I don't even know where to start - but let's start with FABULOUS!!!…read more My husband and I went to Basin Eye Care less than two weeks ago for long overdue eye exams. BEC came very highly recommended from a current client that just happens to work at BiMart. We were trying to avoid the "cattle call" approach that has become the business model for most corporate eye care businesses and we did NOT want to take our business to Walmart or any other non-family owned business. From the moment we called to make our appointments to checking in - being seen and getting our eye exams - we were treated like friends and family. The time and care that was taken with both my husband and myself reminded me of how folks were treated by health care professionals "back in the day". From Michelle #1 who did the initial exam - to "Doc Alex" who took her time to do a stellar job with the rest of our exams - to Shauna, Karen, Kathy and Michelle #2 - we were treated with respect and the perfect dose of humor. We were so impressed by all aspects of BEC that we made an appointment for our adult Autistic daughter. How does our experience get better? Our daughter was treated like a princess - and like she was part of the family. Our kiddo still hasn't stopped smiling and I think she made some friends today!! She picked out the cutest frames and cannot wait to get her new glasses. If you're looking for a true "hometown" family-oriented business that will give you the time and respect you deserve - call Basin Eye Care. We have zero regrets with our choice and are very happy to support a wonderful NON-CORPORATE small business with their priorities in the right places. Thank you Basin Eye Care for making our family feel at home. Sorry for your luck - you're stuck with us!

It's basically the cheapest place to get glasses and eyewear in Klamath. The manager of the frames…read moresection called my glasses flimsy and suggested I get new ones. These glasses I have survived an airbag deployment in a car accident and being sat on. They are virtually indestructible. So the manager needs to borrow a reality check. The employees are good at their jobs, however the doctors didn't dilate my eyes and just asked me a bunch of questions to filter out various diseases of the eyes. Not a place to get your eyes checked!

The doctor merely looked at my eyes without ANY equipment and said "they look fine". I went to another eye doctor of course, and turns out, I had a retinal tear which is a medical emergency. I get the bill in the mail for the visit. My insurance was charged almost $200 for the absolute most rudimentary "exam" I've ever had. Once again, they have NO computers in their office at all. No corneal imaging equipment. I was never even given a visual field test. Absolutely insane. Anyway I get the bill and call to make a payment over the phone- turns out they don't accept debit/credit card payments. They don't have an online portal either. The only way to pay is cash or check. I'm convinced this place has to be some kind of money laundering scheme because there is no way an actual doctor office in 2025 exists with zero equipment, zero computers, and doesn't even have a debit/credit card point of sale.

I purposely asked about whether or not the office was in network for my insurance and was told it was. The bill was sent to the wrong part of my insurance, medical not vision, then I get a bill for the entire visit. I called went over my insurance again and was told they would rebill it to the correct insurance. Another bill came with "past due" for the full amount so I called again after checking with my insurance to see if they had received a bill...they had not and went on to say she is not in network. I called back to the office again and gave the billing person a fax number to fax the bill in and now I have another bill threatening collections. Definitely will not be back.
