Cashier busy on the phone entire time. Helper only helping one "looker" and I have money to spend with no one to help me. Poorly managed!

Always enjoy stopping in and getting a couple of three wick candles or some spray and always a nice selection of hand soap.

This new shop opened in the late spring 2023. It's the only Quilt store that simply a quilting shop…read morein Clovis. It has a different focus than the other sewing and quilting shops in the Fresno area. Mary Kay, the proprietor is a charming and lovely woman Very attentive to detail. The shop is in an old house. It's been converted to the store. Behind the store there is a converted garage where she has a classroom and holds classes. Check out the calendar. The calendar lists sewing days that you can sign up for, and classes with a variety of techniques for many different types of styles and interests of all types of Quilters. Now down to the Fabrics. She has a focus on Lori Holt from Riley, Blake fabric manufacturer, fresh, bright, and pretty. She also carries a number of major lines from Moda, including the collection for a cause, French general, which is sort of a romantic, antique look, and also Andover prints by laundry basket, quilts. These are things that greatly interest me and other shops in town tend to focus more on modern fabrics and modern quilting with a lot of batiks and modern prints. So I'm glad The Quilted Goat is focused on providing a different sort of inventory. In addition, The Quilted Goat carries a lot of pre-cuts, plus fat quarters if you just want to select a few little pieces to fill out your stash or sample things. She has a whole wall of notions. This is towards the back of the shop. The shop is decorated in kind of a vintage style vibe. Additionally, there are many quilts and samples of sewing on display. One of the quilts, a disappearing nine patch was beautifully displayed, and there is a class coming up on that at the end of January this year 2024 every room has something inspiring, fun, vibrant to get your quilting juices flowing. Mary Kay sends out a newsletter which you can also find on her website. In my opinion, this is the best quilting store in town.

I absolutely love Hobby Lobby. Retail therapy at its finest in terms of home decor. I do enjoy…read moredecorating the house for holidays and this is a great place to come for your indoor decor needs. Also, if I'm hosting people at my house, I'll come here to get things I need. I even enjoy the baking aisle because I do get in my baking moods! I'll buy pretty sprinkles and cupcake liners and cake accessories here. Even though this place gets super busy, I always find a parking spot quickly and it's very easy to navigate the aisles, it does not feel claustrophobic or too narrow. Lots of floor staff so if any questions arise, you're taken care of. They have amazing sales as well especially in between transitioning seasons. It's a very relaxing environment with soft music playing. They have a fabric area which is pretty vast and they have a lot of items here your crafts and project needs. It's always a treat to come here. But beware, you might fill up your cart with things that you don't necessarily need so, yes will power is of the essence here!

Fabric area employee and customer were talking about how they think other areas in town and the…read morepeople in those areas are g*etto and poor and full of non English speaking people. This conversation topic was extremely discourteous from both these people however very unprofessional from the employee. After about 10-15 min in line, I expressed concerns to the employee about about long wait time ( I made no comments about their inappropriate conversation). The customer decided to insert herself into the conversation. She said " this is why I don't like you people" ( I am Asian). Though I was at the store at opening at 9 am, this customer decided to try and give me the profound advice of getting to the store earlier. She stated "You should have come shopping earlier to avoid lines instead of being a B word." I don't expect a minimum wage employee to be inclined to deal with this but she could have called a manager or just offered to call for assistance. I did not feel comfortable being harassed by a repulsive, angry woman so I left. Fabric cutters were Terri Linn and Andr-a per Hobby Lobby manager. Customer service supervisor believes Terri Linn is the employee I had the most interaction with. Manager Linda states she can speak with employee but do nothing about the customer. I understand a manager only can say so much but to do NOTHING is ridiculous. If I went into Target and started harassing other customers and stating racist comments on top of calling other customers the B word, I am pretty sure someone would speak to me about it or tell me to leave if I do not calm down. Per Hobby Lobby website: "Honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles. Serving our employees and their families by establishing a work environment and company policies that build character, strengthen individuals, and nurture families." Hobby Lobby on Blackstone certainly does not adhere to these values. Some of the employees really need more education on basic culture studies. It's not hard, do your job, be professional and for the customer, mind your own business. She seemed to have a lot of struggles physically and mentally so pick a struggle and work on it.

As much as I love to eat. I love all things that smell good. Some might say why would I like things…read morethat are sweet but not eat them? The smell lasts longer than a taste. You can never get too full from the smell of freshly baked cookies or sugar waffle cones that reminds you of your favorite ice cream shop. The annual sale for their 3-wick candles always calls for a frenzy of aroma seeking pyromaniacs. Navigating carefully thru the sea of fragile glass. You might want to keep your little ones home for this one. The price is at its lowest and there were new scents that peaked my interest so I was eager to come in and take a whiff. The sundae bar collection has a nice collection of sweet smells and there were smells that were way off putting like pizza and ranch, honestly that thing smelled like Parmesan cheese or funky feet to me. It was giving Beanboozled Jellybeans, haha! It was nice to see all the cashiers up in front ready to expedite my purchase. They have complimentary clear gift bags with red BBW printed ribbons to tie it altogether. Nice hefty tote bags so you can walk out with your candles safely without worrying about it ripping thru their regular paper bags. BBW you have surely become top tier with the shopping experience!

Oh no they di int! AGAIN. In December I here waited in one single line for them to tell me I have…read moreto wait because there's another line that's doing pick up orders. Exsqueeze me?! I come back another time to apologize to a manager for my attitude and explain what happened. This manager says that shouldn't be the case If I waited in line and I'm next they should just be able to assist me. Even though they try to do pick ups on one computer, they can do it on any register. Come in today and again I'm told the same thing that that they can't help me and that I need to move one register over. I waited at the register who wouldn't help me, so she couldn't help anyone else until I moved. What was the point of not helping me if you still can't help the next person until I get helped? I know not to do pick up orders at fashion Fair because they want me to wait in a single line and then tell me once I get to the front that I need to go to a different cash register since it's just one step over. If that's what they want to do, no problem, AS long as there is a sign indicating such so I'm not caught off guard waiting in the wrong line.
