Baba's Falafel - Baba's falafel cone

Baba's Falafel

Capitol Hill, Southwest

Babas falafel is where it's at! As a food truck lover, I get super stoked when I come across one…read moreI've never heard of. So when I saw Baba's at the South Denver Beer Fest I knew I just had to try it. They had a limited menu going on but it works, I got the falafel cone and they asked if I wanted it regular or spicy and I went with spicy. It was up in a few minutes and while they were making it, I chatted with the guy and girl running the truck. We talked all things food and social media and they even have me some suggestions on where to find legit middle eastern food in the area (excluding their truck of course) , superfriendly folks. And the falafel cone? Omg, it was an instant mouthgasm in the form of a cone! The falafels had perfect consistency and flavor and the tahini was smooth and rich. They made it spicy and it had just enough spice to accent the flavors but not overtake it. I was a sad panda when I finished it. If you see them around, definitely check it out and get some balls in your mouth!!

Only tried them once and already love it. First, it's all vegan! And even if you aren't, it doesn't…read morematter; it's just damn good food. Their falafel is excellent--very flavorful and delicious. And they have come up with some very inventive ways to use it. For example, they have created a falafeldilla and nachos, both using hummus & falafel. I got the "nachos," and the spicy sauce they use is soooo good. Plus, the people are nice & friendly, which is always important. I will definitely be paying them another visit in the near future. I can see me becoming a regular customer. If you'd like to know where to find them, check out their website for their schedule.

Adobo Food Truck - Chicken Adobo Bowl

Finally got to try Adobo Food Truck! They came to my work a couple times and ordered the green…read morechili fries both times. The second time I got it with their carnitas and it was really so good! It was good without meat as well! We also tried their churros which did not disappoint. My coworker had their pork belly tacos and he really enjoyed them, however, they are messy! My boyfriend wanted to try more of their food, but unfortunately when he went for lunch they had run out of a lot of their menu and was left getting carne asada. He was pretty disappointed. The guy helping was really nice otherwise. I'll definitely try them again if they come back, or if I see them around.

I would not recommend this place for wedding catering. It's clear this restaurant doesn't know how…read moreto do large events because it took a team of 7-9 people a good 1.5 hours to serve three simple dishes which consisted of a chicken adobo over rice, pork over rice, and some curry; the last table at the wedding wasn't served their food until 8:40 PM. That is frankly unacceptable. If the team assembled themselves in an assembly line fashion all the food would have been served in 30 min max. Anyone with some common sense would do the following: have one person scoop the rice, have another person add the protein, and then a final person put the lobster tails on. The team was completely unorganized and were delivering 4-5 plates to tables at a time while others at the table had to wait another 10 min for their food. Besides that, the portions were small and the food wasn't even that tasty; the rice lacked flavor and their specialty, the adobo, was incredibly bland. Finally the lobster tails that were served were of poor quality as it seemed like they were not fresh. Anyone who is catering a wedding is much better served by finding a different caterer, one that is more organized and delivers better food. No one should ever have to go to a wedding to eat crappy food that isn't filling.
