I came one afternoon and it was not busy at all. I was the only person there. There was an amazing lady who was so sweet and kind behind the counter. I got two scoops of ice cream: cookies and cream and their new banana Dulce de leche ice cream and it was BOMB. It was sweet with an amazing banana flavor that paired perfectly with the banana dulce de leche. I got it in a waffle cone bowl and loved eating the waffle cone too. I am extremely disappointed with the cake I received from this Baskin-Robbins location. I specifically ordered a polar bear cake, and what I was given looks nothing like the design advertised or shown when ordering. The face was poorly constructed, uneven, and sloppy. The frosting was messily applied, the features were misplaced, and the overall presentation looked rushed and careless. This cake was meant for a special occasion, and it was honestly embarrassing to present. What makes this more frustrating is that the reference photos clearly show a neat, well-defined design, yet what I received was nowhere close. For the price paid, I expected a reasonable level of quality and attention to detail. I was in the area and decided to stop for a treat. I proceeded to tell the young man my order and I wanted a freshly made waffle bowl. He advised of NO because it'll take at least 30 minutes for the machine to warm up. I asked when the waffle bowls was made, he informed me on yesterday. If I'm spending my money, I'll like my waffle bowl fresh. The quality of those bowls sitting overnight, yields stale to me. read more

This location has been here since I was a little girl which is 30 plus years! It's awesome to see that it's been able to survive many ups and downs in the economy. I usually try to stop here when I'm visiting my hometown because I am usually searching for my favorite flavor which you cannot get anywhere else other than Louisiana. It's called Daiquiri Ice. I went in and noticed that they didn't have it and I was a little disappointed so I got my second favorite flavor which is Creole Cream Cheese. It reminds me of the yummy cream cheese filling that's in king cakes during Mardi Gras. Something told me to ask them if they still carry the Daiquiri Ice flavor so I did and they told me that they had some in the back! I almost cried tears of joy! Lol! So instead of the 1 scoop I originally went in for I ended up with 3 scoops. The flavor is hard to describe. It's equally tart and sweet! Not like a sweet tart. It's better! They were so nice to go in the back and bring it up front so that I could have my 2 scoops! I explained to both of the workers that this location had been here since I was a little girl and one of my friends moms used to be the manager. They both had no idea how old the location was. This was a little piece of heaven and it made my trip home that much more special. read more

One thing we find hard to get in Baton Rouge is ice cream. Snowballs, gelato, and frozen yogurt seems to be the norm around BR. I was excited when I saw the Baskin Robbins store, knowing they would have what this WI girl was craving. The store is small. Only two tables inside and two out side. It was clean and all that mattered was the four cases with good ol' ice cream. Service was great. I sampled three flavors before ordering a scoop of Creole Cream Cheese and Mom's Making Cookies. Nice size scoops and oh so good! Will coming back here again soon! read more

Oh Baskin-Robbins. Always a breath of my nostalgia for me. I grew up going to Baskin-Robbins as far back as I can remember. In my day, it was definitely known as the high-end ice cream place. With so many crafty dessert, gelato, fro-yo places coming up, Baskin-Robbins has kinda fallen by the wayside. I still like coming here and the ice cream is still as good as I remember from when I was a kid. It's quite delicious, actually. They still have classic flavor favorites, ice cream cakes, ice cream pies and take-home pints. This location is a bit aged, but it's still clean and well taken care of. The employees were very helpful and the ice cream was creamy and scrumptious. I'm really surprised at the good reviews for this place. We went an hour before close but this was by far the worst Baskin-Robbins experience I've ever had. One of the freezers went out so only half the flavors were available, all the signs were hand written which made the place seem very low budget and not well taken care of, the display cones were fallen over, chipped, and half empty. There was only 1 employee at the time. She was nice but caught an attitude quick. We asked for a warm ice cream sandwich and she gave us a sundae (specifically, a scoop of icecream with 2 stale cookies on the side). She said "well I guess the only difference is that you put the cookie on top...?" And waited for us like she wanted us to say it's fine? It wasn't a big deal that the cookie wasn't on top. Our complaint was that the cookie was stale and not warm at all. If I'm going to pay $5 for an icecream sandwich, I'd like for it to be right. Otherwise I could make it myself. She remade it but warmed the cookie for too long and had trouble getting it out of the cup. It broke into pieces and the rest of it was stuck at the bottom of the cup. So she says she's going to wait for her coworker to come out so he can make it for us? We had been there for 30 minutes already and decided to just leave.. No thanks. read more

Stopped by this location today to pick up a quart of World Class Chocolate and had the best service! I didn't get their names but the guy and gal were super friendly and very helpful.
