Baskin-Robbins - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Lathrop, California

Summer is here and it's hot! This usually equates to grouchy teenagers working in ice cream parlors! And this Baskin Robbins is no exception. My 3-year-old was so excited to be going to an "ice cream restaurant" for the first time. I wanted everything to be perfect for him. The grouchy teen was just about to place my son's chocolate scoop on a broken, crumbled-at-the-top cone when I asked her if she would get a non-broken cone. There went the smiles, pleasantries and customer service. She stomped across to the other cone case, inspected the cone for a good 5 seconds (really not necessary but I guess she wanted to show me how ridiculous it was for me to request a non-broken cone), she then placed the scoop on the cone and slammed the freezer shut. Now was that really necessary? Thank goodness my son was oblivious to her attitude. Anyway, the ice cream was tasty as usual. It's no Loard's or Cold Stone, but on a hot day (105 degrees) ice cream is ice cream! read more

Went here after the park to get ice cream for the kids. The lady scoops one ice cream then drops the scooper on the ground. She then proceeds to put it back with the other scoopers. I replied that that was disgusting and she just went on. She asked what the next ice cream was. I told her and asked her to not use the scooper she picked off the floor. As she was about to ring us up, I asked if there was a manager. She said no and told me " If it makes you feel better there is sanitizer in the water" no dummy it doesn't. I would have just left but my kids had been waiting in the long slow line and were looking forward to this. I don't even want them to eat it but, at this point it is what it is. I don't care if there is sanitizer in the water. Common sense would tell you that when dealing with food, if something falls on the floor go wash it in a sink before you put it back. I will never go to this location again. If your workers think that this is ok then they should be fired. Absolutely disgusting behavior for a place that serves ice cream. read more

I love this place but management is a little shakey. Known a few people who have had some run ins with them. Employees are always great and very quick, specially when the heat waves hit and a linen is out the door. Ice cream prices aren't too bad. The price of a small ice cream cake is totally ridiculous! Seriously! You can buy the best kind of premium ice cream and make our own cake literally a quarter of what it would to buy one. Fortunately I'm one of the small few that knows how to smear ice cream into a pan and add toppings for a cake. read more

yummy cherry jubilee ice cream. rocky road was very icy, but not bad. employees were friendly enough and not a long line

Three stars cause ice cream is ice cream and it taste good. However, the workers are rude. The customer service really makes or breaks your visit. read more

Terrible I ordered a warm cookie sandwich and it was cold it's supposed to be warm it's in the name. The employe that was giving me this gave it to me wasn't the nicest person she had an attitude. read more

Very friendly staff. They always offer samples and a smile. Plan to go when you have extra time store gets pretty busy

I came on a Monday at 9:55pm and they close at 10pm and the doors was locked and the lady didn't open the door. This place suck!

They only had one type of water based ice cream. Quite disappointing. Won't be returning.

Love the ice cream and this BR is usually pretty clean. Just an FYI they close at 9:50pm, not 10pm as advertised. The employees watched us walk up and try to open the doors at 9:50 and kept sweeping. Thanks! read more

This place is dirty and they don't have a clue of what there doing!!! You order ice cream (it was 9:57pm) before they close, you sit down, now it's 10:03pm, and they kick you out, literally!!!! Don't say shit to you when you sit down, just get out!!! Horrible service, and the owner ain't doing there best of monitoring this place!!! I did say it was dirty?? When I was leaving I looked at the glass and floor, freaking filthy!!! read more

I had a major craving for some soft serve ice cream the other night and we live in the boonies so of course there's nothing around. Baskin-Robbbins is the closest ice cream place although its 10 miles away and I managed to talk my b/f into taking me. So I get there thinking that I'm just gonna get an ice cream and then I see that they have soft serve!! Hallelujah! They had 3 or 4 flavors but I got my favorite...vanilla. Why fuck up a good thing with all those artificial fruity flavorings right? Anyways, it was sooo good! Thick and creamy....yum. Way better than frozen yogurt although it's not non-fat. Oh well, at this point, non-fat isn't gonna help me much. LOL read more

Went in July around 6... two young (high school) girls were running like chickens with heads cut off. They answered the phone before dealing with customers in long line... and didnt put phone on hold... I held an ice cream cake for ten minutes to be rung up.... Not anyones fault but could have used a better system or another person helping out... Milkshakes were enough to crash the line and service... read more

This is my favourite place to hang out with my frnd whenever i come from canada ,amazing service and hospitality too!

Went there at 9:20 pm , doors were locked and the employees were in there serving someone but wouldn't let us in because they had already closed up and the were supposed to be open until 10. Won't ever go back to that store again. read more

We were very disappointed in this Baskin Robbins. As soon as we walked in I noticed a customer had brought a dog into the store and had it right at the counter. We asked for a two scoop sundae. The ice cream we selected was nearly empty and instead of opening another tub of ice cream the worker scraped the bottom of the empty tub and came up with about 1 1/4 scoops. When I questioned her about two full scoops she literally ignored us. I again questioned her about two full scoops for a two scoop sundae she told ice cream is not sold by the scoop but by weight. I then asked her to weigh the ice cream and she told the wife and I our half full cup weighed over 40 oz. We had watched her and know she did not weigh it at all. This is our first and last visit to this store. The store was also very dirty. We are senior citizens and visit Baskin Robbins stores at least twice a week. This is definitely the worst experience we have ever had at a Baskin Robbins. read more

Great place for family to get some ice cream. Staff is friendly, large dinning area that is clean. Huge selection of ice cream to choose from. read more

Baskin Robbins has lost customer service and stopped caring what their business looks like. The place always looks old and the staff always stand around and do not clean when they have the chance. They never smile and make you feel like you are a bother to them. The ice cream is ok, sometimes they are out of flavors. Over all we are in and out. My daughter asked for a sample and the lady clearly ignored her so I asked for her, she didn't respond just gave her the sample. My daughter thanked her and kept looking and her response was, so do you want it or not. So we left lol. read more

Went tonight to get a 31 below and pretty disappointed when the kid behind the counter told me the machine wad already cleaned and turned off. It was barely 8pm and they are open till 10pm. How much sense does that make!? This isn't the first time this has happened either. read more

My husband and I went there and I ordered a strawberry parfait and the girl that made it dropped in on the floor the lid came off she stuck another lid on and tried to give it to me and after my husband told her no we wasn't taking that one she made another one but it was completely wrong and my husband ordered a 31 below it should've had Oreos in it but all that was in it was crumbs we will not be going back there anymore read more

Seriously done 3 strikes and your out. This place is the worse. Two young girls working both soooo rude I couldn't believe it! My husband, my son, and myself were standing waiting to be waited on for over 7 minutes, we were about to walk out and one of the girls finally asked if we were ready. I stated yes and I started to give her my order and she walked away and started talking to the other girl! Seriously! Then came back and said "okay what was that". Wow! We order my husband ordered a brownie (ice cream, brownie, whip cream, hot chocolate, with a cherry on top.) well that is not what he got. He got a brownie and ice cream with a splash of hot chocolate he was like ummmm where's my whip cream and cherry and other toppings she had stated that's all that come with it. No no it doesn't your just being lazy and want to talk to your co worker and not serve us! Will be going to ghirardellis for now on! read more

I went here the other day and had an awesome experience. The young man Sam was AMAZING!! He went beyond my expectations. He went out of his way to make me feel welcome and feel comfortable. Very enthusiastic employee with great manners!! He definitely made my visit at Baskin Robbins a great experience!! read more

LOVE this place. Very friendly staff and the new remodeling looks great!! The cappuccino blasts are definitely worth a try and I always like to sample the flavor of the month! read more

Yeah now they are measuring their ice cream by weight...lol I saw this at frozen yogurt places but now baskin robbins...Hmmm then you should state this.. I asked for a regular scoop yet I was given a kids scoop and was told this is how it is.... really???? Yep sorry you lost my business. I love supporting my local businesses but this is the 3rd strike with this place!!! read more

I visited this Baskin-Robbins and ordered a mocha blast that was made within a minute and it tasted great. Overall excellent service and an excellent drink. read more

Wish I could give less than 1 star but I did leave with a mocha blast this time. Often I just walk out with nothing because of the speed and attitude of the employees. They're rude. Barely make any attempt to provide you with a quality experience. If they are so miserable they should find a different job. Maybe something not in retail/service or customer service based. Not surprised they don't wear name tags. I know if they did I would mention the young lady working on 9/3/16 around 2pm. She needs proper training. read more

The sundaes and chocolate are good, but they refuse to provide umbrellas for the outdoor seating, which is horrible in 100 degree heat.
