Sherbourne Street? Listen, I saw a "Soft Opening" sign at 563 Danforth, and like a Yelp Elite to a…read morenew experience, I walked right in to warm up from the rain. The place is bright and oh so clean! Spotless is a word I would rarely apply to restaurants and such, but this place was spotless. Service was efficient and quick. I got a "Russian Chocolate Tale" and an Americano. The coffee was good, a sort of standard blend, not bitter, smooth. The Tale was chocolate mousse on top of a chocolate cookie covered by a layer of vanilla-ish mousse-ish and some pink stuff. (Can you tell I'm not a desserts expert?) Both mousses were delicate and not too sweet, but I got nothing from the outer pink layer. Their selection is an amazing array of standard Western European pastries and desserts. And a Dubai chocolate bar in the $30 adjacent area if you feel like being trendy. Overall, another fine addition to the many great bakeries and dessert places on the Danforth.

I don't remember his name but I'll always remember him running down the Danforth yelling "Ma'am! You forgot this!" and there in his hand was my hair clip which had rolled under the table. They get 5 stars for having staff willing to go waaaaay outside their job duties to take care of customers!

Huge variety of tasty Greek treats - a must visit!…read more Came on Easter weekend and the place was packed to the brim! Once you get in, walk straight to get yourself a ticket since they call the numbers to serve people. The spot is HUGE with lots of variety of cakes, sweets, pastries, gelato, pastas, sauces, and so much more! The man helping us behind the counter was great and we got some delicious treats. Here's what we got: Cannoli 5/5 - MUST GET. Best thing we had there. It was so fresh and well rounded in flavour. Kataifi 5/5 - Super crispy and sweet! Another must get. Baklava 4/5 - Sticky and sweet. But I thought it was tad too sweet for my liking. Touloumbes 4/5 - This was good and great for sharing but I thought it lacked a little crunch to the exterior. Gelato 5/5 - Thought this gelato was great! Especially the strawberry cheesecake and nutella! Smooth, velvety and delicious. Overall, the variety here is so big that I can't wait to try other options here!

Walking into their section on the right side feels like stepping into a baklava wonderland, filled with beautifully layered, syrupy pastries and a wide range of traditional sweets. There is also a wonderful selection of cream-filled sponge cakes that are rich yet light, making them very enjoyable. The refrigerated section is equally enticing, offering Middle Eastern favourites such as galaktoboureko and loukoumades, alongside elegant French pastries like mille-feuille and éclairs. Beyond the desserts, the shop also carries a thoughtfully curated selection of cheeses and European packaged goods, including coffee, spices, and pastas. Everything is well presented and inviting. The overall atmosphere is warm, charming, and almost magical, honestly giving me the same kind of delightful feeling as meeting someone special for the first time!

The butter tart came in the traditional variety and it was probably my favorite traditional tart that I've had. Another spot here in town has my favorite tarts but this was definitely my favorite traditional one. 5 stars! This was our first time trying the Nanaimo bar, so we weren't sure what to expect. My first bite revealed a complex marriage of flavors and textures all coming together in harmony to create a delicious dessert that is sweet but harmonious in flavor and texture. It was better tasting than it looks by far, we were pleasantly surprised. The chocolate crunch on top to get to the soft creamy middle, to get the the nut based crust was such an amazing contrast in textures too!! 5 star dessert for sure. The lemon tart was okay, I've had better, it just wasn't giving / serving. This was a 3 star dessert. The blueberry cheesecake was soft, the crust was great, and the blueberry topping was yummy too. 4 star dessert! The ambiance here was very simple, a takeout bakery. The service, not sure if I have an opinion since I tried to call 5 times and each time they either picked up and couldn't hear me or they picked up and their fax machine came on and I couldn't hear than hahaha.
