As a reward for living a long time, my hearing has diminished. Based on a hearing test, hearing…read moreaids were becoming a necessity. I went to AudioNova on the advice of my primary care doctor. I'm glad I did. The care I received in this office was outstanding. Friendly office staff and an excellent technician, who really knows her stuff, led me to choose the Phonak Infiniti model. The technician spent a lot of time reviewing options before we chose this model. She told me about the previous model and the improvements they made with this release. Even though I could have gotten the previous model for no out of pocket, I chose the current model, with a new chip, for a reasonable out of pocket price. The result has been great. The hearing aids are virtually invisible, Bluetooth enabled, charge on my nightstand (no batteries!) and have really helped my hearing. TV volume is down, my reliance on subtitles is greatly diminished, my hearing in crowded places is enhanced and, on my daily walks, I've noticed I pick up what passers by are actually saying, not a garbled mess. AudioNova seems to take after the sale service seriously. I had a follow up to fine-tune sound amplification, I'm tasked with bringing them in every four months for cleaning and the office has a daily drop-in hour for questions, adjustments and the like. I can heartily recommend AudioNova if you, like me, want to enhance your audio acuity.

I brought my 92 year old Mom , who has some degree of dementia, to them. Mom had lost 2 pair of…read morehearing aids, we got from another business, that sold through our Ear Nose Throat Dr. The 1st pair of hearing aids cost $8,000. Luckily Moms great insurance had paid for them. Costco was so much more affordable, without insurance. The price was a huge factor for going there. The service was good. The service did not include the hours of training Mom was given at the Drs establishment, but Mom did not remember her training anyway. We just wanted a good pair of hearing aids at a cost we could afford. I was given all the information I needed to figure it out myself, from the manual, and a utube site provided to me. Our Costco Rep set all the settings for Mom, so we did not have to touch them. I brought Mom in to Costco a few weeks later, at the end of a busy day for them. We didn't have an appt , but Mom was putting the hearing aids in, and inadvertently pushing the control buttons when she was doing it. I was exasperated with her by the time we got to Costco. It's hard to be a caretaker with someone with dementia. I had had a long day myself. We got to Costco, and our assigned Rep said, it was closing, we might have to make an appt. But she took Moms hearing aids and said she could disable the buttons, so Mom coukd not inadvertantly change them. While she was off doing that, a hearing aid student that was sitting there, started answering Moms questions. This student knew exactly what to say to Mom, and handled my Mom in such a compassionate, and wise way! I could have just hugged her! Mom, who blamed everything she couldn't hear, or that annoyed her with the hearing aids, was listening with interest. She basically told Mom, she needed to make sure that the person who was talking to her, knew that she was wearing hearing aids, and to look at her, while they are talking. Moms biggest issue, is hiding the fact she is wearing aids. This student instinctively seemed to know that. She explained the importance of informing Moms listeners knowing she had hearing aids. She also gave other advise, in such an honest but compassionate, way, I could have hugged her again. Mom walked away happy. I walked away happy, that our original saleswoman had taken the time to disable the hearing aids. Our original saleswomen also gave me some other valuable information about the aids. The student learning had handled Mom, brilliantly, and with great insight, and compassion. I give a big A+ to this hearing center!

It helped so much that I saw a post on Facebook from Hear.com and I responded to it and they called me and very kindly explained everything to me about the process they have, like 45 day trial, their financing options from 1 year same as cash to payments for 5 years with paying interest, which was what I needed. They explained that hearing aids have 3 different price ranges depending on what you need and what you choose. They found the closest office to me that they contract with at Hear USA in Puyallup! I had my first appt on Friday April 26. Renae confirms my appts with me the day before and she is wonderful to talk to and excellent at keeping everything flowing smoothly there, and the audiologist Edward Steen, is so very knowledgeable, thorough and caring. The hearing test was much more thorough than one I had a couple of years earlier at a different hearing specialist office. After I chose the color of my hearing aid, he explained my other options. He programmed my prescription on his computer into the test hearing aids, and he put them in, and WOW, I love them. I did not want to leave the office without them! Anyway they ordered mine in the color I wanted, and we made an appt for me to come back on May 1st, to pick them up! He taught me how to put them in and set up the prescription for them on his computer. Then we loaded a program on my phone where I can make temporary adjustments to them, depending on my surroundings. I ordered the ones with rechargeable batteries, so I take them out at night and plug them into their little charger and they charge up in 3 hours and lasts 18 hours! I love them! I go back on the 8th to check how they and I are doing! I get a total of 5 appts over the next 3 years, for adjustments and help if I need them! What an outstanding experience this has been! I am so happy I can hear my husband just fine now, and many other sounds I had been missing! Thank you so much to Courtney at Hear.com, and to Renae and Audiologist Edward Steen for all your great help and teaching me so much! Blessings of much success and great health to you all, always!
