The only person present was a woman stocking shelves. She never asked if we needed any help, and never got out of the way when we were examining shelves near her. This gave the impression that she would rather we not be near her... or even better... just leave the store. Wife and I eventually decided on 2 candles. I approached the cashier counter and placed two items there. The same woman from above first approached the register from elsewhere in the store... doing her stocking... scanned a candle in her hand... and left to go put it on a shelf somewhere when we wanted to check out. Eventually she said, "Ready to check-out?" "Well... obviously," is what I thought, since we were clearly obviously standing at the counter with items to purchase. Finally she had time for us, the only two customers in the store. We got good prices on candles... but make a self-checkout if customer service is intended to be non-existent. Come-on Yankee Candle. It's connected with another gift shop. Honeypot has everything you need to pamper yourself and for those special birthdays and anniversary's. The owner herself makes the salt scrubs, sugar scrubs, lotions and lip balms. You can add your own custom scent or leave them unscented (for the migraine sufferers like me!). I love this option! She also has ready to go gift sets in every size or will custom make a gift set with your chosen scent. This got me so excited I had to start my holiday shopping early with a couple of gift sets :) All of the other merchandise is the store is also hand crafted by local vendors and exquisite. You can find everything from soaps to jewelry to bird houses to customer decorative signs to custom tumblers to car freshies to wooden kitchenware! The owner helped my friend and I when we stopped in and I enjoyed that she took the time to educate us on how her products worked and the differences between sugar and salt scrubs.
