As we were waiting, the lady in front of us asked if they clean the containers before refilling. She was told an emphatic YES. Well, we didn't get the same customer service. The candles were returned to us with all the black soot still there. The candles are not even filled up at the same level. Tony called today, and was told it is Christmas & they are too busy to pay attention to quality control... so much that the owner said she now has a sign in the door saying so. I am in complete shock that ANY store owner would be ok with an item looking like would leave their store. So yes, as you condescendingly stated, your product did not live up to our expectations! This wasn't our 1st time buying from them.... but it will damn sure be the last.

I love that many of the scents are named after local places and things. Magnolia Springs and Southern Sands are some of my favorite scents. They're nice, clean scents, not too sweet or musky. I also love Chilton County Peaches, which is a little sweet smelling, but perfect for summer. I even have some wax melts called Jasmine, because I want my house to smell like Jasmine, but I don't want my house to smell like Jasmine. (That actually makes perfect sense if you know that my dog's name is Jasmine.) Of course she has seasonal scents, like I Love Fall and Autumn Wreath. Every time I see Lynn set up at a craft fair, I stock up. The candles and wax melts are also sold in many of the local shops around here (see her website, which is on the Yelp page, for a list of those places), and can be purchased online as well. If you see these candles or wax melts for sale anywhere, buy some! Trust me, they're way better than the national brands. You've probably figured out by the name, they're made right here on the Alabama Gulf Coast at Bon Secour.

Fast forward to me driving down Schillinger and noticing that there's a Monet Candle Company storefront, that I'd never seen before. So I decided to go in a bring a custom project along with me! Sidebar & Preface: I'm a Volcano by Capri candle junkie. This is the candle that I buy, in bulk and forever & ever, amen. So-- i had just burned 2 of the 17oz mercury glass jar settings down to the very last drop, and I just couldn't part w/ the glass jars. So-- I took them to Monet to find a comparable scent, upcycle, AND support local during these tough times. #Winning I entered the shop, and John (owner, extraordinaire) Gave me a quick "tour de scents" and sprung into action to help me out. Although there's no comparable Volcano candle scent, the heavens parted when he showed me the Victoria's Secret "Love Spell" dupe! SOLD! Y'all don't understand-- that was my absolute favorite body lotion/body spray/everything scent in college! It's still my car scent today as Kirkland's sells the little packets (and I put them under my seats). I'm obsessed! He took my old jars, cleaned them out, and filled them with "Love Spell!" I've got 34 ounces to burn, and I'm thrilled! They burn fantastically, and the smell fills the home (I'm a stickler about that with my candles)! I was gifted a large, 3-wick Rae Dunn candle that I'm totally taking in for my next upcycle! (Doing a little to avoid the landfill) All that to say-- If it's not Volcano, it's gotta' be "Love Spell" for me. Stopped into the Yankee Candle store at Cordova Mall when they were giving members a free candle…read more The store is small but well organized, and we were able to find everything we wanted right when they opened. I picked up a vanilla coffee candle along with five others--vanilla cream brûlée, two pink sands, and two coconut beach. The manager was so helpful and even educated us on why trimming the wick matters. I also learned their candles are now made with soy, which was great to hear.
