It feels wrong to write a bad review on Baskin - Robbins, but the service was so poor that I had to say something. My wife wanted some BR ice cream and went by the local spot. I didn't want to leave my Yorkie in the car (It was 90 degrees) so had her under my arm. (See attached picture) I walked in and the "girls" started to panic! They asked me to take it out, so left her in the car. I was picking up a quart so no big deal. The one girl, Payton, said she didn't want to wait on me. The shift mgr, Jaiden, was so thrown by this encounter, she went to the back to call someone. I was the only one left waiting, and of course Payton didn't want to wait on me. she hid around the corner hanging on Jaiden and would serve me. I was then told to leave!! I asked for the managers name and number and they said they couldn't give that out. I get these girls don't have much life experience, but don't be rude, and choose to not serve the customer. She told the employees that I was out of luck as she would not honor it. I take my grandchildren almost every Friday afternoon but I won't be taking them there any longer. Do you know what the other chains have that Baskin Robbins does not? Higher prices. I just love that I can go to Baskin Robbins & get a cone for $1.50. BR holds good memories in general. In college, I used to get a scoop everyday on the way to class (instead of lunch). On Sundays, my parents used to get us a cone if we went to the Sunday evening Church service... that's 2x in one day--we deserved it! I love that they haven't changed too much through the years. A new logo, a few new additions, but still 31 flavors. The best flavor is Peanut butter & Chocolate. You need to try this because nobody has made this better than Baskin Robbins - they use huge chunks of peanut butter in chocolate ice cream. Ben & Jerry came close with their Peanut Butter Cup flavor... except they used candy instead of plain old peanut butter. Don't they know the science has already been perfected!? I really like Basking Robbins. I have to watch myself or I will blow up like a balloon because I would go there every day. They have truly wonderful icecream. My all time favorite is Gold Medal Ribbon. What's not to like about Vanilla and Chocolate icecream with a caramel swirl? Yep, that's good. I also like their monthly special flavors, like Love Potion #19. Give them a try for something really different and fun. This location is conveniently located by many of the places I like to go in Kingwood. The staff is always really nice. since the flood, kingwood lost Marble Slab. So we have been going to BR for our ice cream fix. We do look forward to the months ending in 31. We will go out of our way on these days for discounted cones. However we learned this franchise is no longer supporting the discount. Ok great. We wont go any more. I can get gelato from COCOs, and subpar icecream from subzero, or if desperate cold stone. We usually go about 3 times a month with 5 people and 30ish bucks each time, plus tip. But not anymore. 20 minutes ago Went in today greeted by two individuals who seemed like they hated their jobs. No smile, no basic friendly customer service. We ordered our ice cream with the girl who had a look on her face that we were annoying her. After we got our stuff I realized I didn't get my mint choc chip, I got choc chip. I went to the girl and told her, she very rudely told me they didn't have it. So, I just stood there. Then the other girl yelled over her and told me I didn't ask for that flavor. I told her I only order that flavor. She said, well what do you want. I told her, and she handed it to me. Nothing...just a cold stare. So I said you know you could say thank you or smile. She then raised her voice at me and told me it is not her job to smile if she doesn't want to and walked away. . I paid $20.00 for 3 kids and myself to have ice cream. What a terrible experience. First and last time here. My 3 year old daughter likes sprinkles, and I asked for a tiny amount of sprinkles- just enough for her to know she had them. For less than a teaspoon, I was charged $.87. It's not the money- my problem was not being told in advance that it was extra, and the extremely small amount given for the price. It's too bad because they could have had a lifelong customer. Tuesday march 1st. Arrived with my family (6 of us) They let me inside and then ignored us at the door. I asked them what time they closed and a girl (some blonde girl) said "we already closed" with attitude. Then I repeated "what time do you close" and they said 10. We rushed out of dinner and arrived at 940 with the kiddos hoping to get a some dessert and no luck. If they had kindly explained they had closed for whatever reason that would have been okay. But they ignored us, gave attitude and proceeded to let some random guy (I'm assuming a friend of one of the workers) sample the ice cream. Sucks when youre on vacation with your family and can't get good customer service. Hopefully management makes some adjustments with the staff especially since there are so many poor reviews. read more

I had two cakes from this location within a few days of each other. The one on the 19th, was great down to the detail. The one for me on the 22nd came with chocolate cake when I know I ordered vanilla cake. I was very upset because I couldn't eat my own birthday cake. Out of a family of 5, only 1 ate my cake and her 2 friends who were over. I suffer from migraines and cannot have a lot of chocolate not to mention, I don't like chocolate cake. When I called to see if I could talk with a manager, unfortunately, I had the displeasure of reaching Phatima, an obvious kid with no customer service who has no business answering the phone. When I tried explaining what the problem was, she kept talking over me. When I said she could hear what the problem was if she'd stop talking over me, the girl insisted I was being rude and yelling at her. Rather than waste my time with a kid who didn't care about customer service, I asked for the manager's name and number and now her name. Not surprisingly, she didn't want to leave her name with me. Thankfully, a shift leader took hold of the phone and defused the call. But, ultimately, I don't know if my cake is going to be exchange or what? After this type of customer service with Phatima, I doubt I'll use this location again. It's a shame too cause BR cakes are a tradition for our family's birthdays.
