It's fun, quirky, and filled with delicious goodies -- a great place to get coffee and tea, with the added bonus of sweet treats! I love the rotation of seasonal drinks, and the baked goods are a small but mighty selection of scones, muffins, cookies, brioche cinnamon rolls (my favorite!), and other yummy baked deliciousness! Staff are friendly and helpful in offering options -- for example, I needed some dairy free milk choices. The barista also offered great recommendations with the seasonal drinks. Pricing is really reasonable... which allows you to indulge in some additional baked goods or one of their fun merchandise items like homemade dog treats, t-shirts, mugs, etc. I also like that they have a small shelf of books, records, and games if you want a little BFF time - with your bestie or for just yourself! I enjoy stopping in for refreshments and a little break from shopping on Lindbergh, or getting something to go to enjoy at home. The vibe is relaxed, and easy-going, and marching to the beat of its own drum. You gotta love places like this! There is plenty of parking, and the lot is easy to get in and out of. Just watch your step at the doorway entry/exit. It's got a slight incline - so watch your step. Seating is limited, but it seems to work, because there is a steady "to go" crowd that doesn't take up the tables. I love this cool spot in South County! It's local, and I love that over bigger, more expensive alternatives. I've been thinking a lot about those cinnamon rolls. So, I need another visit!

Today, I literally had to leave because when I walked in, there was no one behind the counter, I stood there for a few minutes until someone finally came out out of the back section, and then I assume, went behind the counter to tell the worker that I was waiting. When the worker came out, she had a bunch of cookies in her hands that she then had to proceed to fold and put into a bag and then she started making the coffee of two people that were sitting at the counter while I was still just standing there. She did acknowledge me, which I appreciate, but at that point, I have been standing there for at least five minutes and I still hadn't ordered my coffee. I told her that I had to leave because I had to get to work and went to Starbucks instead, which I really didn't want to do. But this has been a pattern with this place- either they're not hiring enough staff, the staff that they have is overwhelmed or something is going on. I've been coming here for almost a year- and I definitely would prefer to patronize a local Shop, but not if it's gonna take five minutes to even just get my order taken when I am literally the only person in line. Also, I wanna add, I literally used to come here three times a week. This is not a new experience, but this one has really taken it over the top. Like I said, I want to support a local coffee shop, and I want to like this place, but particularly in the morning when people are on their way to work, this type of delay is totally unacceptable. I'm not blaming the worker, I'm blaming whoever's doing the scheduling.

Their coffee is meh, they don't have all the food options, and they're energy drink options are lacking, and come on 7Brew where if your app!! This is why I love Scooters over 7Brew and Starbucks. Here's few reasons why I didn't give them 5 . More like 3.5 . 1. The Lindbergh location has a small window of how you can even get to them. Especially if you're coming from Sunset Hills. It's a whole loop around deal and if you miss that Lindbergh entrance then boi guess what.....go all the way around. 2. I placed my order on the app (ahead of time). I got there on a Monday afternoon, about 5:30. 2 cars were already at the window. And I can't figure out for the life of me why it took me 20 minutes to get my drink. This is not the first time either. I didn't pay attention to the first car so don't know what they got. The guy in front of me had one drink....me one drink. Why does it take that long? Is it just one person always working there? Regardless, I find it annoying that it takes me that long to get a drink. Also the fact that they never apologized for the long wait is mind blowing. I probably wouldn't have a giant issue if the workers would simply apologize just to make the customer feel better about the wait. I do however like to give major kudos for my amazing drink. I got the Lavender Ice Berry Sugar Free Redbull Infusion. And OMG.......the topping and the foam mixed with the drink reminded me of pink pop rocks. It by far surpassed my expectations and I wished it didn't cost me $8 bc I would probably want to get it every day. It is seriously so good

I went with two friends on a Sunday at 9am and the whole experience felt rushed from the beginning. I do think this was partly because you do not have a dedicated server which sounds nice in theory. We were asked if we were ready to order multiple times, by multiple people in just a few minutes. My friend was then asked if they could clear her plate at least 10 times because she was not actively eating. By the last time it was almost comical and she ended up apologizing to the server and asked for a few more minutes as she is a slower eater and takes breaks. Dedicated sections for servers would go a long way here.

The restaurant was packed and had a line (for good reason)! Once seated, our server checked on us frequently and listed their specials soundly. I opted for the sandwich special of the day, the Monte cristo, and my partner got one of the Benedict's. We split the special waffles of the day, the French toast waffle. We also both got a good drink with our meal. The Monte Cristo was perfectly sweet and savory. Incredible potion sizing for the price and a delicious plate. The French toast waffle was insane. Such a perfect sweet treat to finish our meal!

I personally prefer my drinks on the sweeter side, so I would have loved a little more syrup in both of the drinks we tried today, but they were still really good! The few 2-person tables were full, so we ultimately ended up sitting at a 6-top even though there were only two of us. Overall, such a cute little find and definitely somewhere I'd come back too

But why would you want to eat food from a coffee shop? I've been visiting coffee shops on the reg for the past several weeks, and I've repeatedly made the mistake of ordering breakfast sandwiches, burritos and what have you. I have no one to blame for this but myself. I knew going in that it wasn't a good idea. I just couldn't help myself. This must be how people end up on drugs. There was a race going on nearby, when I visited 23 West yesterday. I wasn't involved, though I was there in a running capacity. My running group just happened to be meeting there. We ran a few miles in the neighborhood before our visit. By the time we got there, there was quite a crowd. The contrast between the sweaty, disheveled runners and the sleek, modern decor was striking. This place has an interior like some showroom where you're pressured into taking out a high-interest loan to purchase jewelry of questionable provenance. Are they in cahoots with the bank next door? Both buildings, I notice, have a similar facade. 23 West is painted the same shade of gray as a post-McPlayPlace-era McDonald's, when they started trying to look like a Chipotle. Some girls on apps prefer it if you didn't take them to get coffee. It's not expensive enough. If you can get one to agree to such a date, you might consider bringing them here. It's classy. The coffee is good too. I went with the Raspberry Cheesecake Cold Brew, a seasonal item. It was magnificent. I ordered mine to-go, so I could enjoy it at the tables out front, and in case 12 showed up. They give it to you in a tall plastic cup with no lid, filled to the point where it's nearly impossible to carry without spilling, presumably so you can sample the delicious cheesecake-like froth and probably get a little bit of it in your mustache. You can't really sip it with a straw. The coffee itself is surprisingly robust, given the depth of the raspberry flavor. It's an odd idea for a drink, and not something I'd usually order, but the execution was on point. I also went with a Cherry Almond Scone. I had to eat something, for emotional reasons, and it looked interesting. I'm no expert on scones, but I enjoyed it. It may have been the most dense baked good I've ever eaten, to the point where it could probably be used as a weapon, in a pinch. I know it's supposed to be similar to a biscuit and that in England, where they're consumed on the reg, a biscuit is known as a cookie (why?). It's a lot dryer than even the biscuits at a Lee's Famous Recipe, but intentionally so, I guess because it's designed to be eaten with a beverage. A hot beverage is probably ideal, but I made it work with a cold brew. It's the kind of thing you don't realize until after the fact. Next time I'll know. If and when I do return, I'll be dressed as a magician, possibly with a young lady in tow.
