The doctor merely looked at my eyes without ANY equipment and said "they look fine". I went to another eye doctor of course, and turns out, I had a retinal tear which is a medical emergency. I get the bill in the mail for the visit. My insurance was charged almost $200 for the absolute most rudimentary "exam" I've ever had. Once again, they have NO computers in their office at all. No corneal imaging equipment. I was never even given a visual field test. Absolutely insane. Anyway I get the bill and call to make a payment over the phone- turns out they don't accept debit/credit card payments. They don't have an online portal either. The only way to pay is cash or check. I'm convinced this place has to be some kind of money laundering scheme because there is no way an actual doctor office in 2025 exists with zero equipment, zero computers, and doesn't even have a debit/credit card point of sale.

I purposely asked about whether or not the office was in network for my insurance and was told it was. The bill was sent to the wrong part of my insurance, medical not vision, then I get a bill for the entire visit. I called went over my insurance again and was told they would rebill it to the correct insurance. Another bill came with "past due" for the full amount so I called again after checking with my insurance to see if they had received a bill...they had not and went on to say she is not in network. I called back to the office again and gave the billing person a fax number to fax the bill in and now I have another bill threatening collections. Definitely will not be back.
