Apart from a fresh but otherwise undistinguished takeaway cheese-burger, I usually stick to a light-supper/pre-game sized snack, but my friend's grilled barra was so yummy I regret not ordering more. It is a cosy and bright space too, and strikes a careful balance between being cafe casual, friendly for kids, appropriate for a drink and lit to flattering perfection for date night.

The quality of the steak and ribs is up with the best, service is attentive, polite and some what adorable. Downside, don't go too early unless you want to eat with geriatrics and children. The decor is close to a sad unloved Chinese restaurant and an Australiana diner. Not pretty ! Drop the front window vinyls to table level, put your tables of 2 to the front would be a good start. All up it's a good local steakhouse you can rely on.

The majority of the staff are pretty good, but there are one or two who need more training, however this is not a complaint as the restaurant only opened recently. I had the Butchers Burger with extra cheese. I couldn't finish it but it was delicious. I hope they allow dogs somewhere at the front of the restaurant, as I noticed there are lots of people with dogs in the area (I'll be one of them) and I think making the place dog-friendly will give it a warmer, village feel to it.

He said the potatoes were greasy and bland though, and that everything on his plate needed a bit of love (Kind of ironic, as it was a Valentines Day menu.)
