I don't even know where to start - but let's start with FABULOUS!!! My husband and I went to Basin Eye Care less than two weeks ago for long overdue eye exams. BEC came very highly recommended from a current client that just happens to work at BiMart. We were trying to avoid the "cattle call" approach that has become the business model for most corporate eye care businesses and we did NOT want to take our business to Walmart or any other non-family owned business. From the moment we called to make our appointments to checking in - being seen and getting our eye exams - we were treated like friends and family. The time and care that was taken with both my husband and myself reminded me of how folks were treated by health care professionals "back in the day". From Michelle #1 who did the initial exam - to "Doc Alex" who took her time to do a stellar job with the rest of our exams - to Shauna, Karen, Kathy and Michelle #2 - we were treated with respect and the perfect dose of humor. We were so impressed by all aspects of BEC that we made an appointment for our adult Autistic daughter. How does our experience get better? Our daughter was treated like a princess - and like she was part of the family. Our kiddo still hasn't stopped smiling and I think she made some friends today!! She picked out the cutest frames and cannot wait to get her new glasses. If you're looking for a true "hometown" family-oriented business that will give you the time and respect you deserve - call Basin Eye Care. We have zero regrets with our choice and are very happy to support a wonderful NON-CORPORATE small business with their priorities in the right places. It's basically the cheapest place to get glasses and eyewear in Klamath. The manager of the frames section called my glasses flimsy and suggested I get new ones. These glasses I have survived an airbag deployment in a car accident and being sat on. They are virtually indestructible. So the manager needs to borrow a reality check. The employees are good at their jobs, however the doctors didn't dilate my eyes and just asked me a bunch of questions to filter out various diseases of the eyes. The glasses I eventually ordered ended up not fitting very well at all. I believe some of the staff to be poorly trained. I had to visit this store THREE TIMES before they infomed me that they were unable to fill my prescription. I found this very unprofessional. The staff were not very helpful and less than energetic. I went to another optician and located the identical prescription sunglasses for $50 less than what Advanced Eye Care quoted me. The other store had the glassware in store in two weeks, less time than what Advanced Eye Care quoted me. I had been here just to purchase glasses in the past, and that experience went well. However, I went for an exam today. It started off on the wrong foot as they were running late and no one apologized. Then the first technician was having a hard time with the equipment, so that took a long time. There were multiple waits throughout the process, as well, and no one ever explained or apologized for long waits. It was clear that my time was not valued. When the doctor (optometrist Dr. Creed) came in, he was brief but inoffensive. He sent me to a technician for contacts. I had told Dr. Creed that I was considering contacts, but the technician said there was a fee for a fitting. This had not been explained, so I told her I would like to speak to the doctor to see about getting the prescription. Somehow from this comment, the clinic manager came in and basically tried to escort me out of the office. She told me I was, "not following their policies," but she could not explain this. I had never been rude or raised my voice, so I have no idea why she escalated the situation. The doctor came back in and made it sound like I should have known about how the fitting worked, but he had never explained it. A reasonable office would have just let me speak to the doctor again when I had a question. I was treated rudely by the clinic manager and doctor when my only "fault" was having a question. I was shocked an this treatment, and have never experienced anything like this before with any of my medical providers. I hope this review helps prevent others from having similar experiences. We are trying a new eye doctor in town for my husband. I'll post how that goes. read more

I have been a client of Dr. Creed for over 15 years. His staff are well trained, his equipment is state of the art. He buys the latest updated each year. A couple of years ago they did a complete remodel of the building, the eyeglass choice increased, the waiting room relaxing. Dr. Creed has always explained in detail his evaluation of my eye condition, showing me the digital photos on screen. I appreciate his knowledge and his easy manner. I will say they have cutting edge equipment. Went in for eye examine, ordered glasses, so far so good...went back to pick glasses up, they wanted to do a "follow up". Ok, THEN I get a bill for over three hundred dollars. No one told me this was another procedure. 15 minutes later I owed $308.
