I just had my first visit here and I'm so pleased at how smooth it went. At first i was like "this…read moreis weird" because he is young and longer haired and has one exam room. However now I'm realizing the benefit of having a doctor who has the time to ask you a bunch of questions and he actually listens to the answer. Getting referrals and scripts was really easy, which is something i used to have trouble with from my previous PD. I'm really so happy with my experience there.

I have been seeing Doctor Elliott for a year now and he is, hands down, the most compassionate…read moredoctor I have ever encountered. Every time I go in, he takes his time, asks me lots of questions and really cares for his patients. I cannot say enough good things about this doc. If you are looking for a primary care doctor, look no further. Also, he has an online portal system that is very handy and convenient where you can make appointments, pay bills and access your records. Very valuable if you are seeing multiple specialists who need records and info.

In my previous review, I mentioned Dr. Felstead being a wonderful doctor. While that probably…read moreremains true today, I am less than pleased with the office staff. After remaining on hold for nearly 15 minutes, I was greeted before asking to schedule an appointment with Dr. Felstead. I explained to the girl (I think her name was Michelle) that I needed to make an appointment but I would probably be considered a new patient. I have been out of state for the past few years trying to help a sick relative. She advised me that my account was inactive and placed me on hold. When she came back to the line, she tells me that in 2007 I told the staff I was going to be seeing a new doctor and they can no longer see me. I told her that was not the case. I explained that I moved to Texas to help family out and that I never transferred care or told their staff that I was doing so. I pleaded with her to try to schedule an appointment. After several minutes of pleading and arguing, she placed me on hold again to speak with the office manager. When she came back on the line she told me that I had 3 cancellations and per their policy, Dr. Felstead cannot see me. I explained that the "cancellations/reschedules" happened more than 5 years ago. She just kept repeating "that's our policy." I asked to speak with the office manager but was not allowed to speak to her. I asked if there was any way for them to ask Dr. Felstead if he would see me. She just kept telling me I broke their policy and would not be seen. When asked if Dr. Felstead could give me a referral to another PCP, she told me they won't refer to other PCP's. I ended the phone calls in tears-this was truly surprising and upsetting. And if I had been able to see the doctor, he would have told me my blood pressure is through the roof. I trust Dr. Felstead and value his medical opinion. It's so difficult to find a great doctor which is why I wanted a referral if I could not see him. My updated review only contains 2 stars because having a good doctor is not worth having to deal with a staff who's falling apart, arguing with patients and who lacks sympathy or compassion.

He always leaves us with a smile on our face and the medical advice and any necessary follow ups. Almost all the doctors at Primary Care are amazing, caring and thorough. They encourage you to call and ask for medical assistance and/or another appointment. They are kind and compassionate and I only had a problem with one resident, but that in no way sway my high opinion of the quality of their staff and doctors and their residence. My family and I have been through so many doctors over the years and until primary care of Western New York had forgotten that a compassionate bedside manner is an important part of healing and encouraging you to take your health seriously. Thank you Primary Care of Western new York, mostly to the Union Road location but have several locations which are also wonderful.

If your pharmacy has an issue or question for dr. bassig- good luck! You will be doing their job for them, for days, and become the middle man between the pharmacy and doctors office and have to make multiple phone calls repeatedly on their behalf, because they will refuse to call like they're supposed to for whatever reason.. His family runs the front office and it's very evident. It is unorganized and unprofessional. At one point they were unwilling to fill scripts (medication I'm required to take daily) due to a small balance, which is unethical and not allowed. My scripts were only filled at this point after threatening to report them for unethical practices. 0/10- would not recommend to absolutely anyone!!

People don't usually look forward to going to the doctors office, but they ease any anxiety I've had.

Numerous times he has sent prescriptions for my wife without being seen for various issues. More importantly my wife currently suffers from high blood pressure. Now he originally diagnosed the issue and prescribed medication, but an emergency scare had my wife taken to immediate care where they increased her dosage to double what Kawar originally prescribed. Now my wife is in an emergency situation, she needs her medication refilled, Kawar is not returning her calls or voicemails and the emergency response "Dr" was very disrespectful to my wife and refused to help her. His response was "you should have called yesterday". Very unprofessional in my opinion. Patients NEED to be able to trust and rely on medical personnel in emergency situations if anyone. Very disappointing, and I have been trying to persuade my wife into looking for a different primary care for years. This needs to be addressed.
