charging an additional $180 for this. they then asked me to sign the same paperwork in which they had written a rude comment about me on. the two men were quick to leave and were very passive making it seem like I should have had a plumber come check their work. needless to say an unsatisfactory experience and over priced for the work that was done ! use a plumber instead read more

Our bathtub is termed "a floater." This is such a common occurrence that BATHFITTER has a term for it. This is the second time that we have had to call them to come fix the tub. The owner of the Warren,RI office then blamed us by stating the liner was cracked because of chemicals being poured down the drain. He is now stating the tub isn't their problem because "someone" put unauthorized silicon around the tub. Their company is the only place that has worked on the tub and I have the paperwork to prove it. I would NEVER get another Bathfitter project or work with this company again. The office didn't return phone calls or send an email as promised. I had to continually do the follow up in order to have any appointment set up. read more

Never do this business with this company. We bought our house a few years back and the prior people had bath fitters come in and complete two of their showers. About two years ago, we had them come out and put a new door and some cosmetic repairs to our shower. I have recently reached out because our floor is starting to crack, they said it's because of the cleaner I use, which is not true. I reached out for a quote and got the run around and when I finally got it, it was ridiculous, they do not stand behind there product just because I'm the second owner that should count for something. I have called and emailed for the manager to call me back and it's been a month and no one has reached out to me. I am very disappointed in the service they have provided and will never do business with them again. I guess you learn the hard way. Had a horrible experience with this location - unfortunately they take your deposit and then don't deliver what was promised. When we contacted the office to speak with someone, they were extremely rude - when we asked to speak with the manager, we were told we were already speaking with the owner - if this is how he treats his customers, he's not going to be in business for very long. I, too, agree with Jacqueline. I called two days before Thanksgiving. Here it is 6 weeks later and still no return call. This is the 2nd time in two years that I've called, and no response. Unless you're spending $10,000 on a job, they don't want to do business with you. And they tell you to "shop local". read more

About 5 years ago we contacted Bathfitters to remove our tub and install a walk in shower. the workers did a very good job and we were pleased with the installation. However it is now time that we need someone to contact us for help in replacing the gaskets for the sliding glass door. This has proven to be difficult at best. I contacted the local store ( Warren RI) that performed the installation, offered to pay for the replacement gaskets 2 months ago and have still not received a response. I then e mailed the corporate office to seek their advise on how to proceed and big surprise no response. My advice to anyone about to spend $10,000.00 or more on a bathroom renovation, avoid this company and hire a local contractor. This is what I have advised my own family and friends to do.
