My experience at Bass Pro Shops was a solid 10/10. We decided to come here after receiving terrible service at another store, and I'm so glad we did. We initially waited in line to get more information about a firearm and ammo. While browsing, Xavier came over to assist us. He was great. He took his time, was very patient, and clearly knew what he was talking about. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and made the entire process easy to understand. We walked away as happy customers. I even told him he provided some of the best customer service I've experienced and that I would recommend him to anyone in the area. Since I don't know any people here, consider this my recommendation... GO SEE XAVIER. He's patient, kind, knowledgeable, and makes you feel like you're the only customer in front of him, even when others are waiting. That kind of service really stands out. read more

While in a crunch the shooting sports department stepped up and got my scope, mounted and leveled in my rifle bore sited before my Hunt that following evening! I drive 30 minutes to get to this store and the selection never disappoints. While the apparel is a bit pricey, that's to be expected these days. They have awesome deals on rod and reel combos and bait and tackle. Overall, a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. read more

Nothing about this place is professional or efficient. Add 20 minutes to your shopping time because one checkout is open. The half dozen cashiers standing to the side will only snap at you if you tell them to open another lane. read more

I admit that the store has a vast selection of items however, they more expensive than other stores. On my recent visit I ask for "price matching". They will find an excuse not to match a price. From "we do not match sale prices" to "it must be in stock locally". I avoid this store as I have never had a good "vibe". I go to Academy first, usually they are less expensive and have no problem matching anything. ONLY GO HERE AS A LAST RESORT! read more

Don't come here for the food. It's a great bar to hang out in between shopping breaks. The bar is stunning and absolutely unique. The bar stools are styled like fish fighting chairs. The kind you use for marlin fishing. Gorgeous salt water tank in the center of the bar. It is the most beautiful bar in south Texas. Food is mundane though. Only negative is that the bowling alley is in the bar. Great if you have kiddos but annoying if you're on a date. Conversely, if your kids are older, you can leave them in the bowling alley having a blast while you shop for your fishing and hunting supplies. read more

Extremely slow service at the firearms counter and at the registers. On a Monday a 2:00 pm.

My mako is messing up again trailer is junk. I put the mako in reverse it goes forward talk to two different people in the service department told them I had it for a year and a half and both of their comments were has it always gone forwards when you put it in reverse. That's when I made the decision to take it to Bill at cougar marine even though it was under warranty at bass pro I would rather pay than deal with those guys. My husband and I went in during the week with the hopes of purchasing a new firearm. The guy promised us they would get a shipment in on Saturday and that he would call us. We ended calling them and they said the shipment would be in on Sunday instead . Plus the guy who would be there wasn't even working. Sunday came along and now they said the shipment that came in doesn't have the model we were waiting on. In addition, we would have to come in Monday through Friday between 10-5:30 to special order it. We are working people who don't have that kind of cushy schedule! So glad we purchased it elsewhere . If you're into any type of hunting fishing or outdoor sport Bass Pro shop is heaven for you. It has something for everyone! Me being a girl can say that I love coming here. So does my 3 year old. We've never even walked around the entire store because it is so huge! And a plus is the beautiful scenic bowling alley next door and their restaurant. From ice cream to sweets and kettle corn to Mahi burgers and alligator bites this place has it all. I wouldn't even call it a store it's more like a mall. I can honestly say that I have never been so impressed with a company who handled this situation like they did. I took my daughter to see Santa and there was some confusion on the wait time and time passes. when I realized that we didn't have to wait in the line, We were already one of the next up to see Santa. When the staff found out that I had waited the entire time their response was amazing. I didn't want anything other than for my little girl to see Santa and they made it extra special for both her and myself!! Thank you so much for giving her that memory!!
