My recent experience at Basin Feed was to get some chicks. I ordered the chicks and then stopped by to ask a bunch of questions. They answered all my questions and were extremely helpful. When I picked up my chicks, the chicks were in great health and the process was super efficient. I was able to get some of the things I needed before heading home. It's close, convenient and they have everything you need as a feed store. I believe in supporting local so this is a great option. read more

Well I got to tell you this is one of the worst websites I've ever seen I'm pretty sure if I live most like I know where it's at and I don't care about genie and I don't care about Kennewick but it doesn't tell you what the store carries it doesn't have selections of dog medicine dog food cat food cats medicine it is absolutely worth nothing looking at their website so whoever did the website better redo it because it's I wouldn't stop there because you can't even know what's there. My Husband and I stopped here to buy a dog bed. As soon as soon as I witnessed puppies in a galvanized tub being sold for over $1,000 I wanted to puke! Puppies in the store, run out the door! Which I did! I refuse to support any store that sells animals like this. It's not cute, it's not a warm fuzzy feeling- do your research joe public! No legit breeder would selL their animals like this, it's against their ethics. Not only that but the pups had no food and dirty water. I find it very sad that the owners obviously onlabout money rather than innocent animals. If they really cared, they would partner with the humane society rather than try and make $$$$ and continually sell puppies from a backyard. Update: I called animal control of Moses Lake on these fools after seeing the conditions; no food, dirty water. I was informed I was trespassed!! Yes, trespassed for my concern. That says it all!! According to WA law, the owners needed a reason to trespass me since I wasn't acting like a crazy person, swearing or threatening anyone. So, since I said I wanted the trespass notice in writing then the Manager decided I could come back. Since they had NO LEGIT reason. I also called Purina and asked why they would be a exclusive dealer to a store that sells backyard breeders dogs! What a horrible store and horrible people. read more

Overall the goods sold are fine but the customer service is terrible. They also sell, as another reviewer mentioned, puppies in these large galvanized tubs. No information on the dog other than the breed and watching puppies housed in this way in a store with a lot of activity going on is awful. The puppies get picked up and put down by one stranger after another and potential new owners are not vetted. Basin Feed should instead help the local overflowing Grant County Shelter adopt out its dogs and cats instead of selling more dogs/cats into a local community with a stray animal problem. I avoid this unfriendly and unscrupulous store as much as I can. There is a reason their parking lot is often empty. read more
